What people need to understand is that Pac is the greatest rapper, not the best rapper. He is not the best rapper technically because he didn't try to be. His focus wasn't on tempo, wordplay, punchlines and metaphors. He spit that deep, passionate real shit from the pit of his stomach and the core of his soul. The emotional tone in his music sinks into your spirit. Pac's music is more than just music, his shit is spiritual and grabs a hold of your ass and never lets go. No other rapper can be compared to this brother period.
Yes please stop comparing rappers to Tupac... Thats equivalent to comparing today's ballers w Michael Jordan... For those youngins who weren't alive or remember the 90s please listen to non commercialized tupac songs... And watch a Michael Jordan documentary followed by his highlight reel... And realize tupac was/is the Michael Jordan of the rap community
I definitely agree to some extent with what you're trying to say but at the time when you made this comment there were players who could compared to Michael Jordan obviously the late great Kobe Bryant being one of them he was playing at that time. And secondly there have been a couple handful of artists that I could compare to Tupac and T.I. is definitely been one of them
There is no comparison with 2Pac and ANY rapper after his death. When it came to intellect, personality, originality, swag, subject matter, etc. He was on a level far beyond what could be comprehended at the time and we are now just catching up to the deepness of his lyrics. 2Pac was deep as fuck. He will always be the face of rap.
I’ve interviewed, met, hung out with hundreds of artists in my life but none of them compare to the elemental concentration of Tupac. He was pure live lithium - ignite on impact with regular air. He needed no marketing, no management - he was the real deal, the rawest element. Artists are not confined to genre - genre is a marketing tool. Nina Bhadeswhear - Journalist
its been over 15yrs and u can still hear unheared verses and songs of Pac, how can u deny his the greatest?!! "game when applied, help me survive several centuries"-Makaveli
Tupac and T.I.'s lyrics sound so similar becuase they both rap about overcoming adversities in life, the only difference is T.I. can come just from a street nigga's perspective, where as Pac can come from a street nigga and political perspective.
2pac was one of the greatest rappers in this world and no one in this world will ever come close to him t.i. does not even have any good comparisons with Pac, Pac was an artist a poet and an actor he had a tough childhood and made something with his life and tried to change the world
i love T.I. he has such a calm demeanor and swagg and so well spoken and lyrically he cant be competed with by that many people yet he's so underated because quality music unfortunatley isnt as much the focus anymore... R.I.P Tupac and R.I.P GoodMusic
He got there thru God. Not Tupac.... When he says, "its like tupac never died" he is saying that b/c tupac lived for the Lord and not for Money or fame.
Naw,i'm from Miami and don't fuck with Ross at all,but like i said said if you actually listened to T.I.'s albums you would know that he and Pac stands for the same thing, trying to uplift people, not bring them down. It's obvious, that you only listen to what the media puts out on T.I. instead of actually listening to the whole album, just like with Pac,he had to sometimes put out a radio hit,for people to want to buy his album to get the full message, that's why i compare the two.
T.I.'s music doesn't suck, it simply is different. And one could understand his arrogance, but comparing yourself to 2pac? Pac's arrogance was 10 times bigger.
"And I'll respect any great man. Black or white I'm going to study him, Learn him, so he can be great to me no more. That's why I changed Machiavelli to Makaveli."
I wonder where or how T.I. gets his intelectual vocabulary from. Cuz he can adress himself as a very educated person, and also have the gangsta southern hospitality right next to his name. I wonder if he reads a lot... or maybe he practices his speech with someone or something like that...
Pac made me feel like he new me,his lyrics was about everybody. The good die young,he was fighting for equal rights and he was the best of all rappers no doubt. He would talk about the future when other rappers were busy talking about jewelery and money, rest in peace n...ga there's a heaven for a G.
You're right, T.I. was called out, he is not charismatic as Pac,not energetic like Pac,not magnetic like Pac, not creative like Pac. Until this clown drops a classic album close to AEOM in two weeks, then he can talk, but he never will. He looked like an idiot when that interview was slightly patronizing him, he called his ass out nicely, and all TI said "YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW" including him gloating from what Pacs family said to him subliminally.Tupac family should be ashamed making that comparison
really... i cant believe some of these comments saying t.i is better than pac , lil wayne is better than pac , nigga WHAT THE FUCK ? cant compare tupac to anyone , just go deep listen to his songs listen to what others say about him , man tupac wrote like 4 or 5 fucking songs per day , aint nobody like dat , the nigga was Smaart , the nigga had talent , cant compare ANYONE to tupac , tupac is a god damn legend , back in the 90's he was considered as the black jezus in them damn ghettos , but damn yall are probably 15 , if u aint lived in the 90's please do ur researches about pac and dont talk shit
