Your channel has absolutely changed my life. I have decluttered so much and I have noticed such a difference in my mental health. You've actually gave me the confidence to start my RUclips channel that I've been wanting to do forever. Thank you 🥹🫶🏻

Ever since I got married I've been saying the bedroom is NOT the place for a TV. I agree 1000%! Thanks for all the other tips😊

Margaret I am 67 years old and have been watching your channel for a month now and have learned sooooo much from you! I wish I had embraced this way of life years ago but it’s definitely part of my whole being now. I have tried the tallow and it is by far the most effective product I have ever tried. Living a simple clean life is truly the best. I could go on forever…but the bottom line is I am a much happier and nicer person because I changed my way of living. You are a wonderful mother and wife and look forward to your next video! ❤

Put your art piece over the TV plugs so you can look at something beautiful instead of ugly plugs. Love your channel. You inspire me. 🙂

I love how you give the reasons and benefits for what you choose to own and what to declutter. I am 66 and have just discovered these things in the last five years or so. God is giving you great wisdom! Thank you for your videos.

As I was watching, I walked over to the tv stand, took everything out of a basket that I've never liked, put the few items in places that make sense, and popped the tatty old basket in the bin. Now I'm finishing the video, with a cup of tea, looking over at the tv stand with a calm and cozy feeling. Thanks again!

I'm missing one despite watching twice! (Or was there only 9 even though the last one you said is 10. 😅)
    1. Get rid of bedside table junk
-I use a short stool and have a plant and my kindle and a couple of other books. I need something to set my glasses on at night or I'd get rid of this altogether. My husband has a bedside table and it's always cluttered.
    2. Reduce the amount of furniture.
    - we have our bed, 1 side table, 1 side stool, 2 dressers, and a desk with chair. We have an old house (she's in her 90's) and the closets are like a shoebox so not even close to walk-in, which means we have to have the dressers. If I could get the desk and chair out I would buy there's no where else I can put it. I need it in there for my afternoon quiet time when I may need to work there and my children are in the other spaces of our house. And it would make other spaces too stressful, so I have to live with it here.
    3. Don't keep shoes in the bedroom.
    - We do have ours in our room. I like to wear shoes all the time, including inside (I'm sorry!) so I keep some of mine by my side of the bed. My husband keeps most of his shoes on a shoe rack in the closet.
    4. Don't keep phones and charges in the bedroom.
    - We charge our phones in the kitchen but do use our phones for our alarm but always put them on airplane mode while sleeping.
    5. Harmful lighting.
    - we have a salt lamp for night time. I don't have any idea what lightbulb is in our overhead light. And we do have a red light in our room too, but we don't use it nearly as much as we should.
    6. Declutter surfaces.
    - I have to do this on the regular. Every time I clear off my dresser, my husband uses it bc the top of his is cluttered. And my desk is small so it's always got things on it.
    7. No under bed storage.
    - yes one I can say I also don't keeo anything under our bed! 🙌🏻
    8. Wall space. No TV!
    - yes! Us either. Never have. I also said from the beginning of our marriage that we won't ever have TV's in bedrooms. 👍🏻 I only have a photo of us on our honeymoon and a painting my in-laws gave us for our wedding. Nothing else on the walls.
    10. Visual Clutter
    - there's too much in our room but bc of our house I have to work at my desk in there sometimes and we keep a small folding table and folding chair in the corner bc there's lots of times my husband needs to study/work in there.
Overall I would like a bedroom space like yours, but isn't an option in this house. Prayerfully in the future!

Absolutely!!!! I've been with my husband for 10 years, I'm 29 years old, and we have NEVER had a tv in the bedroom! We have 1 TV in the living room, the only one in the house and 3 kids and we either all watch TV together or we are outside playing.

Margaret, why not put that beautiful picture over the outlets where the tv would go. Centre it so that is your focal point as you’re both sitting in bed. Covers the ugly, in your face plates and brings a more calming eye line view. Win-win…. Blessings to you and your family 🙏🏼

This is my FAVORITE type of video from you! Thank you so much! I have been recently working to make our room a haven and sanctuary of rest, and this helped me take it to the next level 🎉
as for the picture and where I think it should go in your room. I think it should go to the side of your chair (I believe the left) that has the TV plugs and cover those little outlets and plates( if that works. ) those can add to clutter. ❤❤❤

Yessss yes we have no TVs in our main living areas or bedroom! Only in our basement family room, which we only use maybe a dozen times a year. We watch things on devices more often than that, but it’s not constantly in front of us as an option. Life is too short ❤️

I agree and believe in about 90% of what you said. But my situation is a little bit different to yours. The only place in the house that I life in that's totally mine is my bedroom. So any furinture or decorations can really only be in my bedroom. Likewise for storage. All in my bedroom. But most of these tips I'm planning on doing for sure.

I wish you a light and happy pregnancy (the rest of it is always the hardest to wait, isn't it?) and a healthy and easy delivery) And just a quick note about what I saw - do you have two alarm clocks? and different lamps at your bedside tables, right? it looks unusual (you know, this idea that everything should be a pair etc etc) but so organic and nice) Good luck and waiting for your next videos!
