      @@icankillbugs no no fortunately… my pops won’t even let me get a bigger amp because we live an apartment and I can already blow the roof off lol, but it’s a 25 watt bass amp and I play guitar 😭
      Unrelated, I’m just spewing out words lol but it has a contour button which drops the mids like it’s a guitar amp and I have an eq pedal so it sounds just like your average solid state guitar amp

    I actually used this method when I bought a used 412 from a friend loaded with Cel 7080s for like $60. He said 2 of the speakers had blown but the DC resistance read only 8 ohms when it was supposed to be 16 ohms. With the multimeter, not only was I able to determine the DC resistance for impedance matching with tube amps, I was also able to fix the cab as well.

    Wrong impedance really doesent blow you amp up. The worst thing that can happen is that it wont be as efficient. Although it does worth the impedance matching.

      Heads don't have resistance. They have a minimum resistance that you can use without blowing the head. So run a high impedance speaker and it will be fine... It just might not be as loud as it possibly could be with a lower resistance cab

    • @alexwilley7972
      @alexwilley7972 3 месяца назад

      Odd that 4 8 ohm speakers would give you 4 ohm total, often 4x12 cabs are wired parallel in pairs then connected in series, which would make it an 8 ohm cab. I would make sure all speakers aren't wired in series, that would give you 32 ohm. You could compare wiring to an image online or share a picture on a guitar forum