Rugey Hey well said but this generation is to ignorant to understand 2pac lets keep it 100 all this new school crap dont talk about nothing at all they mumble most of the time tupac spoke with a purpose he aimed to feed your mind and help you through your day his knowledge compares to no other artists to touch a mic and kids of today dont understand a real mc all they understand is money clothes hoes cars colored hair and how to wear pants tighter then there significant other so they speak down on him because hes to real he spoke on real topics and situations and this generation fears the words of a warrior they soft as baby poop they dont stand for shit so they will stand for anything and thats why they follow and represent anything thats put out in the crap game now days they are brain washed and dont even realize it they have been programmed to dumb down everything and not use there brains to think for themselves its a sad world we live in and anyone who comments and hates on this comment is definitely from this generation but will type otherwise because no one who lived through the 90s will ever stick up for this garbage ass crap game we owned the rap game when it was still a mans sport not to sound sexist but its full of bitch niggaz who wanna be females and wear skirts dresses and tights tell me im wrong lol
T.I. has been in the game since 2000,he's been in it for 12 going on 13 years, and about the growing p in different times,i was a Pac fan since he was in DU,in the late 80s,so once again your point is invalid.
@iamwhoiam327 What if the Law made a deal with TuPac not to show his face again in the U.S. that all the charges that they ever got on him will be cleared? I'm just curious after all this years...
i love all your passion for 2pac.. but seriously, TI is way better than him, he just does not want to admit it because comparing him and 2pac is being disrespectful. invfact i also think Lil Wayne is way much better than 2pac.. the guy is dead, let him go!
I been listening to tip since bring em out dropped on 106 or whatever it was. still hard in the paint then any of these rappers. but I hear the way rappers subliminaly talk about em when he's featured.
i think ti made this whole interview himself because hes giving 300 different words for a simple one word answer, and then he stops the camera and go sits in the other seat and asks himself a question, stops the tape then goes back in the other seat then hired that other dude to sit there and not say anything
Fuck the media,i'm going by what the people who knows both best said,The Outlawz and Pac's own mother says the two are just alike, everyone who knows both Tip and Pac personally says that,Tip reminds them of Pac. For the record my favorite rapper overall is Tupac,i ididn't listen to nothing but Pac growing up,i just started listening to other rappers in 2000.
i was about to say the same thing, Tupac actually shot two policemen in that attack, he was shot at first (or at least the witnesses claim that) so nothing could have happened to Pac.. After all this I've lost all respect I had for T.I.
mmm, c how tip got filled with emotion when dat pac statement got thrown around...u see what dat means 2 him personally, how much he was influenced by and learned from pac..to come so far... and see how he understands just how big that really is and what it means... we at da point tho, for da record: we got pac and we got tip, and there will never be another of either, and da impact n influence from both live 2day and will 4ever, no matter what anybody do or say... good shit
I like TIP's humble attitude towards the Pac comparisons...although I DO see similarities with the tough guy/ socially caring image and content, that's not a prop to take lightly. Big shoes to fill. Good job.
@SantaBadd FINALLY somebody like u gets the highest rated comment ive been putting shit about legends like pac nas big kurtis blow junior mafia and so on on every vid
@joyman07 its hard times out here even for the famous and rich people they gotta make theyre money some how he just got outta jail he got pay for promotion for his album movie and all
@Flows234 hey man my words exactly i feel that what makes him set apart from rappers also the fact that he cared and wanted to see a better life for the downtrodden so your right.
i agree with t.i., nobody can be the person 2pac, he was more than an rapper or an actor, he was natural born leader for the people born with less, but i will say t.i. is definitely the closest person we have to 2pac today as far as his views on things, and his demeanor
In his reflection of the ghetto and his background, his intellect, his love and respect for the rap game, and his lyrical abilities. The way TIP delivers to his fans is genuine and unbelievable. His lyrics actually have meaning unlike worthless scums like Tyga, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, And Drake. TI, J. Cole, Kendrick, 3 Stacks, and rappers like such make the rap game what it is. Not mainstream Weezy. They're fake. All I know is TI justifies rap. He pays his dues to Pac. I think I just explained.

