- “We Love You” by The Rolling Stones
Composers: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards
Lyrics:
We don't care if you only love we
We don't care if you only love we
We love you
We love you and we hope
That you will love we too
We love they, we love they, and
We want you to love they too
Ah
We don't care if you hound we and
Lock the doors around
We’ve locked it in our minds
‘Cause we love you
We love you
You will never win we
Your uniforms don't fit we
You’re dead and then we're in
'Cause we love you
We love you, of course we do
I love you, I love you
And I hope that you are groovin’ too
We love you, we do, we love you, we do
Your health!

The Beatles and The Stones together. One of the most extraordinary tracks of the 1960s, recorded a few weeks after "All You Need is Love" at the same studio of Olympic where the Beatles had begun that song, and which essentially was only lost as the huge hit it should have been because it wasn't on the final version of the Stones' album of that year.
interesting. i didnt even knew it was a joint venture
@@moritzbrinkmann6064
It wasn't a joint venture?
Paul & John just added some backing vocals!
I have a feeling that Pete Townshend was also involved getting it finished & released.
. All to do with the Redlands drugs bust & trial!
Love them both. The two greatest bands of all time -- and they weren't rivals. They were mates.
@@davidbowman4259 completely agree man. The two greatest, but the Beatles are my personal favourite. What a time in the History of music, so much experimentation and groundbreaking music in the 60s.
copycats
I didnt even know this song existed until a few minutes ago. I'm floored by it. It's so easy to hear John and Paul in the track and it's so sweet. Love it so much
Stop obsessing about beatles myth, as it's obvious to me, being from Kensington and Chelsea in London. That Michael Jagger is singing in his Cockney London accent.
The moptops voices are virtually indistinct.
Stones music for a brief period usurped beatles.
Best wishes

@@steffanhoffmann obsessing? I literally said I only just found this song a few minutes before posting...
@@chumon1992 Uunderstood. There's no need to use literally.
Recently I asked a question, towards my USA friend this:
Why do Americans say literally so much?
Answer?
Oftentimes people try to infer a word's meaning from its context, rather than just consult a dictionary. So, it's likely that some people hear "literally" (e.g., "The tornado literally demolished the house") and think it's an intensifier, e.g., very, extremely, really, etc. Then they assume it's okay to utter such nonsense as "I asked my boss for a raise, and he literally exploded."
Thank you.
@Steffan Hoffmann okay..but I used it correctly here as I did say that. So. Yeah. But either way whatever. It doesn't really matter.
@@chumon1992 It matters to an Englishman 😂 (joking). Bye-bye have a lovely day. 👍
The coolest of the Stones, RIP Charlie Watts
He and Bill Wyman both
@@theoutlawjeezywales6217 💯Yeah Bill never got a mention in bbc doc series: "my life as a rolling stone"
"We love you" closed the psychedelic season for The Stones. Ruby Tuesday, She's a rainbow and We love you remain as their great psychedelic masterpieces.
Nope. More internet misinformation,. "We Love You" was the flip side of the single "Dandelion" released in the summer of 1967. The Stones's Psychedelic period continued. The LP "Their Satanic Majesties ...." was released in December 1967. The singles, "She's a Rainbow" and "In Another Land" were on the radio and on the charts well into 1968. Later, still " Child of the Moon", the B side of "Jumpin Jack Flash" which charted in the Summer of 1968, was quite psychedelic. Why do posters here feel the need to make sweeping false statements?
@@Themanwhocameback2 because they love you
@@Themanwhocameback2it was a flip side in the USA , not in the U.K. where we love you was the A side.
@@paulbangash4317 Yes! I grew up in NYC. For the American market, some 240 million people, it was the A side.
No Child of the Moon closed the psychedelic season for The Rolling Stones
Amazing track. One of their most underrated.
It was very popular in its day. Just because it's not big now does not mean it was underrated when it was released in like 1966. You don't think a Stones/Beatles song was popular with kids at the time?
Underrated ffs
The eternal Stones rip Brian.
R.I.P Charlie watts, This is for me, the best drummer work that has ever played with the band
Check out My Obsession! Excellent drumming by Charlie!

I love that piano intro and that mellotron raw, a well done artwork by Brian Jones and Nicky Hopkins!! both are in better life

Nicky Hopkins. Shout him out he belongs in the Rock and Roll hall of fame stupid insipid institution that it is
Printed as 7" Single together with Dandelion at August 18th 1967! 53 Years ago and still is a Fantastic Song with these Sarcastic and Intelligent Lyrics! My Best Stones of Brian Jones Times! RIP
So wonderfully cynical!!

