I have Platinum GOW (2018), the most difficult thing was to collect all the ravens (eyes of Odin) - so I recommend you give it a try! 🏆
There's no way you fought Sigrun and thought the ravens were the hardest bit lol

@@Xplorerhobo Agreed, the birds aren't the hard, just time consuming. The Valkyries are the hardest part by far, but they aren't to difficult once you get their attack patterns down. The trials of Muspelheim might give someone a tough time too.
The way Saint Monica nails the scale of their games is so insane. The World Serpent has to be one of the coolest moments in the game.
They are actually such a goated studio! Nailing it since the fist GOW

i disagree wit da guy who said Ragnarok was bad but it definitely wasnt better then gow 2018 everything about 2018 was perfect kratos kept his composier and brute personality from the older games in Ragnarok he was more emotionally unstable which imo doesnt really fit kratos he should be wise enough to understand n cope with the things he did, plus some of the things they did like having kratos feel bad for killing for two a holes like mangi and modi like what? They literally forced his hand and threatened to take the only reason he has to live but he feels bad for them? But doesn't regret killing Hercules for some reason his blood brother who was manuilpated by zues to hate him? Sh! Doesnt make sense imo. Even cory barlog the guy who really understands kratos as a character and made 2018 gow (and quite frankly made the seris popular again wit dat goated story) says ppl are projecting to much of there emotions on kratos hes not suppose to be this emotional his character was already established all he needed was a slight change not a rewrite on his whole character.

One thing I love about the story of the game, is Kratos carring Faye's ashes because I think it's a simbolic think that remind me about Kratos carring his family ashes in his skin.

1:07:25 doing side quests is fun but you don't have to do them all in one episode lol, you can always do them at any point in the story , and even after you finish the story

Jormungandr: Son of Angrboda and Loki. One of three cursed children born of the union between the aforementioned pair. Thrown into the deepest oceans by Odin out of fear that he would change his fate. Called the world serpent since he wraps around the world causing earthquakes when he shifts.
And arguably the coolest thing in the Norse GOW games.

During the events of Ragnarok, Atreus and Angrboda put a giant's soul into a snake. This - by technicality - birthed the serpent. During the final battle of Asgard, the serpent was hit so hard he went into the past. Then like 100 or 150 years later, Atreus officially meets his 'son'.

Jormungandr is from the future. Basically during Ragnarok he gets sent to the past when he is hit by Thor's hammer splintering Yggdrasil sending him to a time before his birth. That's why he hates Thor so much.

There is a theory I read on the internet that says that the World Serpent says something like: "I know you, Ghost of Sparta, Find Mimir". If you focus enough you can hear it.

If you didn't know, Jörmungandr's siblings is the giant wolf Fenrir(basically Sif from DS1, minus the sword) and Hel, who is the norse goddess of death. Idk why, but I fricking love this trio lol.
The side missions make this game more complete. I love all of them. You know what else I love? That Black Sabbath Paranoid shirt! :D 🤘🤘

This has to be my favorite version of Jormungundyr(world serpent). The fact that they made him actually speak and in ancient Norse language too is just incredible. Also happy 40K man!!

I platinumed this game a couple months ago. Very doable. Nothing is really missable. If you're thorough and keep your eyes open, shouldn't need too much cleanup. There is a bit of a post-game grind. Two challenge realms, a series of optional bosses, and then just collectibles. I played on give me a balanced experience and didn't find any of them too challenging. I wasn't a big fan of how higher difficulties seemed to only make everything spongier, so I stayed with balanced. One of the post-game realms can be real grindy, but if you look up a good strat, basically prepare yourself as best you can with armor upgrades and such, it's not too long, It went by faster than I was expecting.
The abilties have descriptions you can read them to know what buttons you have to press. For the shield strike after the parry you just have to press L1 again after parrying.

I have platinumed both gow 2018 and ragnarok. These games make it relatively straightforward to get the platinum trophy because the map clearly outlines all the tasks required to complete each area. And there are some very good optional boss fights in the endgame.
So i'm down to watch you platinum the game. GOW 2018 took me like 50 hours to platinum on 'give me a challenge' difficulty.

I wanted to write this on the previous video but the difference between the difficulties is basically how much the skills and upgrades feel useful.
For example in both give me a story or give me balanced you can barely notice the difference however in the other two getting one skill is game changing.
So obviously the more you progress and explore the easier the game becomes.
For me personally as a souls player I changed it to give me a challenge cuz I wasn’t dying at all on give me balanced.
Then did new game plus with give me god of war

The side quests are a huge part of both games, especially in the sequel.

I love the side quests in this game, they have some of the most beautiful areas. Highly recommended.
Some side quests in this game are totally worth to do them. There're a lot of lore and loot and many additional bosses, including the most challenging ones
