I had this Ioniq (in white) 6 years ago. I drove it for almost 2 years, then changed to Tesla M3. Now I have again an Ioniq Classic as our second car. And it feels so good. This car has great features and is still competitive today. I could not find a better second hand car.
The cooling of the batterypack in the Ioniq is active air cooling. There's a slot on the front of the rear seats that you must NOT cover... and I can recommend you keep the car running, and the AC on 15C if you are near the vehicle anyways, so you cool the pack more.
Btw, EVNotify is capable of sending a message to your phone at a programmable SOC level or when charging is interrupted.
In general its a quite interessting video that shows that long trips are possible even with a 28kWh Ioniq.
I like mine, but never
made a trip longer than 600km.
I just discovered your channel and I love your videos.
That's very kind!
Travelling abroad and arriving empty only to find a broken charger, that is my worst nightmare right there.
simply cool, thankyou.
0:27 Never seen a steeringwheel with perforated leather in an Ioniq.
5:18 These REMA plugs are not liquidcooled but can handle 400A. Many Alpitronic chargers in Germany also have these cables, but with different plug.
7:39 I owned an Ioniq for 3 years and the throttling kicked in either when the voltage is at 390V or the battery temperature is above 46°C, then you get ~60kW. Above 50°C you only get ~30kW.
17:53 They charged with ~75kW. Normally this car should take more than 100kW until 80%.
If this car had a 40kwh battery, it would be perfect!
You can get it with 38kWh now, but it charges much slower on DC.
maybe 50 ;)
Quite ambitious to make such a long journey in an electric car, but well done!
Hey, topvideo!
hugo looks like the persian comedian. max amini. google him! hah. well done guy. i envy you. i want a long trip on my ioniq28 too. please upload a new road trip when hugo gets his ioniq 5
This is a trip I have done many times; well for me, den Haag to L’Escala. I think you are very brave to do this in an Ioniq 28kwh. Currently selecting my next EV on its ability to conveniently do this trip and carry two e-bikes. Ioniq 5 is currently top of the list. I am interested to know how you get on. Based on French infrastructure, maybe I should wait for Tesla Model Y
We hope to do the trip again later this year.... with the IONIQ5! Any vehicle that lets you ride the IONITY wave is fine even in France :> Keep an eye out on electricfelix.com/trips
Good luck! I will watch with interest.
I hear that French infrastructure has gotten better...to be followed
Good Travel .. I m french and the electric recharge Bégin , not goog réseau
Lekker blijven rijden :>
Can I ask what charging keys/cards you used on your trip?
You can but times change so it's not necessarily very relevant today! I will always bring Chargemap/Izivia/KiWhi/NewMotion(Shell Recharge)/a DCS card (think Hyundai, BMW, Skoda)/EnBW/ChargePoint and some others on all trips, plus apps, like Bonnet ;-) I suggest you take a look at my blog for more info.
Thank you!
At 20:45, shouldn't' the 22kw charger charge 22 kwh in an hour?
The IONIQ can only take one phase on AC so you’re limited to 7kW always ⚡️
Thank you for the information !
last trip before the nazi pass ?
can you still go across countries now ?
do you have an update on the chargers status ?
