Probably because they were either part of the company, or owned the content being advertised (or paid Nintendo for advertisement).
Alot of companies are against unpaid/unaffiliated advertisement since alot of problems can occur. For example, if there is something vulgar or vile on someone's island that happens to have advertisement like this, Karens might think it's APPLE that is endorsing or condoning that behavior, and then Nintendo will have an issue on their hands if Apple came to them for it. Instead of having issues like this occurring, Nintendo and other companies with just nip it at the bud before anything happens.
So it sucks, but it makes sense.
If Nintendo was a parent, they would sneakily catch their child doing something "bad", not do anything, then 2 years later when they're having the time of their life, they would go full on punishment mode and completely ruin the childs day.
No? They didn't 'catch' her at all. Her island was likely reported by someone for advertisement (which it is by the way, her dream address being removed is 100% justified) so Nintendo would have looked into it and removed it. To make matters worse for her, she uses a MODDED SWITCH which is a big no no and I'm surprised she hasn't faced consequences.
What I'm saying is, it's more like a parent has a child that does something bad and then a year later they get told by someone that they found out their child did a bad thing then got them in trouble for it because it was against the law.

I have a theory that whoever reported it was doing so because of the flag not the Apple store build. As others mentioned, brands have created their own promotional islands without problems. I think someone retaliated over the BLM flag because people are awful and get really aggressive over things like that. They got mad, saw you had a build that COULD be a violation if you squint hard enough and reported the island.
I had real life property vandalized because of BLM and Pride flags/signs. That’s why as soon as I saw the flag… well that’s my guess anyway. sorry it happened. No, it’s not fair. I’ve seen much more egregious promotion on islands before.
A house in my neighborhood has a pride flag (they are a les couple) and someone just ripped their flag. For all I know, it could be my aunt (homophobic)
On my old island that I willingly deleted so I could restart, I used to have the Bisexual flag right outside my house. I had absolutely nothing else that would have been a violation, but after sharing my DA not too long I got a warning from nintendo that I was reported by someone. Thankfully it was only a warning, but it's 2022 man, grow up. People are gay get over it lol. So annoying

They just deleted the Dream Address from a year ago, which still sucks, but they didn't delete her island.

Something tells me that the person who reported the dream address didn't like your island flag, but Nintendo saw the Apple areas.

It would have been nice if they had given you a heads up. "You are in violation. Here is the violation. Please take it down or you will be deleted ". And the snitcher is jealous of you. Some people have nothing better to do but being a sour grapes troll.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Nintendo did the same exact thing to me a year ago, I lost all my progress and all the friends that I have made. I emailed Nintendo the moment I found about it happening, then again a month later. I never to this day received a response.

This happened to me! I uploaded my DA to my first island and then deleted the island hoping to have the DA as a memento to my first island. I woke up one day to the same email stating I had inappropriate content on my island that violated their tos. I was dumbfounded by this?! And I lost my first island forever 😭 apparently, they don’t look into these reports at all. I was devastated.
Also, I’m not an Acnh streamer or RUclipsr - and this happened to me- so I wouldn’t get too confident that is why this happened.

First off. We buy this game with OUR money for $60+ and we don’t make money off of our “advertising” on our islands. So what gives nintendo the right to do this kind of thing??? Literal companies and other things make islands completely just for the purpose of advertising and they don’t get in trouble??

Technically, the software is still their property. Yes, you pay to use it, but you still have to follow their user agreement and community guidelines. Apple (a competing tech company) probably didn't make any money from this RUclipsr's island, but I can see why they took it down.

They didn't delete her island, but the dream address (basically the copy that everyone could visit) from a year ago, which still sucks obviously, but not nearly as bad as deleting the entire island.

I’m glad I’m a small Animal Crossing New Horizons creator, because I have an Iam+ store on my island with logos, with the promotional photo of Iam+ Buttons, which actually took me blood, sweat and tears to get into the game, and everything. My saving grace is that mostly only fans of the Black Eyed Peas know of this business and their fans are really kind and would never do such a terrible thing.

