I love making embroidered pillowcases for gifts. Just finished a set to give as a wedding gift to our grand-daughter. At least I know the gift will be useable and never a duplicate! Thanks for sharing this video. Blessings to you all!!
Thanks Deb. My business partner and I just made a purchase of pillowcases and plan to do something pretty but couldn't figure out what. After seeing your video I realized that we are looking at the wrong designs. The light stitch designs look the best. Less is more on a pillowcase. Thanks for another great tutorial...........Angie, Co Owner, A&M StitchCraft
+Angela Flynn It's so true, Angela. Percale is fussy! The lighter the better. I didn't mention this in the video - but if your heart is set on using a more complex design, it can be embroidered onto fabric then appliqued to the percale. But if I'm embroidering right onto percale, I get the best results with light designs.
+Cynthia Farris Templates are printouts of designs, so I print them with embroidery software. I have a topic on the HELP page that goes into more detail: www.emblibrary.com/EL/help.aspx?page=help2whatisatemplate
Very informative video, thank you! Quick Question: I am looking for a machine that is capable of automated embroidering on pillows, do you have any models you would like to suggest? I am looking to embroider text specifically.
Hi Kevin, many embroidery machines come pre-loaded with fonts and alphabets. We don't recommend specific brands or machines as they are all so different and each person has their own preferences. I would do some research to see what works best for you.
