Some people would find it very hard to come to the U.S, which is highly opinionated and politicized against some nationalities. We would love to see you doing these workshops in Europe and less exotic places. Thank you for being wonderful!
I have land on the island of Mindanao and Misamis province. $15k can get a three bedroom with out side CR and dirty kitchen. Concrete slab and steal roof etc. Made in hollow block. I like this Eden dome as a roof / second floor. The curved shape may be stronger in the typhoons common to the island. Also, this tiny structure may work as a CR, shower or laundry. Rather then one rectangular building with metal roof, two or three domes as side by side utility structures.
Fortunately for you, depending upon where you live on Mindanao, the likelihood of direct hits from typhoons is much lower than in the rest of the archipelago. However, I would be somewhat concerned with using aircrete on a second floor above a cast concrete or hollow block wall. Even with a fiberglass outer shell, you run the risk of water damage in the event of an object hitting the outside of the structure and exposing the aircrete to water damage. As you know, typhoons can generate multiple days of continuous extremely heavy rains that could affect aircrete's natural water absorption. Additionally, aircrete is not capable of withstanding the force of objects such as coconuts and trees being propelled at high velocity by typhoon strength winds. Most applications of AAC throughout the Philippines are used as interior walls. Flying debris typically will not affect the structural integrity of a cast concrete wall, or a reinforced hollow block wall. You will need to check with the Department of Building Official and they will look and analyze your submitted plans to guarantee that your application complies with the National Building Code of the Philippines (PD 1096), Fire Code of the Philippines (RA 9514), and your Local Building Codes. A single-story, stand-alone structure such as those featured by Domegaia is not meant to provide safe shelter in typhoon or hurricane prone areas.
aircrete sounds and looks cool but Ive noticed that all the homes made with it are relatively small, is there a reason behind that(like structural) or is the market just not there for it.
We tend to focus on small becuase our roots are in affodable housing. Once you get into large structures the costs are so much higher. We also focus on building that anyone can build themselves and smaller structures are perfect for that. That said, aircrete works great for 1000 - 2000 sqft homes as well.

What's the difference between Aircrete and aerated and cellular concrete? I watched this vid about a house built from “cellular concrete” blocks and wondered how they can use it structurally and aircrete isn't? ruclips.net/video/90X_698x2q4/видео.html
It's all basically the same thing, just with different names. The formulas and mixes can vary from manufacturers and Do-It-Yourselfers, but the principle achievement is the same regardless of the name or terminology... a lightweight, foam-infused mix of a variety of possible foam sources with concrete and aggregates that are formed into bricks and cured to be used as a wall material.

Thanks. As to fire in my barangay, those bamboo payags, burn in minutes.
seems like aircrete is able to make a sauna. any experiences you can share about aircrete herbal steam sauna? thank you.
I think this is a great idea but I don't have much to share. I'm planning on building one myself so will keep you posted.
Thank you for sharing!
