- Being in the industry for years, there are few things in the hobby that really doesn't surprise me any more when it comes to designs of certain products. Many of them are tried and proven designs and shapes over decades of the hobby and protein skimmers and calcium reactors are few that comes to mind. So imagine my surprise, when I saw a full size skimmer in a rectangle box shape, with no skimmer cup but with filter roller that will auto clean itself instead.
Intrigued yet? I certainly was.
That was not all. Just like their name, it really was all about reefing smart. Extremely modular design had many different ways to filter specially how it integrated algae scrubber in their overall unit that combines together with the skimmer.
I went to their booth to learn more about this unit, how it works, cost and where to get it!

I really like the thinking behind this all in one filtration! Definitely out of my price range but maybe one day!

Love the idea, looks like it would be a pain to clean.
Not much cleaning needed except scraping algae off algae reactor part. Just get the dirty rollers out once it's done.
@Wreckanize thanks for your comment. the entire filtration system has been designed to minimize required cleaning. We have a video series on Instagram where you can watch us setup, use, maintain the filter.
Very clever. Don’t reinvent the wheel, improve it or use it somewhere else. I need to see this thing in action because my system produces a lot of crap. LOL

Ive been curious about the frozen food feeder they have. Should be decent for seahorse tanks.

@@Reefscom im skeptical about the all in one filtration since rollermats reduce the production of skimmers and algae scrubbers but im intrigued!
@@poor_mansreef8908 i was skeptical as well but after checking out the units, I remain optimistic and I want to see it running! Hopefully it will be amazing and live up to my, now crazy expectations 😆
@@poor_mansreef8908 our all in one filter has 3 ways to tweak the nutrient export. The roller mat has a bypass outlet on the top. You can use a smart outlet, turn it off, and the roller mat will be bypassed. The algae scrubber light and the skimmer pump can also be placed on smart outlets or timers. You can turn each device on independently of each other giving you the ability to tweak the performance to your own tank.

It's a interesting skimmer idea but over priced IMO. Not too keen on the 3 in 1 filter though.
Thanks for your comments. The 3 in 1 filter is a space saving design that minimizes required maintenance. It’s all high quality cast acrylic and hand built by experts. The product is easy to setup, maintain and will last many years. We are a USA company and will provide excellent customer service. You can be assured you are getting a quality product and outstanding value.
Some great ideas here but unfortunately made on the cheap out of brittle acrylic glued together, must be a USA made product....
Thanks for your comment. We use industry standard and widely available high quality materials. The filter is made with CNC machined and laser cut 1/4” cast-acrylic that is solvent welded and hand assembled. In no-way is the material cheap or brittle. Most aquarium sumps and especially the higher end sumps are made from the exact material. Protein skimmers are also made From this material. We have put a lot of time and effort into making the product extremely high quality and durable, even more so than other aquarium products that you are accustomed to using. It’s also backed by a 2 year warranty, and always great customer support and individual attention.
@@smarterreefs6350 Sure, that's a great sales pitch, but in the end it is STILL just sheets of acrylic glued together which is the "cheap" option and for some reason the USA seems to think this means "quality" (and yes acrylic starts brittle, gets more so over time and get worse when exposed to water and uv and suffers micro fracturing if expose to temperature variations). It is 2022, a "quality" product would be moulded and not look DIY....
Like I said, there are some great ideas here and if this was a DIY job then it is a fantastic first go, BUT as "quality product" it falls a long way short and are charging way too much. And frankly, a 2 year warranty is terrible at best, especially considering what it is designed for, a marine tank, which generally will last a lot longer than 2 years.
