Love this style. Creepy, educational, and fitting a musical performance in the mix is tasteful. Also, there was a time where prisoners that were on death row would fight over who gets decapitated first because the blade would become less and less sharp each time it was used, and therefore some people would not experience instant death, but rather bleed out.
It's also not 100% instant death (up to 60 seconds and the feeling of pain is proven in the first seconds) with a normal decapitation, but probably much better than bleeding to death.

Incredible work. If you can, you should set up some planks to build a concrete form around the base of the guillotine. I know it's already built as of now, but the added support wouldn't be a bad thing, as it might sink over time and become lopsided,
I must say, I really like the little historical info while building the contraption itself. It really adds a really nice touch to it all. Keep up the good work Rusty
I know this is probably weird to say but you are so Cool, like you embody Coolness and I admire you for that. Also this video is extremely interesting.
I do not think a street sign will be heavy enough. They are usually made out of pretty thin and soft metal. If it was me, I would be looking for a sheet of 1/4 mild steel. It is a bit soft for making a blade, but easy to work with and moderately priced. If you wanted to be super dangerous, you could try to source a blade from an industrial paper cutter, but if you have any workplace accidents they would most likely result in a loss of body parts.
I HEAR YOU. So far the major response is that a street sign will be a bad choice for a blade because it is aluminum, which is too thin and weak to hold a sharp edge and stand impact. I will look for thicker steel instead.

Street signs in the US are flimsy aluminum, his best bet is to find/buy a large chunk of 1/4" steel that will have some heft to it and sharpen it

Best collab. I love both Rusty and James Lee.
I love all of your content, but this is one of your best videos yet in my opinion. You're the hero we all need Rusty. Never change
He's not the hero we need, he's the only one we got.
Incredible work. I love your approach at telling the story of the Guillotine, the fact that during the Terror is was more often used against ordinary citizens rather than nobles and aristocrats really goes against the usual image of it being a revolutionary tool against the ruling class. This is something people tend to forget.
Ayo, brotha man, brotha man- this content is needed
When an American gives a better lesson on French history, and above all more interesting, in one 15 minutes long video, than your French history teacher over the whole year. 😂❤ I really love this channel and the efforts and documentation put in those videos ! Greetings from France ! 🇫🇷
"You can call me Al." That's friggin hilarious! What a good laugh. First time viewer here and I gotta say, the camera and production work are exquisite, totally professional. And great story telling too.
I am quite curious to see what this channel is about and where it is going.
Thank you for sharing your art Rusty Cage.
The algorithm needs to get this shit everywhere ASAP
Top tier content rusty, hope to see this channel blow up big time.
I wish I could properly articulate how incredible of a songwriter you are. I aspire to be even 1% as amazing as you are at creating music. Also your voice works so so well for the music you make ❤️
I love the overall mood of this video. You are so good at storytelling. This is the content that I want to see, sadly youtube is doing a very good job at hiding it.
If you can, you should set up some planks to build a concrete form around the base of the guillotine. I know it's already built as of now, but the added support wouldn't be a bad thing, as it might sink over time and become lopsided,
J.adore the bells of wall street with the alarm clock of the 20s motif
I must say, I really like the little historical info while building the contraption itself. It really adds a really nice touch to it all. Keep up the good work Rusty
Rusty could seriously make a good horror film. Short film or full blown movie.
Rusty adapting to modern thumbnail tactics, hopefully it'll enable him to make more content
A quote that keeps me sane at times like these, "We have nothing to lose but our chains, worker's of the world unite!"
@Valiancin more sane then you are clearly xD
@Valiancin Mhm OK sure bud 👍
The song was actually quite haunting, such quality content
Hearing James Lee's voice made me so happy. I love his stuff.
Even if he has 1.59 million subscribers considering what he has done to be so successful he is underrated
I've never gotten so excited within the first second of a youtube video than I have with this seeing "Featuring James Lee"
