Fun fact about the money trees!! If you plant 30.000 Bells, you won't lose money at all. There is a good possibility of the tree growing 90.000 Bells in total. And if it doesn't, you just get your 30.000 Bells back in 10.000 Bell bags:]
I mean you won't lose money but you are going to make less money on average The math works like this: When you plant a money tree with 10,000 bells or more, you have a 30% chance that the tree will grow and yield 3x the money you put in, and a 70% chance that the tree will yield 30,000 bells regardless of the extra you bury. So averaging out the 70% of the time that you get 30,000 bells and the 30% of the time you get 3x the bells you buried, that means that on average a money tree yields 0.7 * 30,000 + 0.3* 3x. where x is the number of bells you put in (assuming that amount is at least 10,000 bells). Multiplying that out, you get an average return of 21,000 + 0.9x bells. Since you have to put in 1*x bells to even roll this, your average profit will be 21,000 - 0.1x bells; you get less money on average if you put in more bells
@@juniecrazbeanzzz I can confirm this is true. I tested it out two years ago, doing it 100 days in a row and figuring out the percentages. This was actually a control for seeing whether or not Katrina's Good Money fortune affected Money trees. (It does not, BTW) Here's another fun fact. If you bury only 100 bells (the smallest amount you can separate) in a glow-hole, you will get 3000 bells from the money tree, meaning you'll get 900 bells from the initial bell bag, plus 3000 from the mature tree for a total of 3900 bells. Which is a much greater percentage return than the 3000 net bells you'd get if you were to bury the whole 1000. In the first few days of play this can make a big difference.

Another tip, Stone Axes have the same durability as regular axes, which means you can hit the same amount of trees with them. They also don't cut down trees, and have 60 more durability than flimsy axes, so they're useful.
As a long-term animal crossing player, I know a good portion of these but I did learn a couple of tips that I would have never thought about. Thanks, Chase!

Its very interesting how animal crossing island designs became art. Complete with the demoralization from looking at other works and gaining no attention. Considering the time and creativity it takes to make a fully decorated island with a theme and perfect villagers im definately willing to say they're works of art.
i'm literally taking notes on this video, i wrote everything i didn't know on my notes app so when i play i have these amazing tips by hand, these are very useful! thank you :D
Really great video for all the things to know when it comes to New Horizons! There are some things I noticed that aren't quite right, may need a little more of an explanation for, or other things: 15: I do not recommend that way of hitting rocks. You're more likely to push yourself away from the rock if you don't position yourself correctly, which is very easy to do. A better method is to dig a spot one space behind you and one to your side opposite of the rock at a corner. This will keep you in place and let you hit the rock without fail. 20: I feel it's safer to shake directly in front of the tree and make sure you have a free space on both sides of you instead of being at an angle. Otherwise, you increase the risk of accidentally shaking the tree again instead of getting the wasps. 29 - 32: Nook Mile tasks are only really good for keeping track of your progress towards the fishing rod, net, and slingshot. For the Golden Shovel, that's really difficult because it counts helping Gullivarrr and Gulliver, not just the latter. And it only goes up to 20, making it hard to determine how close you are to 30 with Gulliver if you help both of them out. My suggestion is to either keep the items Gulliver sends you so you can count them and keep track, or set aside the rusted parts that appear in the recycle box the day after helping him. Just make sure to keep them separate from the rusted parts you get after helping Gullivarrr. There is another way to keep track of how many axes you've broken, but it can be a little complicated depending on what you do: the Rough-hewn goal. It keeps track of how much wood you've chopped from trees. The "bare minimum" you would need is 4,000 (that's 100 broken flimsy axes, but ONLY IF you just used flimsy axes, did not just hit the same tree over and over again, and only considering if every hit resulted in getting a piece of wood and nothing else). Sadly, Rough-hewn only goes up to 5,000, so if you're past that, you'll never really know where you're at with the broken tools outside of the Trashed Tools goal. 35: Animal City, Drivin', and Farewell are secret songs you have to type the name CORRECTLY in order to get them. The actual invalid request songs (super secret songs) are a rearrangement of the main theme from Wild World/City Folk, a song based around 70s/80s Japanese City Pop, and a song possibly based on doo-wop songs from the 50s. You can find a little more information on these songs on Nookipedia. The files in the game name each song Hazure1, Hazure2, and Hazure3 respectively. 