- Ramin Karimloo performing live on BBC Songs of Praise (19.08.2012) singing 'Bring Him Home' from the musical 'Les Misérables' in which he played the role of Jean Valjean. Star of musicals such as 'Phantom of the Opera', 'Love Never Dies', 'Miss Saigon' and 'Les Miserables'.
We lost our son this past week at 34 weeks. Born sleeping. I cant stop listening to Ramin sing this song. Music can hurt and heal at the same time.
I am so sorry to read this. Take care of yourself. Music is so powerful. Love to you x
@@LoopyLoo11 thank you friend. It has been 7 months and the healing continues.
But I have listened to this song innumerable times in the shower. The tears flow, but they are helpful. Ramin’s voice is beautiful. And so is this song. And so is my son, Luke.
@@jansanxj Luke is a lovely name. Take care x
I met Ramin last year when he was playing Erik in Love Never Dies. One of the lovliest people i've ever met, he was so nice. So sincere. Seemed genuinly delighted that a few people waited at the stage door for him.
I just discovered him a few months ago thanks to POTO 25 and now I can't get enough! I so, so hope I can see him live someday when this covid nightmare is over!
I saw him live in Toronto. Best performance ever.
I'm not crying. I've just been cutting onions, that's all.
Have heard hundreds of versions of this song - this particular performance has to be the very very best.
Ramin's high notes have something extraordinary that I can't quite explain but it's amazing
That’s something is called ‘magic’ lol 😂
In his high notes using chest, it’s called “the horn” and he’s so good at it
Unreal. He is otherworldly.
God on high
Hear my prayer
In my need
You have always been there
He is young
He's afraid
Let him rest
Heaven blessed.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.
He's like the son I might have known
If God had granted me a son.
The summers die
One by one
How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone.
Bring him peace
Bring him joy
He is young
He is only a boy
You can take
You can give
Let him be
Let him live
If I die, let me die
Let him live
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.
The glint in his eyes and the emotion in his voice... God bless this man!
He owns this song. Just perfection.
To wasn't sure about Ramin as Vel Jean but oh my dear lord I think I just died and went to heaven .... Pretty sure Raim is THE Angel Of Music .. Drear God on heaven
Dear Broadway Fanatic,
I am obsessed with Les Mis because I saw the movie. Since then I have seen both the 10th and 25th anniversary concerts, read the original book, and seen the musical on stage. Have you?
Just be greatful that a new generation is coming to love the things you do so they don't die out. New fans are what keep amazing things like this alive.
Sincerely, A Teen Fan
This man has the voice of an Angel.
Or rather angels have the voice of Ramin.
Can I say as a teen that Ramin idol for singing, I absolutely adore all his music and would do anything to meet him in real life! And yes I am a guy into musical theatre and the amazement that is Ramin! But alas, I live in Australia and he has no plans to come visit here :'(
May Ramin Karimloo never stop singing. *le sigh*
Love his voice. Amazing vocalist.
As far as the Ramin or alfi question I'm about 300%ramin
The guy's Ramin Karimloo. You're welcome. Sincerely, 18-year-old Les Mis fan who happened to love the musical long before the movie came out.
I saw les miz last friday on broadway, it was amazing. The theater gave him a standing ovation. If someone can do an encore during a play he would have done it.
I'm a teenage boy, who has grown up around Les Miserables. What's wrong with new people listening to Les Mis? This show wouldn't still be going if new people didn't come and watch it. 28 years of new people watching and listening to this music has kept it going. A younger generation listening to Les Mis is a miracle, because it's old and opinionated people like you that keep it to your generation. I'm glad Cameron Makintosh isn't as bitter as you.
I just died a thousand tiny deaths from the brilliance that is Ramin Karimloo
No no no no no this is my dream! Actually this is the dream of most of us
I could listen to Ramin sing all day!
Ramin Karimloo he will always be one of the best!
My wife and I just got home from seeing him perform on saturday 9-13-14.
In short, he was utterly perfect in the show, especially this number.
The crowd was stunned at his brilliance.
I love the way he holds his breathtaking vibrato down to the last moment! The last "bring him home" sends shivers down my spine every time, not to mention the rest of the song :)
For me Alfie and Ramin's versions are the best.
Ramin has the voice of god!!!!!
