Snacks / Open The Door (Grogu’s Theme) - Ludwig Göransson

- Firstly, I want to give big appreciation for Ludwig Göransson. He is certainly one of my favorite composer/producers at the moment and he continues to amaze the music world with hits like Black Panther, Tenet, and of course The Mandalorian. I also can’t leave out the fact that he produces for the legendary Childish Gambino, who is one of my all time favorites. "Snacks" is easily one of my favorite tracks from The Mandalorian Season 2 Soundtrack. One of the things about that track is that it's a nice, soothing, and wonderous track, but then it transitions into a very loud and horrifying contrasting section. I decided to take that beautiful, dreamlike section and, instead, combine it with the heartbreaking reprise of Snacks we hear in "Open The Door" in the Season 2 finale. I really enjoyed that being a recurring theme for Grogu and I hope that people who adore the Snacks melody like I do will appreciate this version I put together. Enjoy!
"Snacks" is the cutest and most appropriate title for Grogu.
This generation's E.T moment. Loved it. Every second of it. One of the greatest finales of any season ever.
Great way to describe it👌
well put!
same thing I thought watching the ending.
Too bad they ruined it
"Don't be afraid".
The best advice to a force sensitive ever.
3:22 gets me every time. Luke picking up Grogu, when he looks at Din who has risked everything to keep him safe, and says “May the force be with you.” This part hit me like a brick. Fantastic score.
😍
I started sobbing when I watched this... and I'm a grown ass man. Star Wars was saved seeing Luke again.
The moment Luke came in gave me a well known but also strange feeling. It was like i could See me as a kid watching and loving Star Wars, having fun with it... When I say i cried, Then it is a huge Understatement. I had goosebumps, cried my eyes off and had a Strong feeling of nostalgia. That is something I will Never forget. Thank you Ludwig Göransson for this Awesome Music u made at the heartbraking goodbye scene between Grogu and Din. And thank you Jon Favreu and Dave Filoni for bringing back my childhood and making Star Wars Just as great as it is!
I had the same reaction. This song just makes me reminisce on when I first started getting into Star Wars.
I watched this episode on a zoom class and I continued to watch it for the entire day because I wouldn’t stop crying over Luke. Brought me back to my childhood when I would sit on my living room floor with my Star Wars legos and action figures and when I would duel with my friends. Good times
Im a 30 years old grown man and im crying my eyes out...
This is a truly masterpiece !
So hyped for season 3

@@UltimateJustin94 sorry, my mistake. Thanks for tellin me
Im 40 and crying
I've re-written this comment like five times, i wanted to say something deep but just: i cry like a fucking baby every time I hear this theme.
You and me both
Same here pal
It just doesn’t stop
Glad I'm not alone.
I cried too. This song touches something deep in my heart and I’m filled with yearning ❤️
This emotes pure innocence, wonder, curiosity and love - everything a small child is made of
My husband and I thought Grogu’s main theme sounds eerily similar to the first few notes in Gustav Holst’s “Venus” piece from his “Planets” movement. If so the subtlety is brilliant. John Williams himself also incorporated Holst’s style into his work too.
Ludwig said he studied Williams influences while composing the first star wars movies when he compose for mandalorian, so it wouldn't surprise me.
BEST PART
1:40 ....Mystical!!!
This moment !!!
Goodbye Grogu , see you soon!!!
For now at least, he'll be back
That scene had me crying like a fucking baby
@@Z-Romello Hes back
@@RantePlayz Boba Fett felt like Mandalorian season 2.5 imo
I can’t stress how great and perfect this score was for that scene
The goodbye gets to me every time. Yeah seeing Luke back was awesome, but this was the heartbreaking moment
4:03 itself deserves an award, sneaking in the mando theme ugh my heart
AGH I LOVE THAT PART I was looking for a comment like this to like
And it’s right when the cámara pans back to him
4:03 is the point where I get them feelings. Every. Time.
