I would also consider this to be my Mario Party. My best friend when I was a kid had this game and we would often stay at his place while my mother was at work. This was one of the games we would play most often and we had a great time with it. Eventually I got my own copy and would play it at home all the time with my siblings and cousins. Even as the years passed and we got to try out all the other Mario Party games, this one was still our favorite and go-to for a party! The two we probably played the most other than this one would have been 7 and 5 because they were the only other two we owned (the rest were borrowed or rented). I still remember trying to unlock the battle mini-games even up to my high school years and I STILL don't have them to this day! (I think I have a save on the final world, but it is tough!) I'm happy to say that I'm still in touch with that childhood friend and we have played Mario Party 2 together even after all these years, and when I have friends/family visiting we normally play this one! This game just did so much right and improved upon the original in every possible way, which is why it still holds up so well. The boards were all so well-executed (I even have a soft spot for Mystery Land, our least played board) and the costumes were such a great addition. Then there's also the enjoyable soundtrack that compliments the game and mini-games so well! So, yeah...still love this game to this day!
Bowser Land do be like that sometimes. -.- Great video! I totally agree with you on the costumes, those were amazing, but they're nowhere to be found now, and that's really sad.
I once got to steal a Star from everyone for 150 coins. I then landed on that chance time space right after big boo and ended up giving all my ill gotten stars to luigi...
Most people have "their mario party" simply because, who the hell actually played all 10+ of them, either by themselves or had people to play with them through all them? I'm certain that person exists, though that person is most definitely the rare exception.
Loving this series, just watched the previous ones again
