I believe words will never be able to do justice with Col Sher Muhammad. All the facets of his life were complete in their own right .... be it his human side , his mentoring ability, as an affectionate commander, as a professional engineer, as a caring friend, as a respectful subordinate , as a graceful soldier, as a understanding father & brother .... for many whose lives he touched and shaped he more if a messiah ..... he will forever remain irreplaceable ! No one ever said, retired, whenever he was referred by those who had served with him, because they always felt he was still amoung them in spirit. He was man who far outlived his rank. There are very few moments in life when one is utterly speech less , Indeed like - when ones parents depart, when ones loved ones are in need, His leaving for the eternal heavens is a loss for many of us on earth like no other and with far greater impact. He was a blessing , a shady tree, a man with no doubts and an exceptional clarity. superior to any comparable. A magnanimous personality who gave a piece of himself to whoever he interacted with an impression never to be forgotten; proving that even in this day and age - the more you give , the more you get. Personally, the best days I had in my office in Islamabad were when he used to visit. Listening to his mesmerizing explanations of life’s philosophy, enjoying music, him educating us the meanings of Iqbal’s shairy, hours of debates on Islam, history , his desire to make a difference for a better Pakistan... remarkable .... irreplaceable! The teachings he gave had an ever lasting impact. I have never heard or felt the commradory which his Battalion had under him. An unbeatable machine , A ready to take on the world spirit , A Never say Die attitude , Everyone operating at their optimum , With firm belief of wining and doing their best. He was a phenomenon with an intoxicating personality spreading the spirit of Pride and Honour. It still amazes me that how can one person have such a lasting impact on so many people. In a world full of materialistic attractions, where the currency is no more ones good will but financial wealth, he was an Emperor with the unmeasurable wealth - The real one - “Good Will and respect” One could literally jump in the fire if he said so , knowing well it can harm but having the faith , he will never let that happen. All will second me on stating this fact that the aura he carried , the sincerity he gave to all around him , the wisdom he had and so generously shared , the love and affection which oozed from him, the warmth of emotions and purity of thoughts for his peers, friends, subordinates is a very rare sight, maybe the only one .... one would see in life. In one , almost night long discussion he once concluded with the best ever possible advise “ Leave it to ALLAH”.It took many years to understand what he meant... Once Omar left, he was broken, his smiles were gone, the agony was unbearable for not only him but for all his friends and who ever knew him even from a distance, but he once again showed how to live with it and took so much pride in the other children and it will be only true to say , he loved and respected like no other. His respect and mannerism for Bhabi , his worthy better half , ensured we all respected her as a wonderful lady she is herself. One lives for decades but blessed are those who happen to meet and see a human like him. Countless stories , Countless generosity , Countless affection , A One Man Who is Truly Irreplaceable! The graveyards are filled with those who thought they were irreplaceable But now there lies , truly, An irreplaceable, Col Sher Muhammad. May ALLAH give him the blessing of rising honorably in the company of ALLAH’s most loved one on the day of judgement InshaALLAH. I cannot control the tears writing these lines , I Love him so much , he took a piece of me with him. The man, The Boss , The Father , The Friend , The Mentor, The Professional, The Engineer, The Friend, An ideal Subordinate , The Soldier , The brother, The messiah he was. Irreplaceable ! Irreplaceable!

While briefing biographies you should give information about contribution of personalities you are discussing. The present generation is interested in works done by the personalities for the nation and legacies or yardsticks left by them for the nation.
