I actually had to just take a moment and check the weather and forecast on my phone for Kyiv for the next week, and it’s going to be daytime highs of 12-17 degrees with overnight lows of 3-5 degrees (all Celsius numbers obviously)!! That’s beautiful early springtime weather, and most certainly NOT cold!! In fact, those daytime highs (averaging 15) are basically warm enough to go without a coat at all, or worse case a light spring jacket to block the wind if it’s windy… Poor Johnny getting old with bad circulation, or bad blood… 😢

Everyone else that booked the hotel after that was paying over $200/night but ours was prepaid at the lower price and it included free breakfast. Snow plows showed up to clear the roads. The snow drifts were over 10 ft high. The brooks froze over solid. I had bought all our ski equipment and ski outfits 75% off from an end of season sale so we didn't rent anything.
