    Adam, you did well. You got her there safely. Please don't beat yourself up. It is no one's fault! To all who might read this, as a former paramedic, my advice is wait and put the patient in the ambulance, for it has all sorts of support systems. Although traumatizing, Kacie's injury did not appear to be life threatening. Regardless of my comments Adam, you did really well. You handled the situation correctly based on what you knew at the time. It is obvious how much you care for Kacie. Thoughts and prayers coming your way for both of you!

      Thank you! We really appreciate your advice and kind words. We will be taking a couple of medical classes so if/when something happens again... we will be better prepared.

    Glad Casey was not seriously hurt. But truth be told she just want to be waited on hand and foot. Casey do what therapist says to do you will come out ahead. After my injury and 4 surgeries on left wrist, elbow and shoulder working with therapist for 8 months everything works great. The house is coming along great.

      I joke about needing to break my leg so I can go back to laying around on the couch watching movies all day lol.
      Good to know! I am doing all of my exercises and stretches the PT has prescribed. If I don't my leg gets really stiff.

    My God, girl. I am so thankful you were not further injured. I know it's been a while and you've probably healed by now, but I know that scar will be tender for a while. You did a wonderful job taking care of her, Adam. Don't beat yourself up, I know it must've been terrifying, but shit happens and you both are better for it now. Take care, y'all! 😊

    • @bigskyoffgrid
      @bigskyoffgrid  8 месяцев назад

      I'd say I am 90% back to normal... which is great! My scar is still tender but most tight due to the scar tissue. My PT has a massage I can do to help break it up.
      Adam beats himself up a lot about the accident... but as my mother would say, "it's not your fault she's a klutz!"

    I'm sure you know this, working as a team is great, but you gotta know when to break for the day and always communicate ask if you're Ok, how does the ladder feel, are you cold, everything. With 2 guys working you don't have to do this as much, but with my wife, I'm overly cautious. Always keep in the back of your mind the fear of getting hurt because once you get too comfortable accidents can happen. You guys got this! Be overly cautious! Like someone else mentioned, the yellow scaffolding is scary! I wouldn't go any higher than 2 levels. Again be safe! Soon you'll be working on the inside and then living inside!

    • @bigskyoffgrid

    You really handled the situation quite well. And thank God no ligaments got ruptured. Now her recovery will primarily matter on the after injury support she gets. You have a tough road ahead, but i honestly believe that love will get you both through with flying colours. Anyways, lots of love from India. Just keep the faith and everything will be fine. God bless 🙏

    No you did everything you could. Now that she is settled in you need to take time for yourself. A trauma like this is major. You need to relax for a few days. I went thru this with my husband who broke twenty seven bones in his lower leg. His ankle bone was protruding out the top of his foot. It took three operations and twelve screws and bolts to hold his leg together. He was off his legs for about six months. So yes you become so traumatized it can effect your health. So thank god its not worse. Do not blame yourself!!!!!! Just love and care for her the best you can and your heart will make you feel better. Your wife is a lucky girl cuz your love for her is telling. Its all over your face. You guys will be just fine!!!!