38: If you're not trying to break axes anymore to get the golden axe, you can also just use the stone axe. It has the same durability as the regular axe, BUT it won't cut down trees like the flimsy axe. 42: An alternative to this would be using the cooking recipes or buying food items from Nook's Cranny or Nook Shopping, but it's understandably not as convenient as getting turnips and eating them to max it out. 44: Sending messages to yourself is also super helpful for completing the Popular Pen Pal Nook Mile Task. How else would you send 200 letters while playing the game? You can also send letters to your residents (villagers) and depending on what you write (or don't write at all), you can get some fun little bits of text you don't get to see anywhere else. 50: The USB keyboard tip is super underrated, I swear! That's one thing I always love yet so few people know about, especially content creators! Glad you included that one, even if it was very brief! 51: From CJ and Flick, it's not double but 50% more than what you would get for selling critters at Nook's Cranny. Also, your residents can offer to buy more common critters off you for 50% or 100% of the price you would from selling them at Nook's. Though, they'll only opt to buy them if you talk to them a couple of times, but it may not always happen. 58: This one's kinda weird. While you do unlock your catalogue from Tom Nook later on in the DLC, you still have to take on a client that will have that item available as part of your "unlocked" (recommended) items. Those items will then be available to purchase from Wardell. This is just to clarify something that some may find confusing, since the game doesn't really tell you how you get items available from Wardell's shop. It definitely confused me until I figured that out. 64: To add to that, if you happen to miss a day or time period, you can use the NSO app under the Island Newspaper section and scroll to the bottom of the screen to see what the price was for that day/time period. Only really works if you don't time travel, though... 71: I'm pretty sure you meant the right stick on that one, but if the left stick does the same thing, I guess I never noticed? 73: As an avid saver of tons (and I do mean TONS) of photos and videos, I absolutely agree with this. Definitely something to keep in mind is you can only save up to 100 videos on your Switch. However, if you have an SD card in your switch, you can save up to 1,000 videos. Now with screenshots, I have no idea what the limit is (if one exists), but they take up very little room (that does add up over time). Whenever you want to back all of them up, you can simply connect you Switch to your computer, go to System Settings, Manage Screenshots and Videos, and Copy to a Computer via USB Connection. I don't know how well this works when docked, as I do this when the Switch is in Handheld mode. If you're not able to do this, you can also take out the SD card after turning off your Switch and connecting it to your computer. Much more tedious to get the photos and videos this way (mainly due to how the files are structured), but you don't have to connect your Switch and PC directly if you're not able to do so. Of course, there's always sending them to your phone or other mobile device, but I've always found the way they implemented that feature to be more of a pain that it has any right to be. 81: To clarify a bit more for that, make sure you fish for specific ones multiple times. Salmon, for example, has 4 recipes that you can get from catching them, and you have to catch a good amount of them to get all the recipes. Of the fish you need to get that have recipes, I'd say the hardest one is the Blue Marlin. Somewhat helpful tip for getting this fish: while it's a pier only fish, it can also appear on NMT islands when you fish on the dock near the plane. It's strange, but it can happen. Other fish that have related recipes to them include the following: Anchovy, Barred knifejaw, Dab, Olive flounder, Red snapper, Sea bass, and Squid. 87: I've already seen someone mention about the "I have some ideas" option when designing homes, so I'll leave it at that. However, I do want to mention something in regards to amiibo: you don't appear to have the option to choose whether or not you want to do the theme they want for their home (if it's a resident and not a Special character). I need to double check this, but I believe a workaround for this is to do a custom theme for one of the potential clients on the beach or in the cafe or restaurant, then amiibo in the client you want to make a custom theme for. It's very bizarre, but I guess that's just how it works? Apologies for the super long comment! I guess I had a lot more to say than I thought!