Literally had me tearing up. It's the peak of the entire song and show.
1:26 2:28 3:22 all capture the essence and feel of classic OT Star Wars like nothing else I've ever seen. I tear up just listening to this. Spectacular score to a beautiful scene
Remember tearing up during this scene. So well done. Music was excellent. Seeing Luke was incredible. R2-D2 was just icing on the cake.
I get ET vibes 😢 “I’ll be right here.”
This is such a beautiful tear jerking melody that fits Grogu’s innocence perfectly!
This gets me everytime I listen to this. A grown man getting misty over a moment in a movie/show. This is what classical music will do that other musical art forms fail at...bringing out that emotion in a scene that resonates deep in your soul.
These sounds melt my heart & I'm literally in tears, because they recall me soon the cutest being in the whole universe, little Grogu...
Mando saying goodbye to Baby Yoda broke my heart 💔 (and yes i still call him baby yoda lol im just use to it hh)
J'ai pleuré cette scène , cela m'a brisé le coeur surtout avec cette musique 😥

Grogu's back
This theme feels too innocent, but at the same time with a lot of experience
Exactly as Grougu, an experienced innocent being
3:45 is making me cry everytime. the music that was at the end of season 2 :(
My favorite scene in the series is the one on the second season when Grocu aproaches the eggs of ladyfrog and this theme starts playing. Beautiful scene, beautiful music :3
4:00-4:25
Best part. Love it. Was so emotional b4 the elevator closed. Best Star Wars weve seen in years
One of the best Moments in TV History
And with that the mandalorian completed his task.
This is the way
This is the way.

Saddest song in Television History!
My favourite part begins at 1:23. When I saw the last mandalorian episode, I cried my eyes out...😭
One of the best pieces of music SW has seen in a long time
All the feels
Watching this episode was one of the best moments of my life. I'm not even exaggerating. One of the best pieces of entertainment I ever watched.
So happy they used this again in the new Grogu short.
I was hoping someone would do a combination of the two themes... And you did it absolutely perfectly. Totally took my breath away, hearing the music in this way... Thank you for the work that went into making and uploading this. You're awesome!
Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate the kind words
For real though. I wish this version was on Spotify
My heart breaks again, Mando’s eyes filled with tears as little man takes off ♥️
If you asked me 2 years ago if the music of star wars could ever move away from John Williams style id call you crazy. It isnt star wars without it.
But Ludvig Gorranson changed the game
He made very spaghetti western music for a star wars show and it works so well
For god sake HE PUT DUB STEP IN STAR WARS AND IT WORKS
The man is a genius!
The music for luke hear somehow feels so star wars you swear its always been there yet its solely unique to this show. THAT is magic
Get chills every time I hear this. This guy’s a legend
3:25 May the force be with you
4:03 😔😭
I was looking for this comment lmao I love that part
The ending scene / music is on par with Return of the Jedi’s ending. I never ever thought I’d ever say that 🥺
Awww. This music is so beautiful. Makes me very teary eyed. 😢
It's so heartwarming and heartbreaking
3:48 seconds gets me in tears everytime it’s so powerful.
So beautiful. Reminds me of my son. What a beautiful piece of music
1:08 the smoothest transition ever
I wasn't ready to say goodbye to our green baby.
This music is SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!
Open the door is one of the best star wars themes, it's very relaxing
That was like the best emotional father and son goodbye ever 🥺😢😭
They say if you can watch this without crying, who are we kidding? No one can.
At 3:47 when you realized you survived 2020 and you are thankful that you did 🙏. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALL IN 2021
4:02 sneaking the main theme here was genius!
Grogus theme sounds similar to the father and son score from Jaws. Simply genuis music writing.
Just watched Jaws yesterday and that was the first thing I thought
Im not crying😢
Thank you for this great edit. This is a treasure. And of course thanks to Ludwig Göransson
I cried so much in that episode. And season 3s finale.
