Making transit at Dubai do you have to go through border patrol or check in your bags again
Yes there’s a quick security check but I didn’t reclaim my luggage until my final destination.

please apart from your hand luggage which is 7kg were you allowed to carry a backpack ?
Yes a laptop bag or handbag in addition to your hand luggage is allowed.

@@emmanuelappiah8077 that is usually not weighed but will raise eyebrows if the size is too big. You can pack it with whatever you want but no gels or liquids are allowed through the security check point. If you have any they should not be more than 100ml and must be put in a ziplock bag.

From dubai to London please so you need a transit visa?
No you don’t need a transit visa if you’re traveling to London from Accra through Dubai using Emirates Airlines.

@@megasare9609 I think most of the Schengen countries would require a transit visa if you are a Ghanaian travelling with a Ghanaian passport to London and if you will also transit in more than one of the Schengen countries. Istanbul does not require a transit visa because though its an European country, its not part of the Schengen countries. However, there is an exception if more than one transit is required in the same country_ in this case you would require a transit visa because it is assumed you will leave the airport and enter the country to continue your journey to the next airport in the same country hence a transit visa is required; other than that you will not need a transit visa. So what you should look out for when booking your flight is if the stop is one, more than that will require a transit visa even if it's the same country. Example when you are booking a flight and there are TWO STOPS let's say Istanbul and Antalya BOTH of these airports are in Turkey, however you will need a transit visa for this travel. Thus if you book your flight and its only ONE STOP eg Accra to London using Turkish Airlines, with ONE STOP meaning you are going to transit ONLY at the Istanbul airport in Turkey _this *does not* require a transit visa. I hope this helps, if not please contact the airlines to be sure before you travel.
