I haven't read through all of the comments but, just in case, the critical part for me and getting this set up was to reset the extender to factory settings. Somehow I had set it up incorrectly the first time. After a quick reset, these instructions finished the job!
This happened to me too and a reset after I had done several tries, plus using mywifiext address for me to set up the extender configuration.
I have this extender / access point paired with my Nighthawk router. The combination works flawlessly.
I have a shed behind my house with a metal roof and a foil heat barrier. I couldn’t get a cellular or WiFi signal inside. I had to step outside on the porch just to get a single bar. After installing this set up I now have full WiFi in the shed and a strengthened faster signal in my home. Your instructions were clutch. Thanks!
Do u have to go to your WiFi and change connections every time u go to a dead spot?

Typically, range extenders are designed to connect to the central WiFi router. While technically possible to create a string of extenders in some cases, each new hop decreases performance. Instead, we'd recommend looking at a mesh network where each node fully supports the others through a back channel for larger area coverage. I am having issues with my connection.
My netgear has the first two lights on and they are green. But the second two lights are off.
They were on previously on and everything was working great.
I had to unplug it to move something and it quickly plugged it right back in but now I only have two lights and I don't know what to do to get the last two lights to go on.

Well, bummer. My extenders don't have any button to press. Also, when adding Wi-Fi plug , app asks me for a password. Which one ? One for my Router, for my Modem, for my Network, for my extender ? do i have to create new password ? It is 2023, all this stuff should link automatically. Regular person has no idea how to navigate through configuration page.

I did every step for the WPS set up multiple times. I even got the two green lights to come on but whenever I search for a network I could never find one that has “EXT” on the end.

Do you need to periodically reset these extenders? (unplugging them from the electric outlet, wait a few seconds, plug them back in)
Ben Lewis I just set up mine as instructed in this video and it worked perfectly first day. Now it’s giving me problems and it doesn’t connect to our devices. It causes my devices to not connect to the main Wi-Fi name that is not with the extender at the end Of the name. Do you have any advice on this issue?
Ben Lewis no, I did not reset or start the process over. Is this what I’m supposed to do every time the Wi-Fi gives out? Am I to unplug the modem every now and then to reset the connection? Will this Wi-Fi extender always have this type of issue and not stay constantly on?

literally what can you do when the extender wont pop up for wifi on the laptop, sitting here feeling helpless and just wasted $100. This system has gave us several problems, my phone offloaded the app to save storage, by doing this it basically erased the entire system and we haven't had wifi upstairs in days

What purpose does the Ethernet port on the bottom serve?
It's for creating a wired connection to a nearby device if you choose to in extender mode, and in access point mode it's meant to pick up the signal from your primary router instead of doing it wirelessly.
Don't turn on the microwave... aAnd also don't put a microwave anywhere near the modem. Life advice!
What's going to happen my modem is near 3ft from my microwave? can you answer this PLS.
@@MegaShowie Microwaves interfere with wifi. It doesn't destroy anything, but it might cut out the wifi while it runs.

Thank you so much WPS button wasn’t working at all almost like they did it on purpose because I called tech support and they were trying to sell me a firewall because mines not secure which is a lied.
FYI I had a NETGEAR extender can’t remember the name exactly but is like $30 and the upgrade version is 44$ in Amazon which they both suck for my Situation. I’m about 175 feet from the main router max speeds I got was 40 and a average of 20mbps. Now with this EX6250 I get an average of 100+mbps and my Xbox which is wire gets 150mbps. And our main wifi is on 200mbps max and I’m almost 200 feet away but also no trees or nothing in my way

How do you set up access point on this Netgear EX7300 instead of Extender?
Everything works fine till I try and connect the EXT to my computer and there’s no WiFi network with a EXT to it.

If a person is rich enough to own a mansion they'd probably invest in multiple modems/routers as well as extenders to make sure the entire place is dead spot free.
My house is huge and we have to use 4 Different routers.

If the Wi-Fi extender supports running a network cable across the house from the router, then yes, that will improve performance. However, not all Wi-Fi extenders will have a physical port to support this.

Once connected to the extender, that website link will normally connect you to a web server on the extender itself. If you're still having trouble connecting, we recommend contacting the manufacturer's support team directly for help with your individual setup.

I have 2 netgear extenders AC 1750 and a EX6150 model. My router is a basement location. I have a rather big house so my question is can I use both extenders? The EX 6150 shows up on my wifi list but the AC 1750 does not. Really need help with this. Thanks

If an extender is connected via Ethernet cable, you'll generally need to go into the WiFi extender's settings web page to set it up for devices connecting to it wirelessly. Check your manual for the specific process required when using your extender in this mode.
What if it never turns green?
Do I put the password in before or after I move it to my needed location?
Either way works as you can move the unit to another wall plug as needed.

After plugging the extender in, i never see it's network in wifi settings. Tried multiple devices. Nothing.

How do you go to a website if ur connected to the wifi extender and it doesn't have internet
Start by disconnecting the WiFi extender from power and confirming you can access websites while connected directly to the WiFi router. If that works, we recommend resetting the extender as per the manual and then going through the setup again to ensure something wasn't misconfigured. If the issue persists, you may want to contact the manufacturer for troubleshooting steps specific to that make and model extender.

I need a dapter that looks like the cable for TV company when they put in your cable TV but the cable on my internet boster box is the size of a cigarette filter i need a dapter for that from cable to plug where it will fit my internet box

a phone or PC will NEVER EVER shift so a stronger wifi, as long as you just have a little weak connection from the first connection you made. you will need to close your wifi og your phone and turn it on again. Extenders really sucks, so if you have the possibility to connect your extender with a cable to the router, then do that, and make an "Accesspoint" insted, and you will have full power
