"Why does everyone call this "Discount Nega-Wisp Armor?" " Simply because it's a copy of the Nega-Wisp from Colors. Same way to defeat the robot and same way to dodge the attacks. It's basically a carbon copy with a few tweaks.
you know you're playing the "most optimal" vesions of the classic series bosses right? Having a spindash in Sonic 1 basically cheeses the Sonic 1 final boss fight, like you know this wasn't a thing in Sonic 1 right? Same goes for the momentum that is different in the Genesis version compared to Sonic Origins, alongside potential minimal slowdowns in some fights that would have been noticable on real hardware.
One thing I loved about the original Egg Dragoon fight is how INSANE Eggman is now. He's literally at his breaking point of Sonic constantly foiling his plans and wants him DEAD this time! Eggman: Stupid hedgehog! Just give up and DIE already! Sonic: Jeez Eggman! Simmer down!
I also love remembering the sky in the background dusking at the start of battling against Big Arms and after Big Arms has been defeated the sky in the background dawns.
isnt that a bit cheap for YT content like one of those tier list videos that pop up but basically shouldnt mean anything becomes we have our own opinions on alot of matter?
For those who hate sponsors and want to skip the one in this video, 5:17 is where the sponsor ends. And yes I know there are video chapters, but 1, 5:16 is the last second of the sponsor, and 2, some people don’t seem to check video chapters for some reason.
Big Arm and Death Egg Robot are absolutely true classics. Much love for the Egg Viper in SA1 and Egg Dragoon in Generations and Unleashed. Egg Emperor in Heroes had he been able to use it, he’d been locked up, is one more phenomenal design.
Whle Bowser has done a lot of bad stuff, Eggman *literally holds innocent animals against their will to create deadly robots.* Sure, in some Sonic media Eggman is about as evil as Bowser, but in other Sonic Media he literally wants to destroy the entire world.
Eggman's record is 146 losses to 1 win in Sonic Forces (and even then he literally just watched Sonic get beaten by Infinite) Bowser's is only 51 losses to 0 wins
@@Dr_Panda. Bowser also won in Mario Odyssey and also has literally managed to kidnap Mario twice in both Mario is missing and in Super Princess Peach so that’d actually give Bowser 3 wins and Eggman 2 wins
I'm sure somebody has brought this up, but on the Egg Frog fight you can jump on the ceiling (just like the Egg Frog). There's no need for a carefully timed jump, it was awesome on my first run in the game when I did it the first time!
19:09 Correction, in Sonic’s version, you’re supposed to run up it’s arms and then bounce attack on top of the Genesis’ head. The method shown is an exploit because of them not removing Silver’s hitbox.
I still say Dragoon is probably the best "final boss" mech Eggman's ever built. It's got a great design that's pretty intimidating, tons of unique weapons, somewhat modular with its attack modes... But yeah, the Nega-Wisp Armor is cool for using the same Wisp powers Sonic had. What if he managed to combine the two?
Giant Eggman Robo is the Eggman Boss that has the Robo Fingers in phase 1 and the Master Emerald Powered Laser Cannon & Nose Fire Breath in phase 2 and then phase 3 has the Egg Mobile with the Master Emerald grabbed.
I don’t know why but my favorite is the original death egg robot. There’s something that’s just really rewarding about beating the game for the first time.
16:23 also not true, this boss was originally reimplemented in the iOS version of Sonic 2 before being made availible for other systems, alongside Hidden palace Zone itself.
Why does SA2’s second iteration get added into the first entry when remake fights get separate entries? The second iteration adds the laser beam and missiles making it slightly harder
I’m glad many of us are sharing the same thoughts because…there’s tons of complaints about some of these bosses. Many of them are because of either nostalgia or because they are “lackluster.”
You forgot about the Egg Devil Ray, Bandy! I'm also surprised that you didn't include the Metal Sonic race in Sonic CD because Eggman plays a part in that as well.
i'm pretty sure the egg-hvc-001 was made as a jab at nintendo, since the original famicom's model number was hvc-001 it was essentially just there to call nintendo weak