16 year old heterosexual male...#fangirling...Ramin is without a doubt one of my favorite singers
I had the fortune to hear him live last Christams..I am still moved! Best Christmas gift by far:)
A beautiful version; the control in his voice is superb. What more can I say. He is attractive as well! After seeing him in Phantom 25 year special I am sold on him he was spectacular.
I'm a huge Ramin fan and there's no need to lash out because people don't like him, if its really bad then sure, maybe but not for no reason but this is one of the best versions I have ever heard
Such a gifted voice!!! Saw him in Les Miz last May and he was outstanding! For me the best Valjean ever!
I don't think I'll ever able to see him live as I'd be a drooling fool.
My dream is coming true and I don't know how I'm gonna react. Probably cry and just lose it
Hell he turns me into a drooling fool just watching the 25th Anniversary Phantom of the Opera DVD! Even under the mask, and makeup, and wigs, he is sexy as all hell in that role. He's done the impossible and tied Colm Wilkinson as my favourite Phantom, *and* melted my panties into a bigger puddle than Peter Joback did in the same role.
I think if I saw him in Les Miz I'd be bawling from start to finish.
Me too!! ❤️
Ramin is my Angel of Music...
It doesn't matter when you discovered Les Mis, how many actors you have heard of, how obscure your favourite performers are or if you've read the book or not, if you love Les Mis, you are a Les Mis fan. I personally think it's great that the movie attracted a lot of hype because it means that more people can discover the brilliant story and music of Les Mis.
I saw him tonight in les mis. I STILL have goosebumps. I'd been waiting years to finally hear him live and honestly it was one of the most amazing experiences
omg, !! I envy you, D:
he's in les miz now? for how long? u know?
he's in les mis until feb 2nd although he may go back home sooner
Fabricio Sakai After Toronto, I believe he will be playing Jean Valjean on Broadway
Dallas Jokic Yep! We get him next. I have tickts for March 19!
José Genuino He is in Broadway now. I saw him last week. He is incredibly talented. This song in particular- breathtaking!
A local lad for me he was raised in Peterborough Ont and he comes back every year for a concert in the park by the lake Love him.. Thanks
Ramin is the perfect blend of a classically trained singer and a rock star
How can so much wonderfulness be inside one person? Wow Ramim you are so...ahh, I can't even....
I have no words. I couldn't find anyone singing like this, God bless him... ... *-*
He is an amazing singer I don't know why people my age won't listen to stuff as amazing as this they don't know what their missing !!!! I love this song and I love him
Omg that’s the most beautiful version I’ve ever herd x
Glad to say Ramin is performing in the Les Miserables broadway version in Toronto as Jean Valjean. I can't wait to watch it!
I just love everything about Ramin...his emotion, his voice....ughhh
Oh...And I almost forgot, this man is Ramin Karimloo, and in my book nobody will ever top his Enjolras.
THE MOST PERFECT VOICE IN THE WORLD
six and a half years ago - thank you BBC - two of my musical favourites: Songs of Praise AND Ramin Karimloo 🙏🙏🙏
What a singer!! Incredible quality on his voice! And those high notes are amazing!
Ramin is a gem of Les Mis just like Colm Wilkinson or Lea Salonga. This is a masterful performance. I am so excited to see him in Toronto!
I'm 14
I've heard of Ramin, and OMG IT'S JESUS COME AGAIN IN THE FORM OF SONG!!
You’re grown now🥺
I love how Ramin takes the song and really makes it personal to him and sings it with his own personal style without changing the song. I think he is absolutely fantastic.
so beautiful voice... like an angel singing
An Angel of Music. Sorry I had to
amazing voice and handsome as heck. Ramin is the best
No falsetto, all natural voice. Astounding.
Last part of it is very resonated falsetto
This will never get old, forget alfie boe BEAUTIFUL,RAMIN KARIMLOO MARRY ME!!!!...even though you have a wife and two sons..awk
Im a teen and I can't stop listening to this man and many like him (if there is anyone like this spectacular man)
FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE
Ramin is really my favorite singer of all time. His voice is so beautiful and natural! I fell in love with him in the 25th of Les Miserables and then the 25th of Phantom blew my mind! Now he is going to (or has already) play Jean Valjean in Canada. Lucky Canada.
Love the simple guitar piano backup. Love his head voice. Equally good as Colm Wilkerson and Alfie Boe. What an amazing song.
Goosebumps at his soul-stirring voice, the look in his eyes, that incredible echo after his last tender note...
Is it bad that I cried when I found out he's Valjean in Toronto? haha Soooo excited to see it!
