I grew up in the Midwest with all Westcoast & Midwest hip hop as a child & preteen , I didn't listen to any NY or east coast rap back then but I always would see NaS first 4 album covers in stores on the racks & its exactly what got me to actually want to start listening to his music back in 01' & I instantly bought his 5th album "Stillmatic" the week it was first released in stores & I instantly loved that album & loved it's album cover just as much even though it was different than the 4 album covers before it💯 I swear that album was the best 14$ I ever spent in my entire life but i never new I was blindly buying a actual certified masterpiece at that point in time cuz it was just released & plus I was only about 14 years old at that time but just like NaS said he is , I also always been obsessed with album covers & it's also what would end up making me talk myself into blindly buying a new album CD even if I never heard any songs from it yet💯
2pac is the ONLY rap artist that stands a chance to still be remembered in 100 years... that takes IMPACT, and Pac had more impact during his short life than any other rap artist in history, including Nas...
Nas is the most underrated and forgotten best hip hop artist of all time. I grew up on him and mobb deep. It was written is one of the best if not the best album of all time. He paved the way for all alot of ppl who are still recognized in the game. It's a shame hes not in a better spotlight seeing how hes done so much for the hip hop business.
Serch's" Back 2 the grill again " or Main Source's "Live at the BBQ ". 16 Year old boy who just flipped lyricysm and flo to a new dimension and he changed rap forever.
This interviewer was excellent. These radio interviews are usually so formulaic and inauthentic in their questions due to time constraints, but the dude really made the most with his time and is a true fan and the conversation flowed. Props
He’s a fucking legend. He’s been doing his job for ever. Y’all just don’t get it. He’s even in GTA. Y’all don’t know shit. He’s one of the best interviewers around.
NAS a real one It takes a real dude to understand the brother feeling or his mind state at that time just to wonder it's a good thing -NAS To be humble to be positive all for that.
I agree what Nas is saying. I saw Behind The Music documentary with him and he talk to 2Pac about dissed him back and forth. Nas did talk to Pac at the 1996 MTV VMAs before he died. Pac said "I'm sorry I dissed on my records and I will deleted it". Nas said, "How you gonna do that"? And 2Pac said "Come meet me in Vegas". Afterwards, meeting with 2Pac in Las Vegas was never happen. So after Pac/Biggie died, Nas was the hip hop hero who changed people's lives forever.
***** To be honest, Nas is my favorite artist in my times along with Cube, Scarface, Big L, AZ. He changed my live and become my inspirational hero ever since. I can see what's your opinion about it but I got to keep him on my 'MC's of All Time' list. Illmatic is still the greatest album of all time in hip hop. Period! I believe that Nas didn't lost his edge so far. He does have something to rap about. No complaints. Otherwise, Nas is the greatest!!
Be serious , Nas is just flesh and can change no man but Approach Christ Jesus for himself if he is that smart. You must keep yourself from Not being. Un comfortable after Time here. Christ talks about the pit and it's scary , and I want blacks to escape that. They have been thru too much here with that Slave rooted world. They need Comfort. I saw all these White people sleeping on City busses when I stepped On, meaning they will feel A hard time and have no where to go , all will. Suffer who Jesus leaves here. Iran ain't scared they have Weapons , I saw it in a dream And no one will rap ever again. They won't want too.. China will take the stage, And Russia will ride with them. Where they fail is when they try to beat Israel out, it can't be Done! That is God's throne room. Whites would not leave The movies and I asked this person who was hard to see why they wood not go home, and they said they have no places, the school lunch Halls were full of lost people. Christ will not turn anyone away who calls him for help.
The thing is that tupac was wayyyy ahead of his time, in a 4/5 year period he just made everything that put him as GOAT status, nas is a straight G full of credits by all him have done, but pac was just unique, voice, lyrics and even the production around him was better (mopreme is god, but johnny j and Daz and dr dre were like the owners of the game) i will respect nas till the day i die, also will respect pac even after my death LOVE YA NAS LOVE YA PAC❤️