Ok, I will say the Wii/PS2 Egg Dragoon lacks the QTEs and also it's phases are a neat refrence to attacks from the prior nighttime bosses you fight (Dark Gaia Phoenix's firey feathers, Dark Moray's ice blasts and Dark Guardian's electric hammer) and I honestly like it that way Also I will add two more notes: 1 - The Egg Lancer does something similar to the PS2/Wii Egg Dragoon, where it uses multiple boss refrences, as it's a mashup of the Egg Beetle and Egg Devil Ray with some new elements which I love, it feels like a scrapped together mech from two mechs that were simplish but effective 2 - You forgot the Egg Devil Ray. It's honestly interesting but Egg Lancer does it's job better in every way. So I'd put Egg Beetle and Egg Devil Ray in the equal same spot and then have Egg Lancer where it is above them
@@UDPlaythroughs1990 ah, so it's different between the two versions. I'm a PS2 player, so that's why I mixed them up. But honestly the PS2 version is fairly good with making bosses not have a ton of QTE's. Although I will say that the Dark Guardian SUCKS in PS2, it's the one boss I can't get behind at all purely as you can beat it in 19 seconds
I actually enjoyed the Lava Reef Zone boss in Sonic 3 because I like that you have to hit the thing 15 times (meaning hitting the machine 5 times a piece) and its all about difficulty and creativity.
You do not get how much happiness it gave me to see it top the list. I love the fight way more than the Wii version bc it just hits different, with the atmosphere and the usage of ALL the wisp powers. You aint running from this boss. You're falling WITH the boss
Kinda funny to me how eggman went from: "hehe, beeg wrecking ball go brr,and gambling addiction" To:"Shadow of collosus, Literal time eaters, and *giantic* robots"
Nathaniel Bandy: If it's just a robot that Eggman made but isn't using, it doesn't count for the list. Also Nathaniel Bandy: Includes Egg Cerberus, Egg Genesis, and Egg Lancer on the list, and among the higher-ranked bosses. Geez, as if the actual choices aren't insane enough, you can't even stick to your own criteria.
I’m pretty sure you could just push up to shift the gravity in the Egg Frog fight so you can avoid his nukes. Granted it’s not advertised very well. Perhaps Egg Frog is the Carnival Night Barrel of the Advance series.
I can't believe my favorite Sonic game (at least out of the ones I've been lucky enough to play) made 1st place! You're darn right, Nega Wisp Armor for the DS version of colors IS awesome! Maybe you could do a ranking of Super Sonic battles as well, (Like Nega Mother Wisp, the Frontiers bosses, Dark Queen, etc.) I definitely would like to see a sequel come through.
@@Turbos-b3zwell there are other sonic games I can think of where you do not fight eggman like both sonic drift 1 and drift 2, tails sky patrol, tails adventure, sonic shuffle, pinball party because it’s just a pinball game, sonic riders, secret rings, riders zero gravity, chronicles the dark brotherhood, sonic and the black knight, sonic free riders, sonic boom shattered crystal, fire and ice, team sonic racing, sonic frontiers, and shadow generations.
God he complains a lot. I’m glad many of us here notice this. Like, why complain that the Egg Station battle is too easy, yet give it tons of praise, but diss the Genesis version for having 0 rings? Ohh, cause of nostalgia
The best way to attack the death egg robot (Or robot death egg in Spanish) in sonic forces is by using the homing attack on its core and to get its S rank score 1.8 million points. (Number 5 - 41:32)
I'm so salty it's Egg Dragoon was left off. It's both refrencing other bosses AND allergic to quicktime events The Egg Devil Ray is also an Eggman boss in that version too. I actually adore the Egg Lancer and Egg Dragoon refrencing the prior day and night bosses in their attack patterns (Day for Lancer, Night for Dragoon)
While this is a very impressive video, and well put together, I am sad to say that you appear to have missed the Egg Devil Ray from Unleashed, along with the different variants of the Unleased bosses from the Wii version, since they actually play differently to the 360 versions. It is a huge list, and I can tell a lot of hard work was put into it. It is very interesting to see every Eggman boss and how different they can be. Can't blame you if you missed a couple here and there due to the sheer size of it.
Tbf he said that he would only include eggman fights and eggman himself does not pilot the egg devil ray. Although he did weirdly include egg lancer which kinda contradicts his own rules
Quick tip for the Sonic Mania Death Egg Robot : When it spawns in, just do what you do with the first boss in Sonic CD, exept on the left. No damage-boosting required.

