Got mine delivered yesterday 32GB 1TB from Minisforum £540, price has risen since last week when i ordered...ridiculous machine for the money, i honestly dont think theres anything out there to compare for the money....i dont game at all but a fair amount of 4k editing and DAW multitrack audio..breezes through it
Thanks for a Great informative video. But... Will this mini pc handle watching large hdr 4k movies (at 120hz) when connected to my 65" samsung qled? That is the only thing im looking for in my Next mini pc.
As they can handle 4 screens at a time, I would have thought so! But if not, it's easy enough to plug an eGPU into the Oculink connector ! If you have the cash maybe an ITX box would be more up your street!
Thanks My friend I have found no good video about this watch so it's your call to make a video. Remember you made a video on MIBRO A1 that the best keep up.
hello again. I have done the video - will publish it shortly, just gonna add subtitles. If you'd like to watch it: ruclips.net/video/R0E-PADOfFQ/видео.html btw. hope you don't mind I've mentioned you at the end of the video? thanks.
@@TradeKingz73 pretty good I got it mainly for game emulation it handles it like a champ. If you do get it for gameing I recamend disabledng windows mpo it was interfering with the graphics card causeing graphics driver time out
So has Minisforum UM790 Pro, But I think 8 threads and 16 cores at up to 5.1 GHZ of the UM780XTX is only marginally slower and easier to keep cool. I have a UM790 Pro and have a UM780XTX coming in 3 days time so ask me then 😂😂
I didn't see him give this pc a score, this PC Is way above a 7 for what it can do. more like a 9. 10 if they had a variety of colors and designs to choose from as oppose to a less than stellar rgb display.
When I look in my crystal ball I see in 5 maybe 10 years time mini PC's dominating the market. ITX comes second, but because of the decline of graphics cards sales they will be too expensive for us normal people. ATX towers are filling the skips(dumpsters in America) because they are too bulky and expensive to run, and have been abandoned for the last couple of years and are only used by old geezers and offices too cheap to buy decent kit! All the AAA games are made to run best on the latest Gen of Mini PC's! SO get in front of the curve and buy a UM780XTX or even a UM790 PRO.
Avoid buying these kinds of mini PCs, the have proprietary non upgradeable hardware and overheat like crazy after a while. I ended up buying the Nova PC from MicroPowerPC. It has an i7 12700 and an RX 7900 XTX and the performance is incredible. The PC is beautiful and the case is made out of aluminum and has an integrated handle which is great for me because I can take it to and from college when I travel
Not sure what you mean. This pc does not have "proprietary non upgradable hardware." If you're talking about the oculink port it's quite the opposite actually. It's faster than usb4 and it's something that a lot of the newer high-end gaming pc are beginning to incorporate as standard...the external gpu shown here is not proprietary either. It can be used on any pc that has an oculink port... however, there are other egpu's that can be used on this pc either through usb4 or oculink with an external adapter... What you're referring to is something the Asus rog ally gaming handheld has which is truly proprietary as it has a specific port not found anywhere else for their own rtx 4090 that can't be used anywhere else and cost over $1000. As for the price of this pc. In the u.s. it is currently at about $437 (3/24) barebones...however if you sign up for an Amazon credit card and get approved you automatically get $100 credit so essentially you could get this pc for $337...now that's quite a bargain for what this pc can do.
Oculink allows an external graphics processor. You are comparing apples to orange seeds. You bought a tower, not a mini-pc. This thing fits in a lunch box with enough room left over for a sandwich and some cookies. Plus its like 400 bucks LESS than what you bought. Oculink ALONE makes this better than your tower.
It will be the last ATX tower that you will buy, Look at my earlier post where I look into my crystal ball🤣. In electronics the trend is always to go smaller and yet still get huge improvements in performance. Mark my words you will regret not going small earlier!
Very interesting - fantastic review - covers all the information i needed 👍

thank you for the sticker tip, i turn the RGD led on since i've watch this video.
You change to performance mode in the bios and get 5 more watts of TDP.
thx , i may try this - but it may reflect on thermals
You say the thing has a few minor flaws. What do you mean?
Thanks for the video!
What about the use of Davinci Resolve for 4k editing (not in a professional way) , could it be good enough?
Is there going to be a huge performance difference between a 32g ram kit and 96?

4-6% diff max, and no oculink.

Ist there already a test result?
You are at a 8.5 and if you bring it down to a 7 I bet you'll get more subscribers.
thx for the feedback. you're probably right. but I gotta stay honest, regardless of score

yea get the 780xtx and then still have to buy a GPU to attach it to run any game well, might as well build a PC at that point
