Noticing that we have a choice about how we experience life is very, very important in the healing process. We can stop and release our stress/tension whenever we notice it and than this more relaxed attitude becomes our default response over time. It's absolutely doable when we deeply understand that we DO have a choice. Thanks for talking about this Dan. It's a key understanding when it comes to change and growth.
Yes! Just knowing that we have a choice and are able to do what's right for ourselves is soothing in itself.
I seem to be in anguish all day while my thoughts are trying to soothe. It’s like I am at a stalemate.
Dear Dan,
I have had Long Covid for 2 years.
Your daily videos have inspired me to deal with it in a relaxed way every day for a long time.
This has contributed significantly to my improvement and I am almost completely healthy again.
Your whole philosophy is a particularly easy to practise version of the mind body approach.
You do this every day for countless sufferers free of charge.
God bless you !
Thank you so much. May God bless you too.
It's really hard when the sensations oh really high and there are tremors through my nervous system to not go down the road of Despair especially when there's no sleep and constant waking arousals through the night of the sympathetic system and stress hormones which keep the pain levels High this is the most challenging place I've ever been and yet everything you say is true about self- soothing and acceptance and calming and it gives me hope that I can do this however slim the hope is today because yesterday I did more than I had done in a week and had also a huge flare up and at 75 with my body deconditioned it is very very challenging somewhere inside I have to hold on to hope thank you Dan 🙏
This encouraged me to focus more on soothing. I don't seem to have much rage these days, but suffering, yes. So beautiful there at your beloved lake. Thanks for sharing it with us.
50% rage and fear 50%joy well-being and confidence 😵💫
Spent a lot of time soothing am not angry or frustrated anymore I live my life to the best I can. I trust the process 😊. So sorry to hear about your internet at the lake that yoi have to go home again 😢you are the best Dan we can always count on you every day ty ty ty 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤

I now soothe more than I rage Thanks to you Dan! Blessing to you and all on this channel. 🥰
This spoke to me So Loud today. Thanks, Dan!
I’m struggling with a situation that I’m unhappy with - there’s a good way out of it but it may be icky for a while. Haven’t been soothing much, just anger and upset about the place I put myself in. It can can better and I don’t have to hurt while experiencing it!
Jim Prusack the Pain Pt has an excellent success story… well worth a listen. He is another mind body practitioner the same as Dan. I am sure Dan won’t mind me mentioning it. It demonstrates that this mind/body work … works. 😊❤
I HAVE ALSO WATCHED MANY OF HIS VIDEOS AND LIKE HIM. ALL PRACTIONERS HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER FROM THEIR PERSPECTIVES
Which success story are you reffering to?
@@TeresaWalters-zq3mt Mind Body success story with Anna. She suffered from ibs, migraines and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.. it’s his most recent.
Outdoors is one of my "soothing' too...beautiful there!
Yep that is where I am at all the time. Rage and it is hurting me but I don't know how to stop.
I‘m so frustrated at the moment…?wanted do do something good for me, i‘m affraid of going with the plane but decided to go fir a holliday in Iceland, nature , beautiful colours , calm etc wanted to ‚explore the world despite my syntoms‘ ! I wanted to ingage in life! But on the second day we had to return home because of an emergency … i‘m so frustrated.. seems like the whole world is against me, wy was it not possible to get this 8 days of relaxation and new input ?? I was determend to do something ‚special and fun‘ it has cost lo lots of energy an organisation- and than everything breaks down😤😢😡 sorry but i have to feel my frustration.. if not i‘ m going to explode… i feel like i was shot by a torpedo😭😭
So enlightening! Love the lake scene, sooo serene❤
Like a pendulum at the moment 😂🙄🕒
Hi Dan, mostly okay and utilizing the tools, engaging in life.
Hi Jane, do you think colitis is curable by eliminating stress?
Oh wow ! I got a trip planned and don’t wanna ruin it and pressure pressure … that’s exactly my mental state right now .. I am actually trying to control the future which is insane … now soothe soothe soothe
I don't know about the optimal ratio for healing from pain, but heard that in terms of relationship one has to offset negative interactions with positive ones by 5:1 in order to have healthy growth. This is because of our brains' negativity bias, i.e. we naturally tend toward hypervigilance as a protective strategy, and it is hardwired into our genes as it helped our ancestors survive dangers (now we're paying for it with anxiety disorders and related somatic issues like pain). So I would believe it goes the same for pain: we need to establish sense of safety as our dominant state. Easier said than done, and that's why we hurt :(
Thanks for the video, Dan! And a great topic and a wake up call for me because I know that I spend too much time on the rage side
I’m going to change that I know it will be for the better!
Absolutely!
Pretty sure it was Marc Sopher that explored this concept first in the TMS world
It could be.
60% on range! How to avoid it when u get the flair is the issue
Dan...can you get yourself a Hotspot so you don't have to leave the lake?
I have one, but cell signal there is rough. The cottage is on the bottom of a Rock hill. There is speedy internet there. It just seems inconsistent and I lose connection more than I'm willing to risk.

Haha read title as " rave to soothe radio";😂
Get a Starlink terminal and you’ll have internet wherever you are!
Yeah - not going to invest that much for 12 days a year. I have solid internet at home - provided by the landlord. But great idea if I traveled more.
