    The build quality seems to keep getting better and better!
    I think the bigger improvements are the reported suspension and noise quality.

    Two of the biggest features nobody mentions are the new subwoofers and the tires. The tires on that Highland are the new e.Primacy. They are said to have the rolling resistance of a train wheel. That is pretty incredible and it is almost all of the reason why they were able to increase the range even at lower speeds.

    I'd invite you to take a drive in a car park with steep entry / exit ramps, and some "overzealous" speed bumps. I've had two ground scrape events on my existing model 3, and I've only got a thumbs width clearance coming out of my existing driveway.

    The dead giveaway was when showing the centre console storage, the little black triangles are bluetooth BUTTONS made by ENHauto called S3XY buttons. They can be programmed to perform many functions. I use one to open the passenger door, one for the charge flap, one for the front trunk and one to toggle chill/standard modes. All of them make life with a Tesla much easier and prove that we humans like buttons, knobs, dials and handles.

    • @LysanderLH
      @LysanderLH 7 месяцев назад

      @@Tschacki_Quacki Tesla are mainly design over function.
      Using phones and looking at screens while driving, increases the risk and likelihood of accidents and using a mobile device while driving is an offence in many countries. Tesla drivers are not an exception to this. So being able to press a button without having to look away from the road ahead will always be a better option. I tend to use Chill mode on longer journeys but it can be useful in town. I can change modes without taking my hand off the wheel or looking away. I can open the front trunk while standing outside the car and without having to lean across the wheel to find a 5mm icon on a screen or opening an app etc. I can open the passenger door without having to lean across the car or shout instructions to whoever doesn’t know how to use the absurd door handles. Most people I know have either required a demonstration or …. It’s just easier and it stops people from pulling the emergency lever when exiting because the door button isn’t obvious. Infact ENHauto have designed a multifunction knob which can be programmed to control loads of functions.

      @@theadventureinsider why not get a set, demo it in real life use and then argue against having shortcut buttons? You could give them away if you really don’t get on with them but as with all things Tesla, for many owners and potential cult prospects, if Tesla didn’t think of it, it must be a bad idea. Not saying this of you but for nobody else apart from those in the Tesla bubble to be arguing against buttons and knobs (I think another maker used touch sensitive buttons), does seem a tad obvious to me that Tesla has become an ideology, especially in America where everything seems to have become an ideological fight.

    I would honestly have sacrificed the ambient lighting if it meant not having to see that glare of the aluminum running across the entire windshield. Bothers me so much...

    Exterior looks good, I love that wrap around inertia light, steering wheel is cool, I'm all good about the lack of stalks, but those additional 4 buttons in front of the center look awful! Why not keep that stuff in the screen?! and that glove box is a move in the wrong direction.

    One thing that will always bother me about this car is that the steering wheel right side has 4 buttons but the left side has 3..

      I know, I suffer from the same condition.
      You can always paint a fourth button there - that might help.

      They both have three buttons. The right fourth symbol refers to the scrolling wheel function (cruise control/ autopilot).

      @@David_Polak but in the middle you have the horn - to which side does that button belong?!? 😂