Depends on what people consider to be 'great' rap. Some people judge rap on how they flow, how they put their verses/rhymes together, thats why a lot of people think Biggie is better than Tupac. Some people judge rap on how they storytell, get a message across, etc. thats why alot of people think Tupac is better.
2:45 Impulsive reaction Scared T.I. when he heard 2pac like every artist in an intervieuw being confronted by any qustion relevant or irrelevant it may be. They still act like 2:45 moment.

AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 1:22 just look how T.I. expression's were m all the sudden he flashed a smile "thats a tough question" AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH i reapted that moment about 20 times couldnt stop laughin
@JokersAce0 Lyrically yes. I've heard people with more seasoned skill I could agree with that. I just feel that nobody came as real and fearless and with the passion that he brought. There are some great talents out there no doubt. I just hear a significant difference in substance, honesty, willingness to tell it like it was to anyone with no fear...and we all know if you beefed with him he would declare war lol. There's also the spirituality, political intelligence...
People love to say who was better than PAC so I ask do you mean by Flashy Lyrics or Honesty in Lyrics and I'm going to say this cuz alot of people don't know it bit Pac
i still respect u ti if u stop being a full time rapper.. u lived a great rap life and u deserve to evolve into something bigger and a great way to present urself with will smith is awesome you and will smith are down to earth and literally true to your word. one love!!
@felixxabc dmx is a entertainer. A drunken road raged entertainer. So is T.I., Kanye West, Jay Z, 50 cent, Lil Wayne, and about 98% of the rappers out there. They make music to entertain the public. 2pac was striving for social changes in the community. Not only was he striving for change, but he had the balls, the intelligence, and the voice to do so. That's what made Tupac stands out amongst every single rapper in the music biz.
OK let me end that comparison NOW...1st the question @ 1:13 would you steal money if you can save somebody life (Your son life) T.I answer "That's a tough question".....2pac answer "Dam right I would steal money to save a life" and take money if it's my son life....2nd Pac was a leader not a puppet...3rd Pac was articulate and hood...T.i is articulate and proper as hell in school he was preppy...4th Pac was homeless once..T.i have a big family who has took well care of him..Should I continue!!!
when he said "they compare u to tupac" ti jumped back lmao. like hol up😂
What people need to understand is that Pac is the greatest rapper, not the best rapper. He is not the best rapper technically because he didn't try to be. Perfect Explanation of his music and The GOAT Tupac.

no body is better than 2pac and that is real
T.I is the best truly southern rapper imo and a hell of a MC. He's in my top 10 but he ain't Pac.
But Tupac the best
+Bryson Scott Ik

Can't nobody be or will there ever be another tupac tupac was one of a kind just like mlk Malcolm x
T.I. compared to Pac?...... in what way? Please explain.
He got there thru God. Not Tupac.... When he says, "its like tupac never died" he is saying that b/c tupac lived for the Lord and not for Money or fame.
He know he got to humble himself when you talking about 2pac.

And yeah, T.I. knows it.....he could NEVER compare.
@Uhhuh737 none of those words fit the description of T.I. Give credit where credit is deserved, dont hate.
Why does the interviewer look like T.I.?
He doesn’t 😂😂😂
T.I.'s music doesn't suck, it simply is different. And one could understand his arrogance, but comparing yourself to 2pac? Pac's arrogance was 10 times bigger.
Not talking about rap style. He took his persona a little bit.
T.I was a man enough to be honest and said like it is, that he is not even trying to compare them, that takes a lot of heart
wat was tha name of tha song dat played for a secong at tha end
"And I'll respect any great man. Black or white I'm going to study him, Learn him, so he can be great to me no more. That's why I changed Machiavelli to Makaveli."
TI has always been a bright dude
I wonder where or how T.I. gets his intelectual vocabulary from. Cuz he can adress himself as a very educated person, and also have the gangsta southern hospitality right next to his name. I wonder if he reads a lot... or maybe he practices his speech with someone or something like that...

@matanuskatundra2
martin luther king jr. is a gangsta. just an example to show that the way you talk don't determine who you are. it's what you do
T.I. has been in the game since 2000,he's been in it for 12 going on 13 years, and about the growing p in different times,i was a Pac fan since he was in DU,in the late 80s,so once again your point is invalid.

T.I.P. is a humble dude
There really is only one Tupac.
you cant compare ANY rapper to pac..he in a class of his own
I been listening to tip since bring em out dropped on 106 or whatever it was. still hard in the paint then any of these rappers. but I hear the way rappers subliminaly talk about em when he's featured.
Is ti giving us a sign ABOUT tupac? Notice is facial expressions when he explained his "verse"
Im wondering too
He respects Tupacs legacy and he knows thats a tough comparison Tupac was one of a kind.........im assuming
i think ti made this whole interview himself because hes giving 300 different words for a simple one word answer, and then he stops the camera and go sits in the other seat and asks himself a question, stops the tape then goes back in the other seat then hired that other dude to sit there and not say anything

