We're not serious urban explorers, if you can't tell, so don't expect a history documentary packed with valuable information. Instead expect 3 down to earth guys exploring abandoned places. Some asylums built in the 1800's were of epic architecture! But in the 1900's, some big old houses were converted into asylums. So they started as a grand house then it was converted to be a crazy house! Looked a bit like Dracula's castle outside in the dark haha! You didn't get Al to try that noose!!
I like that most of your explorations are during the day, but the creepy vibes from dark videos are good too. Especially during October.
I would think that a lot of the old Asylum's were former Workhouses, as they had to do something with them.They were often built by wealthy landowners which is why they look as nice as they do, and the residents would have worked for them as a way of earning their keep. I would think the state of the Welfare System would have been the nail in the coffin for Workhouses, and which is why I think that they became Asylums, up till Care in the Community became a thing as they were very expensive place to run.

Great explore with your normal excellent humour, tell Al he needs to put some weight on then he can’t always get picked for tight spaces and Norton to loose weight as it’s his turn to go through tight spaces, Loydi can’t do it as he is the camera man.