I remember back in the day listening to the AM radio all day for a chance to hear this song .
It blew my young mind. It still does.
The Stones, we love ❤️ you 🎉🎉. You introduced us to a type of music 🎶 🎵 that was different from the rest. That's what makes your music 🎶 🎵 worth listening 🎶 to cause of the style and sound.
I love this channel. It’s made me realize that I need to dig deeper on the Stones. They’re more than the songs you hear on the radio all the time.

One of the best song ever. Amazing homage to their fans and terrific sound.
Not to their fans, it's an ironical answer for being arrested on drugs.
You're right 👍
@@Methilde , while true it is about their drug bust, it is ALSO a big "Thanks" to their fans and to the editorial staff of the London Times for their support during the whole ordeal. I love how the sounds of the cell door slamming and the boots climbing the stairs begins the song. Just brilliant!
@@Fubeman Could be also to their fans. Wat's funny when you look at the crowd when they were relaxed there's also older generations in the street. Great establishment's mistake :)

But failed miserably ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Purchased the 45 RPM record (it's around here somewhere...) in '68..my first year in college. Almost wore the damn thing out playing it so often. 'Dandelion' was on the flip (B) side. Headphones made it a special treat.
This brings me back, I'm one of the only living human beings that likes this era of the Stones, I had His Satanic Majesty's Request when it was new with the original psychedelic cover when I was about 14.
I also bought that album when it was released. I was 13.
The Stones were adventurous with Brian, not anymore without him...
This is also my favorite era of the stones!
No, you are not alone.
Me too.
This is my favourite Stones song. Today.
I remember when this song would come on the jukebox in the MRH Snack Bar at U of I Champaign/Urbana in 68 or 69... everyone (including me) went wild over it. And then it never showed up on an album. I looked for it for many many years and finally got a copy of it on a greatest hits collection (I think). See... great things are worth waiting for.
Excellent song.🇬🇧💋💋I love the piano 🎹 and the voices..👼.RIP 🙏 Brian.
Often compared to "All You Need is Love" but I think it owes at least a rhythmic debt to "Tomorrow Never Knows". Psychedelic masterpieces all.
Great lead vocal by Jagger.
As usual!!!!
This song has John Lennon and Paul McCartney on backing vocals!
I know that you know this fact, so, c'mon, pay attention to the song and stop to read the comments!
I didn't know that. Thank you for sharing. The song is awesome and I learned something new today.,✌
@@margaretstoner4701 Great!!!
Awesome
I always knew this fact because it was revealed when the single was released (I was still 12 yrs old). In those days, no musicians from competing record labels could perform on other labels, unless they were uncredited, or were credited with pseudonyms to hide their true identities. Which is why Eric Clapton couldn't be credited for playing lead guitar on the White Album's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", among countless other such examples of "hidden talent" in very famous popular recordings.
@@ottomarcos Oh, what a great fact! Thank you!
I just spoked that above cos always there someone who don't know those facts or something else!
(Sorry, but English is not my first language)
Would love the Stones to play this as a opener - Amazing song which has not dated one bit.
Beatles Stones Incrível Sonzera ❤😊
Every now and then, I just have to play some of the stones psychedelics..... Soothes this golden oldie's soul! Listening with headphones makes me realise how many little nuances I missed, even when playing these records loud.
Demonic piano riff - Awesome!!
Love you Brian. RIP
thank you so much for all the happiness and joy through out the years Rolling Stones
Always been one of my favourite songs from the stones.
Should have been on “their satanic majesty’s request album”
Rolling Stones Records, Promos and Bootlegs I’m going to make a playlist with “we love you” and “dandelion” as the songs to end side 1
Rolling Stones Records, Promos and Bootlegs on the album “their satanic majesty’s request album”
Yes John I think the same! If We Love You and Dandelion would have been included in the Satanic Majesties LP perhaps instead of the last song of Side A that it's only "Sounds" (called Sing this all together see what happens) it would have been the Best LP of All Times! With a Fantastic and Unbelieveable work of Brian Jones in a lot of Instruments! RIP
@Rolling Stones Records, Promos and Bootlegs Thank you! I'm listening the Stones since I was a little child I have All their Records and I like specially the Brian Jones era! The Stones were Always in my life!
Like Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane should have been on Pepper, but "you can´t always get what you want"
Seeing so many Brian comments while the video has only been up for literally 5 minutes. I love it and the song. Rest in peace Brian
Yes Sara every Stones Fan loves this Song Printed at August 18th 1967 53 Years ago! There were very Difficult and Hard Times for the Stones specially with Brian Jones at Jail! That's the reason of the Lyrics! BJ RIP
Brian Harrison The song was not written specifically for or about Brian. It was written by Mick and Keith as a way of saying thank you to the fans for sticking with them while they were in jail.
@@BigSky1 Yes Big Sky but if you remember Mick and Keith went out of Jail very soon but Brian stayed more time until he was released alone! He was very affected for this!
Brian Harrison You are correct that being incarcerated greatly affected Brian and he became somewhat a victim after the ordeal and was never the same person again. However, you are incorrect that Brian spent any more time in jail than Mick and Keith. All 3 were freed on bail after spending only one (1) night in prison. Mick in Brixton and Brian and Keith in Wormwood Scrubs.
@@BigSky1 I was confused about Brian because he was in jail many times at 67 and 68 and I eemembee he was the laat Stone to be in Prison but you're mistaken about Mick and Keith they were 1 month in jail from July 1st 1967 until July 31st when they were released. The London Times said "Who Breaks a Butterfly with a Wheel?"
Lyrics:
We don't care if you only love we
We don't care if you only love we
We love you, we love you, and we hope
That you will love we too
We love they, we love they, and
We want you to love they too
Ah
We don't care if you hound we and
Love is all around we
Love can't get our minds off
We love you, we love you
You will never win we
Your uniforms don't fit we
We forget the place we're in
'Cause we love you
We love you, of course, we do
I love you, I love you
And I hope that you are grooving too
We love you, we do, we love you, we do
Ken Karabin ‘And I hope that you are groovin’ too’ Not, won’t prove wrong too.
@@BigSky1 I appreciate it, bruh
Wish they would play this one live. Stones fans would go crazy!
You read my mind, I fully agree!!!❤
Terrific song from a great band! FAB video too!! Gotta love a bit of The Stones.
Brian is the Lord of the Stones. 🙏😇
And I can't stop , the Feeling we Love You ! 💕💕💕 Rolling Stones 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 I can't ! 😍😍😍😍
Sounds like something George Harrison would write. Like "It's All Too Much".
He ripped that from the Mersey's Sorrow. This is all original.
@@steveconn No, he didn't. He quoted one line from "Sorrow" as a tribute.
Or the lyrics have similar allusion to I Me Mine.
@@steveconn this is actually a spoof on The Beatles song All You Need Is Love. The Stones were always copying The Beatles and were always a step behind them in everything.

