The model 556 Travis Haley is a very sturdy and rugged platform, and with the choice of various fire rates, the Travis Haley can be formatted to meet you operator needs.
Travis is the Man! Unreal to watch him work, so fast and precise. Great stuff folks. And hey Colion, that gap between you and Lasorte is closing nicely. Have to admire Lasorte's tenacity, mad props to you Sir!
Lol! Colion you made me roll when you said the rifle made you shoot like Jerry's adopted black son. Made my day man. Awesome video, keep up the good work sir!
Literally the best episode you've done man. I've been critical in the past of your format changes on the show but this is the first episode that really has started to reach its stride. Good work.
One of the BEST Episodes!!! Haley is just a BEAST!!!!! Say what you will, but the guy is taking maximized, efficient shooting, and making it accessible to the general everyday shooter.
At Haley Strategic Arizona Travis has actually hired several doctors full time to work with people and their mindset and diets to form better shooters etc...
Permits already make it a privilege. It is an infringement which makes it unconstitutional. Furthermore, the cost involved and the use of coercion makes it extortion for our right to bear arms in order to defend ourselves.
2:23 Make time. It's that simple. I work corrections. These inmates have all day everyday to think about how to rob your house, take your car and in some cases take your life. They share stories and ideas with each other. They have a plan...do you?
I have got to say that Travis Haley is the biggest badass I have ever seen! I have appreciated this guys work ever since I picked up my first rifle. He was part of my inspiration to enter military service. I'm also going to play devil's advocate with this post and say that I support a small amout of mandatory training for fire arm sales. I can hear the tea party comments coming for me as I type this but bare with me here. Before I could ever shoot without parental guidance, my father had me take a hunters safety class and even that basic knowledge helped me keep myself safe whenever I went shooting. I know that the second amendment is a right we all have and we do need to protect our rights, but we also have the obligation to keep society safe. If we have a bunch of uneducated people running around with assault rifles, we will become the middle east. I'm not saying that we all should take a week long course with some Academi navy SEAL instructors, but maybe a short hour long crash course on how to maintain your weapon and safely store it. I mean if you go to an arcade to play a game if laser tag, you will be forced to watch a 15 minute video on how to use your gun, but if you go to buy an assault rifle you receive zero instructions on how to take it apart unless you ask for it. In my opinion, I think a little guidance on firearm basics will not hurt anyone and could prevent accidents which may be fatal. Maybe if states were to implement a law like this they could lift the absolutely insane laws on magazine size and caliber restrictions. I know this comment is kind of crazy and if you have a different opinion feel free to leave a comment as I am pretty open minded in this belief. However, if you do leave a comment, please keep it as intelligent as possible. Thank you.
Totally agree. They don't let you behind the wheel of a car without training, so why a gun? While I don't believe one should be required to take mandated training, I absolutely believe people should have to demonstrate an acceptable level of aptitude with firearms to own one. Heck, when I teach a friend to shoot, I always tell them this is how it's going to go: You will learn the basics and show me that you are competent. Then we will shoot. It may take hours, it may take days, but you will know what you are doing before you come out and shoot with me. Take it or leave it. This is the price of fun. Even when I go shooting with people who supposedly shoot a lot and know what they are doing, I always sit back and watch them before joining in on the fun, and I fully expect the same from anyone else. Getting shot accidentally once in my lifetime was more than enough. From now on, you have to pass a test before accidentally shooting me.
SlovPeter How the hell does it affect your rights? Training is only ever a good thing . You have to think about the rights of everybody else , Not just your own
I came from a state that has insanely strict gun control laws (NY) and this is my take on any sort of mandated training outside of the military and law enforcement. I am against government mandated training for several reasons. They can design the training as an obstacle to being able exercise your rights by making the courses too hard to pass, too expensive to take or too iconvenient to go to. Too expensive because governments never met a fee they didn't like. Example, it costs nearly $450 to obtain a pistol permit in NYC. Too inconvenient because they will make you go to a designated course center that is not open on weekends so it forces people to take days off for a course that will be 8 hours over two days because 1 hour can't justify the outrageous training fee. They can also turn the course into one hour as you say of practical training and 7 hours of anti gun aka gun safety propaganda like they do with all the smoking warnings when you buy cigarette. The most insidious aspect of this is that it becomes a a form of gun registration by maintaining roll calls of all the people who signed up for training. Thus giving states a trackable data base with all your info for future confiscation or forced give ups like what NYC did to all the gun owners who registered their semi auto rifles in the late eighties. It becomes even more feasible as a form of true gun banning if states require this training and certification as the only way to permit you to buy firearm nullifying your Second Amendment rights. As far as lifting mag bans or so called assault weapon bans that will never happen in those states that have them but they sure as hell will welcome one more obstacle to your Second Amendment rights that state mandated training creates. Oh and before you mention being a veteran/prior military could be counted as having had training, they don't exempt veterans and active serving military from gun laws so you won't be spared either. In short, I fully support getting training but no way in hell do I trust federal, state and local governments to do right by the gun community with any sort of mandated training.
Allen C. i think to purchase a firearm you should as you said at least have an hour crash course on important safety disciplines like trigger discipline, safety discipline and muzzle discipline and the course instructor reserves the right to deny you passing if you show a poor attitude e.g lack of attention.
My favorite thing about Travis Haley isn't his sweet t zone ability but his ideas on how to make normal people better shooters not just for some fancy tactical shoot but for competition as well the man is a machine with a rifle
Personal responsibility is Liberty.. You and you alone are responsible for yourself, safety/security, finances and everything that's within your sphere of control.
Travis Haley is a man I would want watching my back and not the other way around....he's terrifyingly good at shooting guns, but also amazing at it too.
Extremely off topic but i noticed the Range Rover in the background. Very nice! I own a 1999 P38 and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Awesome video. Great shooting.
This channel is a great find for me, even with all the haters you still manage to show you intellect and education shine through. By the way what belt is "The Tactical GOD" Travis Haley using?
Yes! The different cadence is a fantastic learning tool. I'm going to save this video so I can watch this over and over again. I wonder if I can implement this during dry fire training. Thanks for this comprehensive video. Awesome! With that said, I don't believe there's a shooter alive today (even at age 67 yrs old) that can match Jerry Mikulak speed. I believe he has 4 or more world speed shooting record. But, don't quote me on that. 💯💯👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲🙂🙂
I support training *IN SCHOOL*. Start teaching kids the Eddie Eagle stuff in k-3, basic firearm safety/handling in 4-6 (with non-firearms) A refreshers every year or two throughout high school. Bring back school based rifle clubs wouldn't hurt either. Nation of Riflemen starts young.
Colion you need to follow top gears protocol and make your weekly guest run a standard course with recording of times on a leaderboard...I have a feeling Mr. Haley would be very high on that leaderboard
Colin, what is the importance of a rail that sits flush with the end of your barrel? Is it just hand position or the ability to increase accuracy with the addition of accessories such as lasers or even backup iron sights?
Love the series and the competition getting close towards the finish. PS: My ol lady says Lasorte is a dead ringer for actor Chris Messina's character on "Project Mindy"... even down to some of the mannerisms. I googled this and have to agree. :) Cheers from Canada.
Well, for a group like the NRA, who does not want a national registry, to ask for mandatory firearms training when owning a firearm by nature create an artificial registry? Wouldn't the "training records" need to be filed, compiled and wouldn't the states have to share this information should you move from one to another with your firearms? Let's say every state said "Yes, you can posses said firearm pending a training session/search" Moreover, say training must be specific to each firearm possessed, thereby inadvertently creating a registry where firearms type and possession can be discerned not by searching for ownership but by simply searching the training records? That is a slippery slope my friend.
What separates Haley from others IMO is right down to what he even is in the shooting world. If you look at shooting as a sport, you've got some star players, and that's the path of most of the well known instructors. Haley pretty much got a football (shooting) scholarship cause he was good, went to college and kept playing well, about to get that Heisman, everybody cheering, then he announces that he's gonna be a head coach instead.
It is pretty amazing how much thought Travis puts into what seems like the simplest things. Pretty cool.
The model 556 Travis Haley is a very sturdy and rugged platform, and with the choice of various fire rates, the Travis Haley can be formatted to meet you operator needs.
GREAT video, Travis Haley is amazing, and I can appreciate that he is prior service and has applied these fundamentals on the battlefield!
Travis is the Man! Unreal to watch him work, so fast and precise. Great stuff folks. And hey Colion, that gap between you and Lasorte is closing nicely. Have to admire Lasorte's tenacity, mad props to you Sir!
Where can I find the Travis Haley select fire trigger finger, and do I need a tax stamp for it?
Good work.
9:40 and that, kids, is how uncle Travis was made illegal in California
Fucking sick man.
***** I was commenting on his shooting skills.
@@kanyewest1365 Amen - he seems even faster than full auto - Travis is the man.
That was fuckin ridiculous! Lol dude is IRL master chief.
@@michaelskramii2245 not even close to full auto.
Probably best show so far. Travis Haley is a BEAST!!

