Thank you for a delightful video. My mother and I "visited" Blickling estate virtually from Scotland -- and your video was a great bonus. My mum has had a stab at the translation of the monument to Elizabeth Gurdon -
Elizabeth had both father John Gordon Deas(? A surname or something totally different) and (unreadable) mother only child of Brampton de Letton (?) (unreadable) founder. Both graceful posture and beautiful shape, lauded. In death (short?) life both ended and approved of. Died year 1582, aged 17. Memorial placed by Edward Clere soldier (?)
Your time and work on producing this video helped make our trip very enjoyable.

Thank you that is so lovely to hear that you enjoyed it, and that you both visited us virtually together from Scotland, and did a translation for us.

Absolutely enjoyable visit. When I was in England last, I stopped at the churches and antiques stores in each city I visited. History from 1532 is a big deal when you come from the States. I have enjoyed each video you have posted no matter the subject Thank you for your artists eye

7:55 i believe it says her dad's name, that she was his only child, that she died at a young age, the date and (i can't really tell) that this memorial was build to celebrate her.

I tried to research her and hit a blank. She was 17 and a visitor to the Hall. The memorial was given by the Hall owner, but the relationship is not documented.

@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 ok hahaha i'm got a little to excited about this lady. first i made a mistake in the translation, it says she HAD one only child not that she WAS one. also found something about the man who's possibly her father en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Gurdon_(died_1623)
