I still have questions regarding the royalties, I think it will only applicable to only console games, there might be some changes in PC especially with epic games store. If they don't take royalties from epic games store it means they are making it more popular, or to compete with steam. If your game hitnl with a million revenue epic games surely want to take your game revenue free on their store.

If the total quarterly income is $20K, but $10K came from the epic games' store then those $10K are royalties free, which means the quarterly income epic games cares about is the $10K from other stores, which means the royalties due are based on those $10K, not the total quarterly income of $20K, correct?

Is it weird that I have a recurring dream that I'm emailing support, telling them I need to pay them royalties?

does this direct support also mean we can get the nearly 5000 bug backlog worked on?

What about non profit studios making films for hobby ?

As long as the studio have a revenue below $1M, they would not need to pay subscription. If they make more than that, i would guess they could afford it?!

If your game is epic exclusive then it sure as hell won't be making majority of it's revenue in the first six months, lmao.

So if I’m a indie developer does that mean I have to pay for a seat?

Depends if you're developing games or non-game apps or movie/films. If you're developing games or non-game apps, 5% royalty. If you're doing Archviz, movie/films, training sims, etc., it's $1850 per seat. But if you're making under $1 million in gross revenue per year, you can use the engine for free. EDIT: Oops...non-game apps fall under the 5% royalty since you're distributing the Unreal Engine runtime.

Epic Games and Disney generate millions of dollars in revenue each month through their combined presence in the gaming and entertainment industries, particularly on platforms like Google Play and collaborations with Hollywood. Both companies have billion-dollar revenue streams and play significant roles in their respective sectors.
In an attempt to bypass Unreal Engine (UE) royalties and avoid paying associated fees, some entities have resorted to using pirated versions of UE, which is a highly advanced and sophisticated software developed by Epic Games. This software is widely recognized for its capabilities in game development, animation, and real-time rendering.
In a strategic move, Epic Games and Disney decided to sever ties with Google and RUclips. This decision aimed to prevent Google from potentially developing competing software that could undermine their market position and avoid the complexities of royalty payments. Additionally, there were concerns that Google might use AI to circumvent UE royalty payments, further incentivizing Epic Games and Disney to protect their intellectual property and revenue streams.
By breaking up with these platforms, both companies aim to maintain control over their advanced software and creative content, ensuring that their financial interests and market positions remain secure.

Yeah, can we do something about the crashes first? I can't even open 5.4 without it failing to launch. (LS-0013)
