44th anniversary of the Mount St. Helens eruption | KGW Vault

Boyd Levet was reporting for KGW on the day of the Mount St. Helens eruption in 1980, 44 years ago. He recalls being on the mountain as "the bulge" grew prior to the May 18 blast, then heading out to cover the eruption when he learned it was happening.
