ADAS Systems: Adaptive Cruise Control

This series was filmed by the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (www.scrs.com) and I-CAR (www.I-CAR.com) to help consumers better understand the safety systems and functions potentially found on their vehicles, and considerations those systems may contribute to the repair process. Terminology used is common naming, and not meant to replace automaker proprietary system or package names.
In this video, Amber and Kurt discuss Adaptive Cruise Control, which is part of the Driving Control Assistance systems. This feature is cruise control that also assists with acceleration and/or braking to maintain a driver-selected gap to the vehicle in front.