Nas a true MC. Real MCs listen to music different. His head was bobbing to the beat the entire time. You can even see him mouthing to himself in the beginning. His head spinning on rhymes.
I dunno why some people find it so hard to believe that Nas squashed it with Pac. Like why not? It's not like 2pac and Nas had a REAL STREET beef or anything to that degree. Of course, he's willing to let it go. The beef was only stirred up through word of mouth, rumors, and hearsay. Nas "hardly" goes after rappers first. A line like "fake thug, no love, you get the slugs" from Nas's The Message doesn't even sound like he was talking about 2pac. Why, because the word, thug?? Remember, 2pac did popularize the use of the term, thug, back in the days so artists were bound to use it in their lyrics. It was all just a confusion. Remember too, 2pac had a lot of beef at the time, so paranoia was the cause. Also, he was maturing more in his last days, beginning to break away from grimy ass Death Row and what not.
nas lied and there is plenty of proof to say. so you're research on both side of stories and outsiders looking in and know nas is a liar and very good at pretending. to say nas is better than 2Pac. makes me think rap been dead since Pac left to Cuba. r.I.p. hip hop 1996 is the year
+Kazerous_World lol okay bro. This is my opinion, you have yours. Don't assume I've got my info "ALL" from outsiders. And in fact, if I agree with you, aren't you an outsider as well?? Who knows Nas personally in the comment section to call him a liar? 2pac is a legend no doubt but damn nigga, he's not rap music. He's just a man. Chill out. And I never said Nas was better than Pac or vice versa so I have no idea why you brought that up. But even if I did, why in the hell do you need my opinion to validate and confirm who you think is the best? Sounds like you're Pac dickriding toooo damn much on some Stan shit.

Apart from being among the greatest rappers to ever live it's not hard to tell the man smart and street wise his life history and longevity in the game fully explains it.
The first minute and a half of this video is everything I have ever wanted in my life wanted to tell Nas. Man so much love to the radio host he told nas what I always wish he could hear from a fan in that first minute and a half.
Nas's version of this story is close to Hussein Fatal's version except for one thing. Fatal said Nas only had 3 homeboys with him and Pac was like 50 deep with guns and stuff. Nas is saying they were both deep. Somebody is lying lol...

Why is Snoop Dogg’s version completely different from Nas’s version? 🤔 I watched “Snoop Dogg: Tupac confronts NAS in New York” on RUclips then I watched this one
+pimpmastaa101 pac never had beef with nas. in fact, when he was working on "all eyes on me" , the outsidas approach pac on working with nas. they were huge fans. and that is correct in some way. pac loved it was written. i can't say he was listening to it the day he was in vegas but it has been documented that he loved that album. this is why i never liked pac during that whole era when he was with death row. that wasn't him. in fact, that night he was in vegas, he was supposed to do a song with nas. yes, after the night, him and nas were gonna be in the studio working on a record together
Nas could’ve had Tupac killed anytime he was on the East Coast in the early 90’s. He easily had a hundred loyal gunnas around him at all times. He didn’t need to make beef, where there wasn’t any. And that’s something the West Coast didn’t understand till a couple years later. Nas is a living legend from an era of rap that all of us, all ages, can appreciate. Respect

Nas is one of the most underrated lyricists. He's a very intelligent and respectable dude.
Bro he's almost universally considered one of the best rappers ever
@@schematicb5393 no he isn't.

I grew up in the Midwest with all Westcoast & Midwest hip hop as a child & preteen , I didn't listen to any NY or east coast rap back then but I always would see NaS first 4 album covers in stores on the racks & its exactly what got me to actually want to start listening to his music back in 01' & I instantly bought his 5th album "Stillmatic" the week it was first released in stores & I instantly loved that album & loved it's album cover just as much even though it was different than the 4 album covers before it💯 I swear that album was the best 14$ I ever spent in my entire life but i never new I was blindly buying a actual certified masterpiece at that point in time cuz it was just released & plus I was only about 14 years old at that time but just like NaS said he is , I also always been obsessed with album covers & it's also what would end up making me talk myself into blindly buying a new album CD even if I never heard any songs from it yet💯
nas first 3 albums were amazing.
nas, please release an autobiography, bro
he did its called time is illmatic but its more a documentary of the album
yeah, i know, but i mean a book, nahm'saying?
yea i would buy it if he made a book
True Og and pioneer in the game. Shouts out in to Nas.
enricco gabriel Nas has a documentary on illmatic
2pac is the ONLY rap artist that stands a chance to still be remembered in 100 years... that takes IMPACT, and Pac had more impact during his short life than any other rap artist in history, including Nas...
Facts, but Eminem and Nas have a shot too, alongside Jay Z.
Pac will always be face of hip hop and much more but mad lyrical ability is undeniable
He's not underrated. People consistently put him in their top 5-10 all time greatest rappers. And Illmatic is ALWAYS ranked as a all time great album.

