Absolutely stunning, I loved the almost ethereal music in the beginning!! Very unexpected voices, but exceptional abilities from them. I am a traditionalist. I grew up with Simon and Garfunkel. Prefer their originals first. This is good though
@@mstewart109 Simon & Garfunkel were not the original. We learned this in school, as it is a Traditional Folk song. Personal preference is Forestella over Simon & Garfunkel, with Primary 7 in 1966 led by Miss Watson as my favourite version. 😂
You are in for a treat. I don't even have "Scarborough Fair" in my Top Ten Forestella performances. The song most women seem to like is "Je Suis Malade". It is simply stunning (an overused word, but justified.) They sing in multiple languages flawlessly. Spanish, say their Spanish is perfect, as do French, Italian and.. Zulu. As you've seen their English is perfect too. "Shape of you" is fun, and better than Ed Sheerin. 😲 "Bad Romance" is actually better than Lady Gaga (I laugh that a Classically trained Tenor can sound like Gaga). 😂 "Bohemian Rhapsody" is second only to Queen (because I'm a huge Queen fan). Their "Hijo de la Luna" is like Scarborough Fair, but better. You'll settle for a favourite (Koo WooRim.. Basso profundo). Kang Hyung-ho (he does the high notes but has a huge range), Cho Mingyu (Tenor is the leader and driving force... Very funny too). And Bae Doo-Hoon is Theatrically trained and is the glue who hold the voices together. Enjoy. 👍

He was a Research Chemist who was Singer in a Rock band in his spare time. You must see his (Kang Hyung-Ho's) "Phantom of the Opera".

I'm glad you enjoyed their cover of this beautiful song. Forestella is one of my latest discoveries. Each of the members has a great voice, but their harmony when they sing together is outstanding.
Their group name is a mixture of "forest" and the Latin/Italian word "stella", which means star. So Forestella means a forest of stars.
Their names from left to right in this video: Ko Woorim (classically trained bass), Kang Hyungho (countertenor and rock voice, no formal vocal training), Cho Mingyu (classically trained tenor and leader of the group), Bae Doohoon (tenor, musical actor).
I hope to see more reactions to them on your channel. You can't go wrong with any of their performances. Some recommendations: Hijo de la luna, Je suis malade, Spread Silk on my heart, Inner universe, Time in a bottle, Nella Fantasia and of course their own beautiful song "Save our Lives" (the music video is a cinematic masterpiece).

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; a survival audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with Bad Romance which seems toxic version of their Lazenca Save Us, winning 5 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Recently Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be executed.

I'm a hard core Dimash fan but I recently discovered this group, Adam, and I think there are even other performances that more brilliantly emphasize their incredible harmonies, perhaps the best of which is "Hijo de la Luna." After discovering Dimash over 5 years ago I never thought I'd be interested in any other singer ever, but this group has made me reassess.
One should also not compare such extraordinary talents, but rather appreciate all their special talents. With FORESTELLA it's just 4 unique voices that attract a lot of attention on their own. But when they create these incredible harmonies together, add to that the incredible stage presence, it just blows your mind.
They're really amazing singers

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme are traditional wedding bouquets. This song was my wedding song. I love the background song, canticle. It gives great depth to the song. Nobody ever did it better than Simon and Garfunkel though.

this is a traditional english folk song...SImon and Garfunkel made a very good version of it but it's not their original song.
Definitely NOT K-Pop! One of - if not THE - best Classical Cross-over Quartet's on the the planet. The Bass and the original Lyric Tenor are classically / operatic trained. The 2nd Bari-Tenor has a Musical Theatre and Pop background and that beautiful crystal clear sweet counter-tenor [ Manprano! 😂] has a background as -- wait for it... an Industrial Chemist!
Simply wonderful. They individually came to compete on some kind of 'singer' competition, and some GENIUS got them to form this group.

Dimash is outstanding but there is no need to belittle other artist's huge talent as is the case of Forestella.And though Dimash can sing all parts separately, he can't do the harmonies that these 4guys do which are absolutely beautiful!

Con esto quiero decir que él y ellos son maravillosos y ambos nos ofrecen verdaderas delicias con sus maravillosas voces y su buen hacer.

Hoy he visto esa actitud dos veces pero en sentido opuesto. En una reacción a la actuación de Hyung cantando el Fantasma de la ópera, alguien para ensalzar su registro de soprano ha tenido la brillante idea de compararlo con Dimash diciendo que Dimash no canta, chilla, y que además tiene menos presencia escénica. De esto último no tengo nada que decir, en mi opinión ambos se comen el escenario pero gustos son gustos, sin embargo decir que Dimash chilla me parece un despropósito de dimensiones titánicas. Se ve que no lo ha visto cantando Ave María.