I just started ACNH and out of a few tip videos I watched, this one was my favorite. Super helpful, detailed, and love your personality! I can’t wait to see where this game takes me. Thank you so much for the video 💜
Playing this game for the first time I bought it a year ago, played a little then seen people’s creations and immediately got burned out just from looking at it. Today being April I couldn’t help but take a liking to this game and try it again, it’s like a huge tycoon/minecraft and blockhead game squished in one while being cute I like it! even my sister noticed how fun this game looked and she wanted to play too but sadly she doesn’t have a Nintendo lol and we both came from games like Texas Chainsaw Massacre/Sims4 and Mario party so being into this game is like a breath of fresh air no more rage, (At least not yet.) and these tips helped a lot! I just wanted to say thank you! This game is truly something. I hope to get far into the game as possible❤
Chase! You have returned! The prophecy has been fulfilled! That's wild, your finding every villager streams made me want to start a second island and get back into animal crossing, now over a year later my second island is just a couple builds away from completion, and suddenly the king of animal crossing has returned. Oh yeah, it's all coming together
I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates the mole cricket. Something else you can do is place weeds on top of where the mole cricket is and it will instantly despawn it. It’s more convent than having to dig it up
Also something to mention, the flower one. The best pattern for single flowers is the turtle pattern. It gave me blue roses. I’ve noticed a lot more. The 1 space is good for duplicating flowers, but not good for breeding.
I’m still pretty new to this game and these tips were super helpful, so sad too many trees hamper getting to 5 stars though, they literally look so pretty on the island!
Something I’ve never seen anyone mention; You can just keep an ABD and storage shed in your inventory at all times for easy access to your inventory and bank account. This was super helpful when I was fishing/catching every fish/bug I saw for my museum
Woah such a long video, it must have been a lot of work. Thank you for making it! I think I will rewatch videos of you this evening, because I love hearing your voice. It helps me fall asleep :)
as someone who is hard of hearing mole crickets are my biggest enemy, I can't hear them (even with headphones) and I can't catch them without having to dig up my entire island
Honestly I didn’t expect to learn ever so much, I thought I knew it all but I was genuinely so wrong, this video is so helpful and it’s really reinvigorated my love for the game after having played it for years! 🎉
I really want to thank you for this amazing video. I just found my love for this game again a week ago and this really helps. And I need to say that you have an amazing calm voice. It's really relaxing listening to you talking. Keep up the good work

I have always enjoyed your ACNH content! Especially your island visits. You have such a wholesome energy and soothing voice. I recently started playing ACNH again!
It’s been so long since I was recommended a video from you! I used to watch your villager hunts and island tours all the time! I recently got back into animal crossing so I might have to go back through your island tours looking for inspiration for my island!
Also, if you round the corner on your terraforming and go the the side with it and break it off, you can break off that one and another. Do it multiple times and it works a lil faster since you only use the rounding once
Chase! I'm starting my island from scratch, and you have no idea how much this video helps omg. Especially tip #60, I have been struggling with that a lot lately. Thanks so much!!
dude i was literally thinking of you and your videos today (not in a weird way i promise 💀) and then in next hour i get a notif from you!! i’m so glad you’re back, you’re one of my fav yt channels, i hope you’re doing well
Loved this video! I got back into it after a few years and recaptured my love of the game. Funny you mentioned Nintendogs. I loved that game, was great at it and even wrote a book on it (Going to the Dogs is the title). I love that someone else still remembers it!
When you're in the museum, when you go into the fossil area, and you go straight ahead, then turn right to the sun thing in the corner then go through the door go up the stairs there's a bunch of characters if you stand in between one of then it zooms in to the fossils!!
If you visit the museum at night, you'll notice that some animals are at sleep. While some night active ones have awaken. The opposite day time ofc 😊 Also, I use the ACNH Guide app on my phone. Its awesome when trying to keep track of what you caught and what animal you need. Its also very good app when trying to keep track of your turnips, telling you the likelihood of prices and which days and times they appear.
I stopped playing Animal Crossing when I started Nursing school. Now I’m halfway through and play it nearly every day as a way to relax 😅 thank you for all the tips!
When you are putting the custom designs down on the ground, you can actually use the construction app and in the path section, the custom design option is available!! Super big time-saver :)
My first campsite villager was Marshal and I’ve never been happier. He was my dream villager before I even started the game. Now he’s my best bud and I’m never letting him leave
I’m only recently getting back into acnh after being away from it for a long while and starting a fresh island. Bc I got the game in may 2020 and had put it down again before March/april 2021, I’m actually about to experience my first bunny day and cherry blossom season!

Enjoy!!! Also comparing Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Sims4/Mario Party in the same sentence is wild hahaha
THE FAKE WASPS EDITED IN SENT ME 😭💀
Fr
Lolllll
I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates the mole cricket.
Something else you can do is place weeds on top of where the mole cricket is and it will instantly despawn it. It’s more convent than having to dig it up
Also something to mention, the flower one. The best pattern for single flowers is the turtle pattern. It gave me blue roses. I’ve noticed a lot more. The 1 space is good for duplicating flowers, but not good for breeding.