16:03 It's called "Egg Ball 2" because the first one was in Casino Paradise Zone from Sonic Advance.
16:17-16:32 I think this one is called Trumpet Eggman but Brass Eggman works too.
17:27-17:32 The final boss has entered the chat
19:58-20:27 Flying Eggman

39:47-39:57 Why does everyone call this "Discount Nega-Wisp Armor?"
"Why does everyone call this "Discount Nega-Wisp Armor?" "
Simply because it's a copy of the Nega-Wisp from Colors. Same way to defeat the robot and same way to dodge the attacks. It's basically a carbon copy with a few tweaks.
@@brovideogaming9447 Imagining the two side by side, not seeing it
have you played sonic origins boss rush mode?
There is actually a different final boss for the game gear sonic 1 where the one laser is replaced by electric platforms.
42:11 Bro is playing with fire 💀
33:12 that classic line from Eggman
you know you're playing the "most optimal" vesions of the classic series bosses right? Having a spindash in Sonic 1 basically cheeses the Sonic 1 final boss fight, like you know this wasn't a thing in Sonic 1 right? Same goes for the momentum that is different in the Genesis version compared to Sonic Origins, alongside potential minimal slowdowns in some fights that would have been noticable on real hardware.
1 yr later and he still never fails to entertain me
One thing I loved about the original Egg Dragoon fight is how INSANE Eggman is now. He's literally at his breaking point of Sonic constantly foiling his plans and wants him DEAD this time!
Eggman: Stupid hedgehog! Just give up and DIE already!
Sonic: Jeez Eggman! Simmer down!
I also love remembering the sky in the background dusking at the start of battling against Big Arms and after Big Arms has been defeated the sky in the background dawns.
the moment the egg scrambler came up so early in the list, I knew this was going to be a baffling list

I just love that Nathaniel rates everything in games
Kinda sets us up for a video where Nathaniel rates his rating videos, huh?
isnt that a bit cheap for YT content like one of those tier list videos that pop up but basically shouldnt mean anything becomes we have our own opinions on alot of matter?
I think he deserves to make some easier videos after those 7 day marathon ones
You should rank all the non eggman bosses. They definitely tend to be better.
At least he used it in the comics
17:57 "You know what they say the more the merrier" 😊
Who would you say has a worse track record?
Bowser or eggman?
Eggman, Bowser's first handheld console appearance at least seemed like it tried
Whle Bowser has done a lot of bad stuff, Eggman *literally holds innocent animals against their will to create deadly robots.* Sure, in some Sonic media Eggman is about as evil as Bowser, but in other Sonic Media he literally wants to destroy the entire world.
Eggman's record is 146 losses to 1 win in Sonic Forces (and even then he literally just watched Sonic get beaten by Infinite)
Bowser's is only 51 losses to 0 wins
@@SylviaGromethought he also won the first time against sonic in unleashed in the cutscene
Thank you for doing this list. Who knew that there were so many Eggman bosses in the Sonic franchise. Keep up the great work on your videos.
19:09
Correction, in Sonic’s version, you’re supposed to run up it’s arms and then bounce attack on top of the Genesis’ head. The method shown is an exploit because of them not removing Silver’s hitbox.
1:06 - "You see those glowy buttons? They control a *rowlet* wheel"
I like that eggman's voice is just making me laugh so much that in cutscene, I just laugh so much when his plans sucked 😂
Props to the Sun Wukong reference in Yellow Desert Zone.
That's the only thing I like about that game.
Giant Eggman Robo is the Eggman Boss that has the Robo Fingers in phase 1 and the Master Emerald Powered Laser Cannon & Nose Fire Breath in phase 2 and then phase 3 has the Egg Mobile with the Master Emerald grabbed.
Would the next one be Extra bosses? (doesn't include eggman, but includes metal sonic, egg robots, etc.)
I was waiting for this Ranking for long time, Thank you Nathaniel! Keep doing a great job but never overwork yourself!
10:56 In the original Sonic 1 there was no spindash, that was only introduced in origins.

It shocked me too.

25:14 By pressing up during the boss fight, you can change Sonics gravity to avoid the bomb attack.
1:31 when I was kid I didn’t know you could do that but later in the mid or late 2010s or early 2020s I finally figured out that you can do that.
I’m glad many of us are sharing the same thoughts because…there’s tons of complaints about some of these bosses.
Many of them are because of either nostalgia or because they are “lackluster.”
We need to applaud for this video guys. He gad to replay sonic 06 and sonic forces AND sonic 3d blast. I'm thankful he's still alive 🙏🙏
I don't see how is that an achievement... But he is cool.

