I would like to see a video on expanding past the first A section , expanding your piece into a B section to a C section maybe even a D section and back to the end of a full piece.
... And me.... It's great to see this highly useful content, but not many places do you get to see the development of the theme. Would bé really helpful as I suspect quite a few of us have difficulties with this
As someone else posted below, I would also really appreciate a video focusing on reverb and which reverbs (lengths and amounts) for different sections. Also, WHICH LIBRARY for the WOODWIND RUNS in this video? Game changer having pre-made runs!
Can you do a video on how to compose an action scene with suspenseful pauses in the middle? (Like test drive from httyd) I have trouble with the little "in betweens" in a song
Dear Marc, as you asked for a good topic for next weeks video. Maybe this could be about reverb. From a small chamber to a big and huge one used in trailers. How to get the right reverb for the right topic, emotion, style. And also how to mix them properly without making it too cluttering and muddy. Keep it up! you are awesome!
Hello Marc, love your vids amd energy! If I could have a suggestion for another video, I would like to see your take on blending ethnic instruments including drums with an orchestra. Thanks! Take care
Hi Mark, can you explain more about P.R.O music, copyright, and in general about registering songs when making a film, music for commercials, and things like that? thank you very much, and I really appreciate your work!
Marc, as weird as it sounds could you do a video on how to properly use Marcatos? Also, what about layering spicatto under legato for libraries that may not have it included (I have a lot of OT libraries). I struggle to understand Marcatos in context of using them in a composition.
I was really hearing the French horns come in the second half to support the melody and lift it, but that's just me. Haha but wonderful stuff. I always suffer converting piano sketches to full orchestrations so this was a wonderful video.
Hello, I would like to ask you for advice, currently I have the section berlin strings bundle, cinematic studio strings, pacific strings, spitfire chamber, only strings. My question is, would it be worth buying the view strings to make layers? I look for feeling and romanticism in the strings.
Gracias!
...and can you mention how you use the midi console you have in front of you... sometimes you use 2 sliders for note pitch but one is always lower than the other, and today you use three sliders... why? Thanks.
Will definitely do a more in depth video on that. In the meantime... this one may help :) ruclips.net/video/jmRL0n_eKMY/видео.html&ab_channel=MarcJovani-CinematicComposing
How do you get the dynamics like that; I have seen it in so many videos; but don't know how. Example; I took my faders to assign them, but I assigned them to my playhead accidentally.... it's horrible. It's so horrible.
btw, I have for a DAW Logic Pro, and CSS. So, happy happy to see CSS here! Your strings sound so lovely! How do you work with the delay? Do you pre-set the delay before you start recording? (Especially the cello's...) or do you just let them naturally be a slight bit behind the piano, naturally, and touch nothing?
Some times. Some parts (ostinatos and things like this...)... But I don't quantize at a 100%... I usually quantize at 60% I don't generally quantize legatos and long notes...

I was about to leave the same comment, but @shanebullard7995 put it more succinctly then I would have. Great job as always Marc.
yeah me too!

Sounds great. Thanks for the demo.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS!!!!!!
Nice work, Marc! I particularly found how you use the woodwinds insightful.

Marc, you are awesome 👍. I don't know how to read music or know zero theory, but I can feel you musically. Very inspiring.
There aren't many videos about rhythm in orchestral music. How to use orchestra like rhytmic device, or how to use rhytm in background texture.

How do I finde the right chords for the feeling I want?
Greetings from Brazil! I'd like to know where/how may I get this book/paper that you use as a reference for orchestration (????)
Is called SKETCH, from Chartwell Books. It's very useful...
Hi Marc. Thanks for your answer! A@@CinematicComposing
How about a video that covers software and hardware for beginner composers to start with?
Will definitely do a more in depth video on that. In the meantime... this one may help :)

Do you quantise all the parts as you go, afterwards, or not at all?

Doing this style of video but with a horror/supernatural genre of scoring
Marc, this freebe from teh description just do not work. I submited my credit card and receive nothing (the page shows 404 error) :/
Sorry about that Kamil 🙏🏼 We are working on it
@@CinematicComposing Great!
What did you use for the sub percussion?
I mean the sub boom
@@ferdmusic8 any cinematic boom will do. Lots of free sample packs online
@@TakeHit0 I know but I especially loved this one and I think that the modwheel feature is great
It sounds exactly like a soundtrack from Victoria 3

I’m sorry but that is not a good way to teach orchestration
It's a very good beginning.
I've just become a witness of LotR ost creation)))))