This interviewer was excellent. These radio interviews are usually so formulaic and inauthentic in their questions due to time constraints, but the dude really made the most with his time and is a true fan and the conversation flowed. Props
This interviewer is the worst..... Let Nas speak.... Stop asking a question and answering it for him.....

Finally, someone feels the way I felt about the Nas Lost Tapes, that album is incredible
Nas looks the same in 1999, 2006 and 2019.
Makaveli SD Brother, Nas was way more intellectual in his own prime. So, Nas is still the greatest.
Be serious , Nas is just flesh and can change no man but
Approach Christ Jesus for himself if he is that smart.
You must keep yourself from
Not being. Un comfortable after
Time here.
Christ talks about the pit and it's scary , and I want blacks to escape that. They have been thru too much here with that
Slave rooted world. They need
Comfort. I saw all these
White people sleeping on
City busses when I stepped
On, meaning they will feel
A hard time and have no where to go , all will. Suffer who Jesus leaves here.
Iran ain't scared they have
Weapons , I saw it in a dream
And no one will rap ever again.
They won't want too..
China will take the stage,
And Russia will ride with them.
Where they fail is when they try to beat Israel out, it can't be
Done! That is God's throne room. Whites would not leave
The movies and I asked this person who was hard to see why they wood not go home, and they said they have no places, the school lunch
Halls were full of lost people.
Christ will not turn anyone away who calls him for help.
The thing is that tupac was wayyyy ahead of his time, in a 4/5 year period he just made everything that put him as GOAT status, nas is a straight G full of credits by all him have done, but pac was just unique, voice, lyrics and even the production around him was better (mopreme is god, but johnny j and Daz and dr dre were like the owners of the game) i will respect nas till the day i die, also will respect pac even after my death

"It was Written" is my favorite Nas album. I love it, too.
pac on the mic was like jordan on the court, giving out home work.
snoopdog talked about this in an interview. he was mobbin with PAC when they saw nas rolling deep with straight killers. when PAC walked up to nas all of em where ready to go reaching for there guns but nas winked at em and shook hands with PAC. respect to nas
They both were deep. Pac had 50 jersey killers with him plus Mob Pirus from death row ,and they were all strapped. Snoop is an idiot.
Snoop wasn't even there. People have called his lying ass out for that.

Nas is incredible, the dude who is interviewing him is actually so talkitive like a fan
Yes he's mad annoying
2pac had a lot of respect for Nas. I mean if you listen to Nas's song, "I Gave You Power"(on Nas's 2nd album from '96), and then you listen to 2pac's song, "Me and My Girlfriend(on Makaveli album from '96) you can see some similarities.
Nigga deleted his second reply lol
+Curty Langston yeah because no point. when you get sad about opinion being shattered. it comes with the territory of discussion. but you know
+Tyler Krym different story. listen to the first story and then follow up on the beefs of pacs and how this happened and to the point how and what came about on that day. you'll know who b.s. and who was paid to bs
Apart from being among the greatest rappers to ever live it's not hard to tell the man smart and street wise his life history and longevity in the game fully explains it.
The lost tapes is a great album. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

The lost tapes was originally a mix tape that came out right before Nastradamus.
Props for bringing up the Lost Tapes, GREAT ALBUM!!!!
And NAS, please get on that book playboy, we only have so long on this planet
Nas's version of this story is close to Hussein Fatal's version except for one thing. Fatal said Nas only had 3 homeboys with him and Pac was like 50 deep with guns and stuff. Nas is saying they were both deep. Somebody is lying lol...

That was posthumous so it ain't really a joint
I like this young king he really pay attention to his father his father was deep and had a lot of knowlege and wisdom that he pass on too his son.Sometimes we may think our elders dont know what they are talking about but history repeats itself the game is just played different.

Respect