You forgot about the Egg Devil Ray, Bandy! I'm also surprised that you didn't include the Metal Sonic race in Sonic CD because Eggman plays a part in that as well.
This list absolutely baffles me. Time Eater (Xbox 360) at 6?? What
I love Eggman as the Monkey King Son Wukong, complete with flying cloud and extending staff. Nice reference, Sega @8:50

i'm pretty sure the egg-hvc-001 was made as a jab at nintendo, since the original famicom's model number was hvc-001
it was essentially just there to call nintendo weak
I HAVE BIAS FOR SONIC MANIA AND GOT SO FREAKING MAD WHEN PHANTOM EGG ONLY GOT SEVEN YOU EVEN PUT IT BELOW FREAKING TIME EATER
I also adore the Dive Eggman Reverse Boss fight very much, it makes me wish more Sonic Video games had more reverse boss fights like that too.
Ok, I will say the Wii/PS2 Egg Dragoon lacks the QTEs and also it's phases are a neat refrence to attacks from the prior nighttime bosses you fight (Dark Gaia Phoenix's firey feathers, Dark Moray's ice blasts and Dark Guardian's electric hammer) and I honestly like it that way
Also I will add two more notes:
1 - The Egg Lancer does something similar to the PS2/Wii Egg Dragoon, where it uses multiple boss refrences, as it's a mashup of the Egg Beetle and Egg Devil Ray with some new elements which I love, it feels like a scrapped together mech from two mechs that were simplish but effective
2 - You forgot the Egg Devil Ray. It's honestly interesting but Egg Lancer does it's job better in every way. So I'd put Egg Beetle and Egg Devil Ray in the equal same spot and then have Egg Lancer where it is above them
They were piloted by robot hands not Eggman in the HD version but it was piloted by Eggman in the PS2 version.
@@kirbstagoontheaxolotl so you like some box pushing nonsense from the HD version?

I also find the Egg Bubble looks like an underwater version of the Egg Bouncer.

You do not get how much happiness it gave me to see it top the list. I love the fight way more than the Wii version bc it just hits different, with the atmosphere and the usage of ALL the wisp powers. You aint running from this boss. You're falling WITH the boss
Respect for putting Time Eater on 3DS at Number 3. It took me several years to beat it when I was younger, and it is a spectacle.

To:"Shadow of collosus, Literal time eaters, and *giantic* robots"

When you called the Giant Egg Robo's fingers sausages, I immediately thought "Don't you point those dirty green sausages at me!" from Shrek 2.
Now we need a ranked video of the Eggman fights from the spin-off games.
The palmtree panic fight and the final fever fight are the first ones that came to mind LUL
I can't even think of a sonic game where you don't fight Eggman
Sonic R
@@Turbos-b3zwell there are other sonic games I can think of where you do not fight eggman like both sonic drift 1 and drift 2, tails sky patrol, tails adventure, sonic shuffle, pinball party because it’s just a pinball game, sonic riders, secret rings, riders zero gravity, chronicles the dark brotherhood, sonic and the black knight, sonic free riders, sonic boom shattered crystal, fire and ice, team sonic racing, sonic frontiers, and shadow generations.
14:40 I guess waluigi’s pinball is a exception
How many Eggman boss fights are there in Sonic games these days?
God he complains a lot. I’m glad many of us here notice this. Like, why complain that the Egg Station battle is too easy, yet give it tons of praise, but diss the Genesis version for having 0 rings? Ohh, cause of nostalgia
The best way to attack the death egg robot (Or robot death egg in Spanish) in sonic forces is by using the homing attack on its core and to get its S rank score 1.8 million points.

I gotta make an announcement NB posted a new video
The fact that you and Smg4 made your new vid at the same minute
Hold up, aint you Nathaniel B?
Dear god the fact There are more Eggman fights than Bowser fights is insane
The egg head has a few more tricks up his sleeve in almost every game he appears in
More added on when Superstars comes out.
Once again, Bandy includes loads of different ports but forgets that the Wii and PS2 versions of Unleashed have different eggman bosses
I'm so salty it's Egg Dragoon was left off. It's both refrencing other bosses AND allergic to quicktime events
The Egg Devil Ray is also an Eggman boss in that version too. I actually adore the Egg Lancer and Egg Dragoon refrencing the prior day and night bosses in their attack patterns (Day for Lancer, Night for Dragoon)
"But now, it's ad time!"

@supersonikimmy Yes he does, actually. In the Wii version of Unleashed, Eggman does in fact pilot the Egg Devil Ray. Therefore, it is an Eggman fight.
@@cosmosarts8709 ah yeah that’s true. I thought you meant both versions. He missed a bunch of other bosses too
