I went home a few days ago to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and I also wanted to surprise my mother. When I came to the kitchen quietly, my mother was making meat with a knife, and then she excitedly hugged me with a knife .

It’s pretty devastating that most of the people in Wuhan aren’t able to celebrate lunar new year and reunite with their family this year. Let’s pray and hope for the best for the current pandemic and eventually things will get better.

I'm an online English teacher to Chinese students and I can feel how excited and how they missed their families whenever I have classes with them. I'm just so happy seeing them reunited for so long. FYI, Chinese people are very hard working. They're willing to work and leave their families so that they can earn more money for the sake of them too. Mind you, most of them have only one chance to see them and that's during lunar new year/spring festival. It's like equivalent to a family reunion. So, don't say that they just overreacted. As if you don't have a family 😒
Considering the circumstances in the country, I would think one would use their head and put off visiting this time around. Maybe refrain from possibly catching or transmitting a highly contagious virus?
@@Poemi10304 okay. I got your point but sorry that's not my point. What i mean from my comment is some people in the comment section thought that these parents were just Overreacting. No, it's not. As you can see in the video, parents were seen showing great emotions upon seeing their child (usually their ONLY child). Of course! It's a typical reaction of some Chinese parents especially if your only child comes home once or twice a year especially Spring festival or Chinese new year. Moreover, i am well aware about the outbreak in China and so are my students. Definitely, they will not come home due to unforeseen circumstances.

My 2 brothers and I havent seen our mum for a year because of covid. We flew back home to surprise her. She cried when she saw us. 7 months later my mum passed away. We were all beside her
