    Very stylish. The problem for us mortals is knowing when to ratchet up the attack and when to cash in. Many games are lost by getting that timing wrong.

    When Wei Yi does it, he's sacrificing in the style of the old masters. When I do it, I'm throwing a piece out the window. It's what comes after the sacrifice that makes all the difference.

    • @davidanderson_surrey_bc
      @davidanderson_surrey_bc 7 месяцев назад +15

      Well, there's your problem. Close that window. And when you try to throw the piece, it will just bounce harmlessly off the glass, and you can pick it up and put it back on the board.

He would do astounding piece sacrifices that as a beginner you could never imagine and turning the game into a crushing win. This is that kind of brilliance that leaves the common player sitting in awe. Thank you for this game. Something that will be a timeless masterpiece. This is what draws you in to want to play chess.
