Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit - Relay Race Gameplay (2.0 Update)

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit has received an all-new 2.0 update that adds split-screen multiplayer, Relay Co-op, a Luigi Cup with three new course themes, and a Poltergust G-00 kart with Spooky Horn (unlockable). In this video, we have recorded gameplay of the Relay Race multiplayer mode where up to four players can take turns at random to control the same kart around a circuit. Each player must choose between Mario/Luigi (depending on the set you have), Toad, Yoshi, and Princess Peach.

Accurate animations tho, you can simply see Toad dismounting the kart to let the next player in.

Can you play as Toad on other modes or only relay?

I wanted to setup 2 karts for splitscreen playing one one switch, i can however only select one player... what am i doing wrong? I cannot find any tutorial on the web, please help..