t.i is real... but not close to tupac.. pac's in a class on his on..
i was about to say the same thing, Tupac actually shot two policemen in that attack, he was shot at first (or at least the witnesses claim that) so nothing could have happened to Pac..
After all this I've lost all respect I had for T.I.
mmm, c how tip got filled with emotion when dat pac statement got thrown around...u see what dat means 2 him personally, how much he was influenced by and learned from pac..to come so far... and see how he understands just how big that really is and what it means... we at da point tho, for da record: we got pac and we got tip, and there will never be another of either, and da impact n influence from both live 2day and will 4ever, no matter what anybody do or say... good shit
i love T.I but comparing him to Pac is just a long Shot....
T.i is the next to tupac real talk
I like TIP's humble attitude towards the Pac comparisons...although I DO see similarities with the tough guy/ socially caring image and content, that's not a prop to take lightly. Big shoes to fill. Good job.
@SantaBadd FINALLY somebody like u gets the highest rated comment ive been putting shit about legends like pac nas big kurtis blow junior mafia and so on on every vid
@joyman07 its hard times out here even for the famous and rich people they gotta make theyre money some how he just got outta jail he got pay for promotion for his album movie and all

@Gitteee i agree 100% noone can compare to tupac was a legend b4 his time!!!!
Is that Jay Hernandez?
i agree with t.i., nobody can be the person 2pac, he was more than an rapper or an actor, he was natural born leader for the people born with less, but i will say t.i. is definitely the closest person we have to 2pac today as far as his views on things, and his demeanor
some people never learn *sigh*
In his reflection of the ghetto and his background, his intellect, his love and respect for the rap game, and his lyrical abilities. The way TIP delivers to his fans is genuine and unbelievable. His lyrics actually have meaning unlike worthless scums like Tyga, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, And Drake. TI, J. Cole, Kendrick, 3 Stacks, and rappers like such make the rap game what it is. Not mainstream Weezy. They're fake. All I know is TI justifies rap. He pays his dues to Pac. I think I just explained.
@panchon7777 DF?
@KageShadows
People said they were bad examples? This is NOT what were talking about and this is not what he said homie. We are talking about QUALITY, lyrics and real though into their music. Not that society said they were bad or this or that. Most the people saying that are just probably racist. You named people with skill and i don't see anyone fucking touching that list in themainstream right now or even close.

@ferretace Money,Lawyers,Speaking to youth,Community Service,A celebrity that can reach out to kids in a different way then most.FYI who the heck does he have to snitch on.
TI's one of the smartest, most well spoken people I've ever seen. This nigga can't stay out of trouble to save his life though.
what's 11 months?
T.I is the best now but ever he is the second best ever tupac is first but t.i is like pac

2:45 Impulsive reaction Scared T.I. when he heard 2pac like every artist in an intervieuw being confronted by any qustion relevant or irrelevant it may be. They still act like 2:45 moment.
Is there a reason for him to be stuttering like that?
@Benesma7 How about I like Pac because I actually listen to his music, something you have yet to do since you have the most uninformed opinion in this comment section. Please get more evidence before you present something, its more believable that way
He says you can't take it TOO serious :|
He doubts because he doesn't want to say that he completely doesn't compare himzelf with tupac. I think TI CAN'T compare himself to tupac, cause pac was different and had political messages. He could say that he's taking pac as an example, but not compare himself to pac, he doesn't deserve it

There's also the spirituality, political intelligence...
no he wouldnt ...not after that 222 tips commercial
People love to say who was better than PAC so I ask do you mean by Flashy Lyrics or Honesty in Lyrics and I'm going to say this cuz alot of people don't know it bit Pac
i still respect u ti if u stop being a full time rapper.. u lived a great rap life and u deserve to evolve into something bigger and a great way to present urself with will smith is awesome you and will smith are down to earth and literally true to your word. one love!!

Much respect to TI for showing respect to Pac. TI knows a true legend, unlike Lil Wayne who claims he's the "greatest rapper ever"

how the fuck did i get here from 2pac

OK let me end that comparison NOW...1st the question @ 1:13 would you steal money if you can save somebody life (Your son life) T.I answer "That's a tough question".....2pac answer "Dam right I would steal money to save a life" and take money if it's my son life....2nd Pac was a leader not a puppet...3rd Pac was articulate and hood...T.i is articulate and proper as hell in school he was preppy...4th Pac was homeless once..T.i have a big family who has took well care of him..Should I continue!!!
There is only one Tupac, NOBODY else, comes close.
no rapper should compare themselves to 2pac that like a ufc fighter comparing himself to bruce lee
Is it just me or when the dude compared him tupac t.i.s face quinched up a lil.
@KageShadows
All right, well I feel what you're saying, it's all good. I do understand.
@joyman07 I love t.i.'s music, but I have to admit that you're right about that!!!