OMG 9:40 insane I watched it 20 times. Amazed
rockriver704 he's basically a machine now

I was like .... Holy shit ! damn
Damn Travis! That guy is a freaking genetically engineered, robot, body slayer.
Travis is SICK. Wow...insane skills, and a neat guy. I stand by what I said a few weeks back....he is soooo winning!
Travis Haley: "it's all in the hips, man"
At Haley Strategic Arizona Travis has actually hired several doctors full time to work with people and their mindset and diets to form better shooters etc...
Milspecmachine 🧐
Less talk...more Haley
Permits already make it a privilege. It is an infringement which makes it unconstitutional. Furthermore, the cost involved and the use of coercion makes it extortion for our right to bear arms in order to defend ourselves.
Exactly, and who keeps them from making the training so time/cost consuming that no one but the wealthy could be able to get the training.
07beachbum
with the nfa tax stamps, they are already doing that with many items. That was the goal after all during the prohibition.
Absolutely first rate content with you, Lasorte & Haley.
One of the best episodes on Colion Noir channel
firearms training should be a part of school curriculum
isis kids know how to shoot and Americans shoot on ps3.. hell ya it should be part of school.
I 2nd that motion 😎
Damn straight!!!
tony right along with civics.

It's one thing to execute but a whole new realm of professionatcy when able to instruct others to execute as the instructor does.
I came here for Haley.

"Quadruple taps like I'm Gary Miculek's adopted black son" That line was too funny.

Also good to see you win this match Noir
Man, Travis Haley is a BEAST!!
Impressive handgun shot by Colion. Hard enough to hit the target at 100 unsupported, let alone after running. Any doubters go out and try it sometime.
God damn Travis is a fast accurate shooter.
Easy solution, just make basic gun safety part of the high school curriculum along with first aid and situational awareness
Travis Haley is dynamically awesome.
Love the look of the rifle.
That 100 yard shot was schuhWEET!
Lots of good stuff to learn I love it, I know I am going to have the same problems if not more