The promotional content could be if you said ceo/ceomg when somebody tried to talk to you in the dream. That could technically be used as “promotional” because it is promoting your channel. Though I have seen many people do this. I do not believe it was fair that Nintendo deleted it and the person that reported you may have made a mistake too. This could mean that it was accidentally deleted. Not that far in the video yet so not 100 percent sure. oh, it was apple. I’m an Apple kind of person. On the Apple note though, I have had a LOT of things like that (Starbucks/autozone) and they don’t really care.

That's wild if the Apple logo got the DA deleted. There are citycores that people do with *multiple* real-life stores, like KFC, Dunkin', etc.
It also counts as advertising/promotional content if you advertise your socials: your comment on your Passport that your character says to people during dreams is the big one. When people first got the ability to upload dreams, a TON of DAs started getting taken down right and left because they put their YT or Twitch links in that passport comment.
That being said, people definitely hate-report perfectly good islands so that could have just as easily been it.

I am an Android fan, almost all my cousins are as well, one of them (21 at the time) made a whole presentation about how Androids are better for his class. I don't hate apple fans but I like Android better
After going between apple and android a lot I can say I don’t really have a preference anymore. I think each has it’s strengths but it’s more about which ones you enjoy more. I used to love my Samsung s10 and would say it was better than any new iPhone and while I still believe it definitely has some great advantages (headphone jack anyone?) after that companies like Samsung showed me they’re just as anti consumer as apple by getting rid of headphone jacks to peddle their overpriced Bluetooth earbuds and making devices harder to repair (yes I am aware they’ve been doing that for a while now and it further proves this point). This is because both apple and android companies like Samsung are just greedy corporations who want nothing but your money. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk everyone!

Yooo this happened to me too. Someone decided to report my DA when my island was literally just a kid core island. They said it was “inappropriate” and deleted my DA. I just don’t get what some people’s problems are with people being better at decorating an island than them. Some people are gonna say that it could’ve been an accident, but let’s be real. HOW THE HECK CAN YOU ACCIDENTLY COMPLETE FIVE STEPS TO REPORT SOMEONE!

They been doing this since new leaf. If your Island isn't popular enough it gets deleted after a while. If it hasn't been updated. I had my very first town on acnl dream address uploaded just in case I wanted to vist it again some day. After a year or two I put homebrew on my 3ds I decided I wanted to copy my old town and get it back. Typed the address in and it didn't work. This was like a year or two after I uploaded it to the dream address.

I used to be a die hard android lover until my daughter gave me an iPhone as a gift. Although it was a huge learning curve for me, I soon came to understand why Apple is such a huge success!!! Never have I had an android phone that was so easy to use and the switching between apps is so incredibly smooth and effortless it’s amazing!!! I could NEVER see myself going back to android now. My daughter has created another Apple lover!! I got her one of the 1st Apple phones for her 15th birthday and she has never wanted any other phones. She tried once with a Samsung Galaxy Note and quickly went right back to her Apple phones and has looked back!!! Now I’m right there with her too!!

Hello, this is my first video on your channel that I have ever seen and I would like to make some notes as a first time viewer.
Point number one:
It is *obnoxiously* clear you are stretching this video to 10 minutes. This is noticeable as you are seen repeating yourself many times, as well as pausing to explain things that do not need explaining.
2. During the time you reused video footage of your upcoming old island tour, you have also noted to look forward to seeing the full video. As well as randomly talking about things in your island. While there isn’t anything inherently wrong with this, the problem is that you hadn’t gotten to the point before discussing the cute parts of your island.
3. Before talking more in-depth about the part of the island that was problematic, you immediately start talking about how you are a user of said product. Then asking the comments what they prefer. It almost makes it look intentionally like an ad for the company’s product being discussed. Ignoring this, asking your viewers an unrelated question like this comes off as begging for comments.
I am not saying what you are doing is bad, or that your videos are bad. What I am saying is that these things are somewhat noticeable to some viewers like me, and it makes me not want to watch the video.
My literature teacher had a saying for both videos as well as many forms of writing. “If the person reading (or watching) your content starts to wonder how much time is left, you may want to reconsider how long your writing (or video) is, or make adjustments that make the person want to see more rather than wish it was over.”
