An excellent presentation. Even more info on top of what was covered 2 years ago by "The Car Car Nut".

Just right. Pleasantly surprised that the info presented is more than I expected. And details were not as tangential as I feared they would be

I have a 2013 4runner that had a sunroof leak. The water mostly ran down the driver side A pillar and damaged the body control module. I was unable to get one of these from Toyota, but did get one from a used parts dealer. Replacing it restored all of the functions of the vehicle except the keyless door lock. Oddly, the immobilizer and starting functions were never affected. I would like to get the keyless entry to work again. When troubleshooting the the vehicle the only fault code was B1242. It seems the CAN is not communicating with the wireless tuner. Is this likely a fault with the tuner itself or something that still needs programming to match to the BCM? I also found conflicting information on where the tuner is. Some sources say it's above the headliner and some show it in the middle of the dash behind the radio. One other piece of information is that the tuner will chirp if i hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the fob at the same time for several seconds. This tells me that the tuner does receive signals from the fob, but it could still be faulty in its communication circuit with the CAN. If you can tell me where it is on that model it would be of great help.

RAV4 2010, dot on the original blade.
Bought 2 keys from ebay. Seller said, chip is 4D67 and will work.
When you plug the obd keymaker, the computer goes into solid red SEC programming mode.
Very difficult to get out of programming. In your clip, as soon as you removed the key, the SEC light goes off, but in mine, it stays on. I tried to turn it off by quickly turning the original key on-off a few times, and now the car will not start with the original key!!!
All online instructions I found: All keys are lost, you must press the LED button constantly. Can anyone tell me where is the ???? LED button? There is a LED light on the keymaker, but no button to push.
    Any help will be appreciated.
