For the first time in my life I saw someone with this knot out in real life. I’ve seen probably thousands of men wearing ties, but that was the 1st Eldridge knot. If you take the time to learn this people will absolutely notice it! Such a great looking knot.
I used this knot at my wedding. Wife picked it the day before. Took me 8 times to get it ABSOLUTELY perfect. But when i did, the complexity complimented her beautiful dress perfectly. Thank you
ttitanb EXACTYL!! I LOVE this knot and got a ton of complements on it when I did it with the ONE extra long tie I have. But most ties aren’t that long so I got like 20 more I can’t do it with
Hint for those trying - do not look into the mirror while doing it, just follow the video, you'll make it on your first try :) Afterwards, adjust the steps in the mirror to make it look good! Great knot and great video :)
I felt like he spoke as if he directly follow his directions of right and left. Meaning we didn't need to stand in front of a mirror, only do while watching the video. Nice!
Awesome video. Making this knot work can be a challenge when it comes to tie length but I eventually got it to work. I got nothing but compliments on my knot today. I appreciate the time you guys took into creating this. Very professionally done and very helpful.
I got it on my second try! Some tips: leave a LOT of room for the skinny part of the tie. Play the video in a slower speed. Pay attention to which side is showing after each step, the seam side or the front smooth flat side. Good luck!!
Love this! Took me a couple tries in the mirror, but now I can do it on both myself and others without even needing it! I had to use a thinner/silky tie so as to have enough material, but as long as I remember to always pull to the right (mostly) I’m good!!
Thank you! Fantastic video. Beacuse it is mirrored, one can simply play it in slow motion and see all moves like in mirror. Thanks to this I finished this tie in one only attempt. And yes take longer tie, narrow end shoud be palm-lenght above the knee.
Learnt the trinity knot from pictures and have been using it for years, finally thought it was time to move on to the eldritch. Pictures however didn't quite get the lesson across. Thanks for the great tutorial
I’m TERRIBLE with visual-spatial stuff but like to tie my ties because it looks nice and helps improve my visual-spatial intelligence. I somehow got this right on the first try, and Cthulu was summoned and told me it looked nice. Thank you. One of my coworkers is terrible at tying a basic knot and won’t let me help him. Imma show this baby off today and maybe he’ll finally take pride in his ties.
Thank you very much ! This is a wonderful style ... 😂 my dad made me do it for the entire men team for the family wedding ! ❤ great design ! Cool Presenter !
I’ve never even own a suit let alone to have some one showed me to to tie a knot anf I came across this video and I have to say it’s very easy to follow and do only took me 35 time to get it down lmao 😂 but I was the talk of my tie knotting skill little they know I help from you guys 😂😂 thanks again
DAYUMM!! Even though at the end i had very little tie to tuck back,I got it right on the first try!!!! I can't fathom how difficult it would've been for the guy to learn and try it on backwards!
Remember just do it and hope for the best or pick another knot im doing this for homecoming and lord im trying to learn it im happy i started a week before
Thanks for all this. Nice videos, nice variety of knots. I have attempted doing these in front of only the monitor but it is much easy with a mirror around. Also, if I might add, a slight pause between steps to give us newbies a bit more time to assimilate would be great as well, especially with the more intricate knots such as the Eldredge. Keep it up.
Always wanted to do this knot but I never could follow written instructions. I like this knot bc I'm shorter and most ties cover my belt. Perfect tutorial. Was able to follow along at the model's pace. Looks awesome! Thanks
Do not get caught at a DUI check point with this knot, or you will "walk the walk" (or tell the cop your five year old son tied it for you) All these videos are super helpful.
I'd reccomend against it. This tie knot looks highly unprofessional, and I've never seen it used in a serious circumstance. Stick with the four in hand or Windsor knot. I work in the banking industry btw
I work as a door man currently and decided I wanted to do something a little extra, I'm psyched to have a dope looking tie knot on my next shift. For a little extra help pinch the wide end of tie in hand like how it looks in the end photo, have it a few cm short of how long you want it and tie the thin end smooth and tight.
Thank you so much. Not sure if any of my ties will be long enough but appreciate it. I’ll get working on it!! Fun hobby and challenge to learn the knots
i ended up getting this to work for a wedding. ( no one commented on my cool tie knot) anyway you need to tie is close to your neck with out a gap like a standard knot
This works with a standard tie... i just had the tip of the wide end just about navel height. It's just practice. Couple steps repeat themselves so it's actually not that difficult. Thanks for the guide!
wedding had finished by the time i tied that right
@Alexander Supertramp clever hahaha
lmaoo
Alexander Supertramp that’s a good one
Lmao
@@HarpreetSingh_4 I get it. They tied the knot before you did 😆
Me: I better go to bed early tonight
Also me: watching a video on how to tie a tie in a way I will never tie my tie
Try it sometime. Got tons of compliments on the trinity knot when I wore it out
wow. this is exactly me right now.
HAHA THIS LITERALLY ME RN
Literally me at this very moment.
I did that with the trinity knot for a few days. Tried it 2x and am like a pro now. This will be my next challenge.
Side Tip: Make sure your tie is twice the size of an ordinary tie.
LMAO YES!
Yaa😅😅
Or if you are not tall, it is a great way of shortening an ordinary tie...just saying as a 5'4''person.
Mine worked just fine.
yeah, I spent about 30min before I figured that part out...
For the first time in my life I saw someone with this knot out in real life. I’ve seen probably thousands of men wearing ties, but that was the 1st Eldridge knot. If you take the time to learn this people will absolutely notice it!
Such a great looking knot.
Yea, if you've got a tie that's 4 miles long.
Be the difference you want to see. Maybe one day others will follow, make ties great again.
Some one really sat there and came up with this knot one day, how tf
If you needing to wearing a tie there's a good chance that you has time to do shit like this
And origami exists 😅
I used this knot at my wedding. Wife picked it the day before. Took me 8 times to get it ABSOLUTELY perfect. But when i did, the complexity complimented her beautiful dress perfectly. Thank you
Complemented, not complimented. Your tie can't speak
And you shouldn't speak@@yadusolparterre
Thank you! My sister’s wedding is Saturday and I’ve tried dozens of tutorials on how to do this. This one is concise and explained very simply.
You are so welcome!
Its really helpful
how did it go, hope you had fun time
Been following this video in all weddings for the last 4 years, and I’m starting to feel I will memorize it someday!
Yeahhhh... I ran out of tie..
FUCKIN’ SAME
Meee tooo. I guess the fat end of the tie can be nipple length. Maybe the knot might distract them?
Hawken Parker this comments gold
Same
Same lmao
Well I don't have a 18meter tie
ttitanb EXACTYL!! I LOVE this knot and got a ton of complements on it when I did it with the ONE extra long tie I have. But most ties aren’t that long so I got like 20 more I can’t do it with
Ahhahahahahahah
I think the point is, first you decide how long you want your wide part of the tie to be....then wrap the other end completely on the knot...;)
Make one then. It’s not all that hard. And standard tailoring skills are something really valuable to have. So I can only recommend you give it a try.
I'm literally congratulating myself over a four-in-hand knot
Nah fam. 4 in hand knots are normie. Windsor is the way to go for a basic knot
@@ninjadoughnut4837 I'm not taking advice from someone who unironically says normie.
@@tayk.t.523 ong
Just learned the basic tie today and now this. Learning this by heart wasnt as difficult as I thought it be. I like it !

