How can I make a crushed snare drum around 4:10? Do you know the sample sound source used? It is a very attractive sound. Please tell me

Rick Beato said this is one of the best compressor plugins there is. Really interested in this. Eventide, how about a Black Friday discount this year?

Nice box, used it frequently years ago...but oops, did you notice that some of the examples distort in a not so nice manner?
(The last one and the one with the expander engaged.)
Maybe it´s worth correcting that to sing the praise of Eventide even louder :-)

Hmm... Imo it's a pleasant distortion. Very warm and yet unusual.
They just increased the output gain, so obviously they did that for the distortion to occur. If you don't want the distortion you should keep your output gain at lower settings. That's just how analogue compressors work... And analogue expanders i'm pretty shure.

Of course they noticed lol. It’s intentional & mostly known as an ‘extreme character’ tool, a tone box. It’s what you grab for smashing drums, the volume “reversal” trick, etc.....it’s a non-conventional dynamic effect (from 1971). Of course, you could use it subtly...but that’s selling this thing short. It’s EVENTIDE (see: history)....yes, they noticed 🙄
The ONLY thing this needed.....finally, A MIX KNOB!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sing praise or you’re doing it wrong 🤦‍♀️

@@stnepiper3062 Analog distortion sounds different, imo better, this here sounds like digital clipping...
