Tbh, I can understand why obito became a villain because of how he lost rin. It wasn't just losing your crush but to him, rin's death was hell. She was obito's light. It's really painful losing someone you love, it can make you crazy.

She had a childhood crush on Kakashi, but he only thought of her as a friend. However Obito is the one who develops romantic feelings for Rin, when he “died”, he had Kakashi promise him he would protect Rin (which he failed to do), which is one of the reasons he became a bad guy. However, Obito meets Rin in heaven and tells him that she was watching him. If she “loved” Kakashi, then she should’ve said that she was watching over both of them. Remember that just because Rin has a childhood crush on Kakashi doesn’t mean she’ll end up with him. Most likely she would’ve ended up with Obito since they knew each other more than the knew Kakashi.

If Obito, Rin, and Kakashi had all survived and lived happily ever after without any problems, Rin prolly would end up with Kakashi. I mean if you notice how Kishimoto writes romance in Naruto - the girl always gets the guy she likes.
Best examples:
Sakura likes Sasuke. Sasuke doesn't like her. Sakura ends up with Sasuke.
Hinata likes Naruto. Naruto likes Sakura. Hinata ends up with Naruto.

Cee Unreal Rin watched Obito for like 20 years and in the end she didn’t wait for Kakashi even. So I think she did love Obito. Kishimoto wrote that remember. Also, Tsunade never liked jiraiya as a childhood crush yet she was about to accept his love. It’s not the same situation.

In wattpad there's a story for obito from a new chance to change his life and his fate, and in that story obito fight one of the 7 swords of kirigakure and I thought dude this obito with just one eye, could fight and defeat the 7 swords of the mist so, imagine this obito against them it could be really epic,
I see people blaming Obito for all the stuff he's done but not Madara, Itachi or even Pain who did awful things like manipulating a child, causing Rin's death to manipulate Obito, traumatizing your brother and causing him to be rogue, killing your own blood, and killing Jiraiya! What makes Itachi, Madara, or Pain any different from Obito?
I wish instead of boruto, we can see how the world if obito didn't go with Madara plan....