Nicky Hopkins on piano! ♥ you Mr H you belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Charlies' drumming on this song reminds me of Ringo's drumming on Rain. Tremendously creative work by both.
There's photos of Paul drumming too, I think he may have helped out on some percussion elements. Unless the photos were just of them messing around.
Fantastic work
@@a_bored_english_guy I'd still love to hear it if the tapes exist. A random weird jam would be great. Maybe if the Stones ever release more outtakes from the early years.

The Rolling Beatles!
This song is SO wicked, so brilliant. The Stones were a real force of nature.
TERRIFIC AND CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED SONG!
This was their response to being locked up for minor drug charges...great sound and the lyrics say it all.
Enfim: monstros.
Tô totalmente de acordo!
The last part is so trippy...😊🙃
The Stones manager Andrew Oldham, had said he was in the studio with the Stones and they were at a low point, they were being harassed all the time by the British press and establishment, they were having trouble with this song and they kept trying to record it, when John and Paul show up at the studio and pretty much took charge of the recording of this song. oldham said they got on a microphone together and worked out the arrangement of the song on the spot ,the speed and pace was not unnoticed by Mick and Keith.
PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT THE BEST OF THE BEST GROUP IN THE WORLD
That was trippy and Super Cool❣✌💞🌿💯🔥
I love this song🤣❤️

Wow never heard this sing or knew that Lennon & McCartney hooked up with the Stones like this! Very cool.......
Either Mick or Keith must really dislike this since its pretty much unavailable on physical media. But it'ss one of my favorite Stones songs. Everyone is killin it, especially Charlie
This is classic Beatles ...... by The Stones! Samashingly Brilliant
It's their spoof on All You Need Is Love. Truth.
All you need is love is boring.

We love you (The Beatles)
We love you.... golden age of Rock and Roll.
We love you des Rolling- stones : simplement psychédélique .
Butterfly on a wheel. ? Comes to mind. P.S. Don't forget the Rolling Stones did a lot of the backing vocals on the Beatles songs too you know, Yours Cliff
Wonderful song I used to listen on Radio Caroline., in 1967........ With Dandelion, reminding me of Summer of Love. I was 17 years old.....! We Love You, Rolling Stones. You did not deserve to go to jail....! On February 1967, Mick Jagger and Keith Richard were arrested with Brian Jones because they had drug found in their place. That's a Thank you song for all their fans who supported them when they were in jail.
The ending of this really reminds me of the ending in "Its All Too Much".
Muy buena canción y con Lennon y macartney genial 👍😃
The unquestionably timeless song aside - who doesn't like the Stones and the Beatles TOGETHER - your graphics on this one are absolutely amazing! I'm a big fan of your style generally but this video really takes the cake...cheers and well done!

Ok. Not even the pandemic nor the world crashing and burning has really dug into my consciousness. I am dead inside by nature. BUT THIS HAS MELTED MY BRAIN.
