The 1935 recordings were all of public concerts - and nothing was issued at the time, although the recordings did find their way on to CD. I particularly remember an amazing Enigma Variations and a Brahms 4. The transfers, however, left something to be desired. 1937 saw the beginning of dedicated recording sessions in Queen's Hall. There were some attempts to record life performances but nothing was issued at the time.