Ramin is being Valjean in the new Broadway cast!!!! Sooooo excited right now!!!!!
I can not express how much I love this.
How can so much magic come out from one man's vocal chords?
His singing voice is absolutely beautiful.
Dear elistist who thinks they are better then everyone else
I became a fan of Les Mis after the movie. I now own that and the 25th anniversary on DVD, have seen the 10th annivesary online and listen to different soundtracks like all the time.
Sincerely, teenage girl
P.S. I bet someone made a similar comment to people who loved the two special anniversary editions.
You could give this man any role and he'd knock all competition dead...
Damnnn what a vocalist.
True vocals. This is how to sing, and notice, if you will, no autotune.
Each time he sings a song, he makes it special as if he'd never sung it before. This is beautiful.
I love that little crack in his voice before he hits his big notes! Thats why all of his renditions are so unique!
He did very good. Ramin is such a talented man! One of the best I've ever seen especially in the roles of Enjolras, Marius and Valjean.
This...... Is one of the most beautiful things Ive ever seen. :,( Ramin is just purely amazing.
He will forever be the best Phantom, and now, to go along with that, he's the best Valjean
Ramin Karimloo=perfection. In every performance he always does an amazing job. I remember the first time I heard him sing I was in awe. There is no one like him. Just phenomenal
He is amazing, his vocals are stunning
I agree completely. I'm definitely not a teenager, but I am in a similar boat as you. In my case, I only watched Les Mis because Aaron Tveit (now starring in USA's Graceland) was in the movie. Like you, I fell in love with it, bought it and the 25th anniversary special, watched the 10th online, etc. The Les Mis movie opened my eyes to the world of musicals and theater. My dream is to go to New York and see a show on Broadway one day.
This guy knows just about every part of Les Miserables doesn't he?
even out of character the emotion he puts and has into his singing is breath taking and soo beautiful
after this performance i really think he might be the greatest male singer ever. i mean i dare you to try and find someone who can perform a song so often but still invoke the same amount of passion each time. his voice is simply perfect
Exactly! And some of us have been fans way before the movie.
The fact that I just listened to this about ten times on repeat and it brought fresh tears to my eyes each time is a testimony not only to the power of the music and the song itself, but to Ramin's wonderful voice and the emotion he infuses into it. It was truly beautiful.
I'm 16, but I'm a HUGE Les Mis and Phantom fan. Ramin Karimloo is my absolute idol and I'm a big fan of John Owen-Jones, Sierra Boggess, Colm Wilkinson, etc. When Colm appeared in the movie as the bishop, I nearly had a heart attack. Even though I'm young, I've gone back and seen some great performances and I'm very experience with both musicals.
His voice was so POWERFUL! It was so perfect for my ears!
Love You RAMIN!!!
I saw Ramin as Valjean in London a year or so ago and he was freaking awesome.
I know a lot of people felt that Ramin was too young to play the role of Valjean, but going by what little I've seen of his performance (this included) and his general ability to be amazing in everything, I'm pretty sure he did a wonderful job.
I don't think being attractive and being a sensitive singer are mutually exclusive. I saw him peform this live at the Queens twice, and both times myself and plenty of others were moved to tears by his performance. Not only his performance of this song, but of the role as a whole. It was sensitive, intelligent and beautifully performed.
One of my absolute favorite songs he has ever sung. Simply beautiful. -3
I'm a teenager :) haha, but I definitely agree with your point, it's a crime that people far less talented than Ramin are more well known amongst most people.
Ramin's voice is so beautiful and SO unique! He's not just another great baritone. He's got something more :)
Magnificent voice.
having had the immense pleasure of meeting Ramin a few times, his voice is even more beautiful. this song never fails to bring a tear to the eye. people should hear this man! this is what real music sounds like. truly astounding, the emotion, the rawness. acoustic at its best.
Perfect delivery as is everything I have heard him do. NOW THAT'S TALENT!!!!!
it's opening in September and I am so excited to see such a talented man perform in person. Literally counting down the days
Ramin has been casted as Jean Valjean in Toronto. So excited
wow!!!!! a new les mis legend is born! i adore les mis and ive watched several JVJs but he is just something else. wow
My god....his voice is simply amazing.
Cannot wait to see him as jean valjean in les mis broadway in NYC.... :-). Completely out of this world vocally!!!
Hopefully I can see him in Toronto playing Valjean! Go Ramin!!!
