    Heard the following " when the brain can't find an external cause it goes inwards". Wow those 11words hit home.

    For months I only lived on potato and I got worse because they said my symptoms were caused by histamine, then when I understood what CFS is, I started the day with pizza the next day and for a month I had pizza for breakfast, I had a lot of flare-ups, but after that it went away and I've been eating what I want for 1 year now .

    Wow Dan, I love this video! Very encouraging and so clear. I have been a lot better since I view your videos, but I always used them for symptoms I had. It works absolutely! When the symptoms are bad, I go for a walk and speak to my brain out loud. Calming and reassuring my brain that I am actually OK. But this video learned me that the complete imbalance of my body can can also be healed by telling my brain that I am OK. Thanks a lot! I will work on that from now on. I am very grateful for your free content, Dan!. Have a nice day! Love you too 💌

    I do 100% agree with you but I do believe eating a better diet is essential for good health (not going to help TMS as it’s not physically triggered) including eating pre and probiotic food (I take a few supplements for health not for my symptoms). Saying that as long as you don’t do this with fear or think it’s gong to cure you and obviously eat some treats but best to eat whole foods for a long happy life. I am trying to live my life but sadly my symptoms won’t shift and I just keep going through them and trying not to be fearful. It was very difficult yesterday as I felt like I was carrying someone on my lower back and my throat/neck head was numb and tingled or felt really tight. Arm / hands felt heavy so incredibly heavy like I’m lifting a bolder and not just my own arms or phone. Sadly the more active I am these days the more the symptoms ramped up but I keep at it and hope it eventually listens. I do feel happy that I’m doing things. Thanks Dan xx

    I eat SUPER healthy and have lost 60 lbs. by doing so., but I still have an extra 15 lbs. in my belly that won't go away. I'm 100% certain it's because of stress, where my body is storing up belly fat for an "emergency" because I spend so much time in "fight or flight".

      I feel the same when I am outside I am a different person and I don't like being inside at all as I am much more focused on the sensations in my body and feel confined by the limitations of four walls. Outside I am much Freer and do not notice the sensations to the intensity that I do when I am lying on the bed

    I've recently discovered you from the UK and am making a start on your videos. I've had chronic back and hip problems for many years but entering perimenopause has made them and my anxiety and fear about them far worse. My back "goes" every now and again and it did in January and the muscle spasms are extreme and take your breath away. Unfortunately, my brain is always waiting for this intense pain and I know i'm holding myself tightly to stop it happening but holding myself tightly is causing more pain. I'm going to have a look at your videos for ways to help. The first one I'm going to try is to stop talking about them and asking for reassurance. Thank you for your videos.

    My problem is that I have chronic gastritis with real physical evidence, but it keeps being chronic because of my stress and anxiety response. Because I know of the physical evidence, I can't tell myself "it's all in my head" like you can with symptoms like back pain.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  3 месяца назад +3

      I would never encourage anyone to tell themselves "It's all in your head". That is incredibly dismissive. The symptoms are all very real. They are just false alarms created by a brain perceiving danger. When in the fight or flight, digesting is suppressed which can allow things like gastritis to occur. Yes, the symptoms are real. But the solution is still a mindbody approach to get out of fight or flight so the digestion can return to balance and the body will take care of the gastritis symptoms.

    My gut is really bothering me & acid reflux yesterday burned my throat so bad. The bloating is so bad also. I cannot eat anything - just drinking oregano tea & ginger tea. Eating some fresh aloe vera. The mind is projecting this into the body - how do I convince the mind I am safe.

    • @1STBUCKLEY
      @1STBUCKLEY 3 месяца назад +1

      I'd cut out the herbal tea to start. Aloe can be taxing too. Go back to basics, break the fear cycle. Adrenaline fight n fight almost shuts down digestion.
      My gut issues all started after my mum passed. Had stomach ulcer, h.pylori. four lots antibiotics two weeks course ! That was over 25years ago.
      I started restricting foods. Ibs etc. the brain gut connection is a real thing.

    What is the difference between sycosomatic and mind body?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  3 месяца назад +8

      Those two terms are very similar in what they describe. Unfortunately, psychosomatic has a negative connotation despite the word being accurate in it's meaning. When psychosomatic is used, people often interpret that to mean "It's in your head" which can be insulting. Symptoms are very real, just caused by a brain perceiving danger.