Perfect
Is the perfect music for Grogu. When he appears on the scene and the music plays in the background, it makes him look adorable and at the same time curious to discover what is around him. ❤
I cry during every listen
This music along with the episode of mandelorian hit me hard and making want to cry.but I hold up.and drink a beer to hold years back to avoid looking like a pussy.
3:05 - 3:33 is my absolute favorite part of this. Grogu's theme with the violin over it makes for such a bittersweet moment. This has been their goal from the beginning, for Din to get Grogu to a jedi. Yet neither Din nor Grogu want to let go, though they do. The song conveys it so well.
💯
Soooo true
3:49 I’m going to have this stuck in my head during ash and Pikachu’s final send off
Luke Skywalker holding Grogu. That’s monumental for Star was fans.
3:22 "See you around, kid..."
Wow, 3:08 gets me every time. Masterpiece!
Play this song at my funeral
Sad 😔😔
I have a feeling we won't see Grogu until the end of the next season or the season after that season 😢
Or maybe never... but mandalorian without grogu, its not mandalorian so disney know
Yeah, i think so too. Ofc disney's gonna bring him back eventually cause fanservice is always inevitable, but I'm excited to see how Din thing to cope with his absence while dealing with being (or not) the mand'alor.
Maybe in book of boba since mando was introduced in it again
@@dionelmejia8093 you are right
This ain't John Williams, but love it as much as if it is :D
Plus it made me cry when they get separated :'(
Was just about to create my own mashup. Stunning version, thank you!
The transition was perfect
I know they played this music in a few parts of the show but the main part where I seen it and actually listened to it was when they were in that cave. I was like damn that music is too beautiful and it fit the scene so perfect.
Pure emotion
Sad to say, but this piece of music made me cry
I feel comforted when listening to this. ☺️
I had to be a one on one aid for a kid at school (my job) this past few months as
he hurt broke both of his thumbs. The kid and I bonded together over that time. I kinda felt like mando watching him leave to go somewhere he was supposed to when school ended. I cried on my way home. The last two years I have had to say goodbye to a lot of people I cared about.
💜
Isn't that little green grogou so adorable Mandalorian baby Yoda I mean come on he's adorable
ok im crying
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 is beautiful
i'm not crying. You're crying QQ
Luke's part was very awesome but I only care about Din and Grogu's relationship. That's the heart of the story but in some fans eyes It was overshadowed by some lightsaber action. Too bad I think some fans only care about lightsabers.
It's the duality of both. The return of Luke, the incredible father-son bond between Din and Grogu; it's perfect.
i cried
3:47 onwards is a tear jerker
“The capital of the old republic is Coruscant, the capital of the new republic is in a planet called Chandrilla”
This song is perfect, but from here 2:52, damn man!
1:30
*Don’t be afraid*
2:00 the detail there of the reverbed theme
The way the music swelled when Luke looked at grogu
4:03 Best part IMO
Agreed
@@bhavyaangadsingh7620 ngl wish I could get a whole score based off that little 8 second beat.
3:47 chills.
I listened to this again because of the passing of Carl Weathers.
Thank you.
3:47 goodbye.....
Is it possible to upload this on Spotify? So great. No joke
Not for a jedi xD
When Mando took off his helmet so grogu could see his face I broke 😭
Snacks always makes me cry
Hopefully Grogu will come back as a Jedi and become the 2nd Mandalorian Jedi in history after Tarre Viszla. Technically, Grogu is a foundling because of Din, making him a Mandalorian. Grogu then will lead the Mandalorians to liberate their homeland. That's my hope.
el mejor momento es el minuto 4
1:43 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Mark Hamill reacted to the season 2 finale and let one very important sentence loose during watching: "The sequels are not canon." This is the way.
That reaction video isn’t real. Someone dubbed it.
@@twnyc3129 I know that too by now and it hurts :(