Great knot and great video :)
YES! If we ever remake these videos we will be sure to have a mirrored and non-mirrored version. Thanks so much for the compliment!
You are a godsend!
I ended up with a knot.
I felt like he spoke as if he directly follow his directions of right and left. Meaning we didn't need to stand in front of a mirror, only do while watching the video. Nice!
Yeah...my first time I looked at the mirror while doing it. It doesn't help using a mirror! Just trust the dude in the video and do what he does.
Follow this and tied this knot in less than 10mins. And repeated multiple times after. Turned out perfect for my graduation 🎓
Awesome video. Making this knot work can be a challenge when it comes to tie length but I eventually got it to work. I got nothing but compliments on my knot today. I appreciate the time you guys took into creating this. Very professionally done and very helpful.

That's actually the most valid tip you can give somebody.
Good one
Tying this for prom. Thx for tutorial. Turned out awesome.

This is such a beautiful knot, thanks for the clear steps👍👍
I have my 8th grade recognition tonight and after 3-4 tries got this tie knot right. I am so excited
So glad it helped!
I learned this for my high school graduation, thank you
Brooo. Got it right on the 1st try. Love your tutorial man.

Same, bummer

Watching this so I can tie my Ravenclaw tie :) First time finding a tutorial that was very clearly demonstrated.

Wow this is helpful, I gotta go ask some boys about this!
I need a mile long tie for this. Mrbeast! We need you
Great knot, took me a while with my practice tie but now I can do it with my thicker and shorter ties as well. Very nice.
Actually it was pretty straightforward! Thank you for the amazing run down 🤙
Easily the best instructional tie video. Got it done by following along.
Really appreciate the compliment, Jeffrey. Cheers!
I actually did it in one try and I'm going to show off in my school 🤧🤧 thanks alot
