Forget multinational corporations paying low wages and stashing all the profits in tax havens. This is true wealth, where the community comes together to help each other out. I love the way your customers bring back the egg cartons..

@@jackmorgan1677 : Globalization undermines the notion and ideal of " community " ...
to harken back to Malcomson's comment . The global capitalists ( i.e. the multinational corporations )
are deliberately undermining the economic and social bonds of the community
so that they can gain even more social control than what they have obtained during the pandemic .
      The systems of capitalism work especially well on a local and regional level ;
but capitalism has reached its extreme in the United States . Naturally , this system
in the United States will need to collapse .... the Empire will need to fall ... as we are beginning to witness right now .

I echo that sentiment. I've been buying my meat from a local farm for the last couple years and never looked back. I only buy some raw milk cheeses from Whole Foods cause I can't get it anywhere else, but I do check out the farmers market for that as well. Never shop at Walmart and wouldn't want to quite frankly.

@@John57945 If you can find a source of raw milk you could try making your own cheese. This fall I'm planning to try making farmers cheese (I'm told the easiest to make) and mozzarella (I'm told the second easiest to make).

I am not spending that, and what I make from YT is also saved for my retirement. I have spent many hours on this channel showing how it can be done. A good week at the farmers market, which consists of this market and one other we attend, supports my family and my operation for between 1 and 2 weeks, allowing for lesser sales in the winter.

You have a wonderful thing going here and a great channel. In the past year I’ve learned more collectively than probably the previous 20. Im a large dairy producer with for a well know group in the Great Lakes Region and in 2020 we volunteered to make drastic changes to our operation including dumping milk just to ensure our smaller partners had room at the table through these tough times. A few months ago my oldest son (16) made the observation that I never smile anymore, he asked if I wasn’t happy farming anymore. For the first time in my life I couldn’t answer that question. My family has been milking cows here since before Michigan was a state. The thought of not milking cows is like thinking about giving up breathing. Anyone who farms especially a many generation family farm knows the feeling. The amount of smiling you do in your videos is inspirational! I have found myself lately looking for opportunities to smile or laugh…hell maybe both simultaneously even. Please keep doing what you do and sharing it with the RUclips community. Your optimism and those occasional jokes will keep my comfort back! -FFB

The State NY. Put a 2 lane highway through their farm . Making the cows to walk twice daily across the road . Beautiful lands green grass open fields. Cool breeze . Simple living. They had a beautiful home red brick outside . Huge acres of land around there home front n back yard. The barn had its own location set back off from the house with more open green grass fields. Beautiful market place! Wish we had something to that degree nearby here in Texas! Tremendous amount of work goes into being a vendor. Our local farmers market is more crafts and stuff!

Great video! You are so right about the ‘Sold Out’ sign. Many people were intrigued and commented on how good we must be since we were sold out!

You can buy white magnetic strips that you can write on - they’d be great for your sold out notation. 😉 ☮️

As the channel grows you can expect more and more ppl to show up knowing you from youtube and hopefully they'll be polite enough to buy something too.

There's nothing like locally sourced food. I wish I could find a local chicken/egg farmer by me. It's weird since I live in Wisconsin. lol

Great job finding the balance with what you can produce and what you need to live. How long did it take to find that balance? Thank you for the video and sharing your farm Pete!

Hello, I have questions: When a Dexter cow gives birth to a calf, you also milk the cow or the calf drinks all the milk and the cow has no udder inflammation and grazes nicely on the grass day and night? Is it the same as with meat breeds of cattle?
Are there any processes such as drying the cow? Thank you, I'm watching the one from Slovakia and you have great videos.

I was checking out your prices on you board... they are quite reasonable! I see higher prices for steak at the grocery stores around here in Maine... and the quality is not at the level of your steaks.

That's a sweet looking market y'all have there Mr. Pete! Great looking home grown produce at a reasonable price that definitely tastes better than anything in the store. You are a great example of something Daddy always told me "it doesn't cost you a thing to be nice to people." 😊