I’m up late due to accidentally eating gluten (I’m celiac) and I find this video insanely comforting during my troubles. Thank you! ❤❤
I'm celiac too! It's the worst gluten is everywhere
your kindness in this video made me cry twice. instant subscription. oh, and the video was very helpful too lol
Not only do birds appear on the bulletin board for a message but you'll also see an owl when something really special is going to happen
like what?
I think it's owls in the night yellow birds in the day.
@@shiptrapislandyeah
I just want to catch them but they are so elusive 😂
It’s birds at day and owls at night. Not when something special is going to happen.😊
During KK concert, I like to hold my glow stick. It's more fun than clapping. XD
That's so cool! Where can I find a glowstick?
I’m still pretty new to this game and these tips were super helpful, so sad too many trees hamper getting to 5 stars though, they literally look so pretty on the island!
Something I’ve never seen anyone mention;
You can just keep an ABD and storage shed in your inventory at all times for easy access to your inventory and bank account. This was super helpful when I was fishing/catching every fish/bug I saw for my museum
I do the same! I just started playing last month but quickly realized this was the way to go!
@@jessski29 you realized this way quicker than I did 😅😅 I was several months into playing before I started doing this!
@@mzblackmetal1092 I got lucky and randomly put one down not realizing what it did. Things have been so much easier since 😂
how do you do this
my favorite tip is to carry a shed to always have access to my storage :) it makes decorating so much easier
You can also carry an ABD so you have access to your bank 🏦 account everywhere you go as well
Woah such a long video, it must have been a lot of work.
Keep up the good work
Currently crying happy tears! 🥲 I’ve been in the hospital for over a week and will be here for a few more weeks. Your videos bring me so much happiness! Thank you for uploading! 🥰
Hope you’re feeling better!
I hope that you're taking care and will recover soon 🫂
Hiiiii Chase!!! Clicked so fast for this notification. So nice to see you making content again ❤🤗
PS danggg my rainbow gong got an upgrade 👀
Looks so goooood @@stepknee
@@ChaseCrossing- I’m new! Couldn’t keep up with ALL THE GREAT LITTLE TIPS!! Learned SO much & don’t understand others & will have to look up key words-boat /captain/ Red-?/ May’s island?? Perhaps write out a few captions for us NH ISLAND NEWBIES! Thanx 🎉❤😊
@@ChaseCrossing emerald gang going strong 💪
The ending was right on point! Just enjoy the game because once your island is done, its done. Thats where im at, i want to restart but cant seem to let go of all my progress 😂
I have always enjoyed your ACNH content! Especially your island visits. You have such a wholesome energy and soothing voice. I recently started playing ACNH again!
I just looked at this thumbnail for a second in awe 😂😍
It’s been so long since I was recommended a video from you! I used to watch your villager hunts and island tours all the time!
I recently got back into animal crossing so I might have to go back through your island tours looking for inspiration for my island!
I actually thought you werent going to come back to us and here you are
5:05 WHAAAAT I knew I was hearing a bug but I didn’t know it was underground 💀💀💀 you blew my mind
Also, if you round the corner on your terraforming and go the the side with it and break it off, you can break off that one and another. Do it multiple times and it works a lil faster since you only use the rounding once
wow i just got acnh and am going to use this for my first playthrough. thanks !!
Wow have fun! Try a spooky island theme it will be great
OMG, it's evil imp!!!! I used to love your videos!!
YAY....CHASE IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
I've so missed you and your video's. I was worried when you suddenly stopped posting things here on youtube.
Chase is back!! Right when I've just restarted my island too! Perfect timing
Chase! I'm starting my island from scratch, and you have no idea how much this video helps omg. Especially tip #60, I have been struggling with that a lot lately. Thanks so much!!
This was so helpful!! Been playing for a year and just started a new island. There's so much I didn't know. Thanks ❤❤❤
Glad I could help!!
16:16 the fish eye lens makes it infinitely funnier. You put me in a metaphorical juicer and squeezed yet another sub out of me.
Since you didn’t know the birds on the bulletin board, at night it’s an owl. Also the more birds, the more you haven’t seen.
