Looking really good. I've decided to build my own pod unit and I'm going for a small sink/hob, no fridge. I like your extra cupboard space by removing the panel, but my rear heater works perfectly so it's staying. I'm taking inspiration for the narrow shelf though and maybe have a flip up table there too.
@VantasticIdeas I've been making a few bits. Just been mastering the settings etc. Bit of a learning curve, but I'm pretty much there now. I'll have to send you some bits for your Bongo 😁
Worktop looks really good. Glad you didn't do natural pine. Always goes orange after a while. My trade for 40 yrs has been wood floor restoration. And done loads of pine floorboards.. Always used a white oil if they wanted natural pine. If it was mine. I would now give it 2 coats of gloss lacquer. Flooring grade. Which obviously I have plenty of. Probably what I use for sports halls etc
I hadn't actually included that so you didn't miss it. It's bolted down to the seat rails and will also be attached to the side when I get around to it.
It would definitely work, but as you say it's very heavy. If it's the really think stuff it might start to look a little cumbersome as well? Is it a large worktop? It's worth looking at lightweight plywood from clearcut conversions as they do half sheets delivered (it would require knock on edge trim for that though). cheers 👍
Call me sad but i have been looking forward to this video all week.
I've sold my Bongo, but I'm still here!
Bit nervous when I saw the first black coat, but wow it looks beautiful now its finished. Great video. 😊
Glad you're liking the videos, makes it all worth while :) Cheers 👍
Black was totally the right choice. Very classy :)
Thanks, I was very unsure at first but really happy with the result! Cheers 👍

USB rechargeable water pump. We use one on our old Motorhome. We also have one as backup for our Bongo. Cheers from old George
Good idea, might be worth having one around. cheers 👍
@@VantasticIdeas Yep here's a link to my water pump. Cheap as chips.

Very nice

Looking good, maybe i missed it but how is the unit fixed to the bongo?
I hadn't actually included that so you didn't miss it. It's bolted down to the seat rails and will also be attached to the side when I get around to it.
I need a new worktop as I want to replace the hob etc? Would household work top work or too heavy?
It would definitely work, but as you say it's very heavy. If it's the really think stuff it might start to look a little cumbersome as well?