The fake wasps 💀😂😂
Hey, I just got a switch today and acnh. I just wanted to let you know that this video was SUUUUPER helpful. And I already paid off my nook phone!!!
wow 🤩 great tips and tricks video, especially all of the game play with the wasps! 10/10
Omw, I just thought those birds were always there! And I had forgotten the buletin board existed until you mentioned it, so thanks
i love the sloppy bed and table 40:41 ! they just make your room feel so much more alive and less like an ikea display or something lol
I miss this ☺️ just in time for summer coming up when I have more time and I finally get to relax and play animal crossing again 💛
dude i was literally thinking of you and your videos today (not in a weird way i promise 💀) and then in next hour i get a notif from you!! i’m so glad you’re back, you’re one of my fav yt channels, i hope you’re doing well
Loved this video!
What is this 2020?! Bro 😂 It’s always good to see you post!
2020 being 4 years ago should be illegal
one of my tips is when I want to get rid of a custom path or make a new one I just overwrite it with the new one so I don’t even have to do any work.
OmGOSH!! You have just MADE MY DAY! I didn’t know about putting a new house down and getting storage TYSM!
Thank you for this video me and my wife have just started Animal Crossing for the first time and this really helped us out!
If you visit the museum at night, you'll notice that some animals are at sleep. While some night active ones have awaken. The opposite day time ofc 😊
Also, I use the ACNH Guide app on my phone. Its awesome when trying to keep track of what you caught and what animal you need. Its also very good app when trying to keep track of your turnips, telling you the likelihood of prices and which days and times they appear.
Such a fantastic and helpful video for both new players and veteran players alike! Thanks so much for this! Its so good to see you back ! 💜
22:55 You can also hold a fence and it (iirc) will let you see behind your cliffs and houses
This dude's humour is as broken as mine and I'm having way more fun than I should watching these vids 😭😭
Honestly I love the group stretching, it’s absolutely adorable lol
This is legitimately the most adorable video about gaming I have ever seen, You made my day today! ❤
I stopped playing Animal Crossing when I started Nursing school. Now I’m halfway through and play it nearly every day as a way to relax 😅 thank you for all the tips!
Great to see you, Chase! Watching from London, ON :)
Chase!! You have no idea how much this made my day 😭✨💕🎉 we’ve missed you!!!!
OMG CHASE😢❤ welcome back! We all hope you’re doing well!!

*travels to an island for the 1st time*
wait who’s tha- BOB?!
Excellent work! Hearing this music and your voice was so nostalgic to me. So many feels.
When you are putting the custom designs down on the ground, you can actually use the construction app and in the path section, the custom design option is available!! Super big time-saver :)
Starting animal crossing for the first time in October 2024:) your video was very different compared to the other ones I already watched. Thank you:)
Me after seeing the golden/flimsy axe and Mario tube tip 😮😮😮 WHAT!? I am loading up the game rn and getting those done.
Thank you!!!
Right?! They're SUCH game-changers!
Dude i just restarted my island and just found this and learned so much more than the guides my mom bought for me taught me
My first campsite villager was Marshal and I’ve never been happier. He was my dream villager before I even started the game. Now he’s my best bud and I’m never letting him leave
Wow what a pleasant surprise seeing you back!
I was thinking some days ago that I missed your videos so much and now I see this ❤
I needed this refresher I watched all the videos like this back in 2020
I just started this again after 2 years. You’re my top of mind! Welcome back again 🫡
When I made my island ( Happy Town ) The two starter villagers I had were ace and KATT! I got a cat as a starter villager!
Just started my island from acratch so this is a godsend thank you sm
I’m only recently getting back into acnh after being away from it for a long while and starting a fresh island. Bc I got the game in may 2020 and had put it down again before March/april 2021, I’m actually about to experience my first bunny day and cherry blossom season!
Great video! I feel like a real pro now with these amazing tips (except for tip #42.5)
Tip 42.5 is the most important tip what do you mean
Thank you for making this theres so much to do and I'm so excited for it 😁
Welcome back Chase. It's awesome to see you on my screen again ❤
Une astuce dont personne ne parle : mettre des lunettes opaques (comme des lunettes de soleil par exemple) quand on s'est fait piquer par des abeilles permet de ne pas se faire interpeller à ce sujet par les habitants quand on veut leur parler.
23:45 I just always ask myself if ppl are able to reach these gorgeous islands without having the online Nintendo subscription
watched it all, knew most of them, some I didn't... but i needed tip 101, i needed to hear that, thank you.
So happy to watch a video from you! 😊
