One of the worst decisions in Naruto was to kill off Jirayia and to kill him off so early in Shippuden. He didn’t even survive half of Naruto Shippuden. He died in like episode 129 and there is 500 episodes of Shippuden.
This will be an off-topic idea,but what if Naruto had died when Kabuto severed his heart. Basically what if Tsunade hadn't been able to save Naruto and he did die from his injury.

Jiraiya might have taken on some of Naruto's Hokage duties on occasions to allow Naruto to spend time with his family. Not on the regular, but on special occasions that would allow Naruto to keep his promises to Boruto & Himawari. Boruto might still have some resentment during the pre movie part of the show and the movie itself, but would know that Naruto would be there when it really mattered. Above all, Himawari's birthday would not be ruined by the destruction of the shadow clone. Jiraiya would also be a grandfather role to Naruto's kids, and possibly be training Boruto personally (and Himawari in the future if she wants to). Because of this, Boruto has a better grasp on his abilities, being allround better than he is in the show. And because Boruto now has a personal trainer and a somewhat better relationship with his father, he would not resort to cheating during the chunin exams. Instead he would prove to his dad that he was the better student under Jiraiya. Of course, this means a harder time dealing with foes, but there would be well earned victories. Jiraiya would also pick up on Boruto's unique rasengan much earlier and help him develop it. Because of Boruto's lack of special amps (at that point) like sage mode or tailed beast mode, Jiraiya may also teach Boruto Minato's signature jutsu, the Flying Raijin, in hopes that the boy will one day master it to the degree Minato once did. It would be Boruto's trump card during the Chunin exams, but considering he does not yet have the reflexes to react with the jutsu, it would be hard for him to control it. He would use it much more proficiently post movie however. Beyond that, Jiraiya's presence would more or less just be a pillar for Naruto and his family but events play out more or less the same.

the way danzo could die is that during the war when they were ambushed 2 people had to be used as a decoy for team tobirama to escape and both tobirama and danzo sacrificed them selfs to die or he could have died in a random battle
What If Danzo failed to steal any eyes from Shisui? What if he got both? Danzo with kotoamatsukami and Susano sounds like a hellish what if. He'd have even more eyes around his body so he could spam izanagi far longer as he spams kotoamatsukami on literally any Uchiha to compel them to hand over their eyes.
Jiraiya would be a advisor for Naruto and a very good one at that. He would have also passed on some of his summoning jutsu to a few of the top Shinobi. I see him teaching at the academy also.

It's so sad when you think that Naruto's father was killed trying to save him just like James Potter. And it's also sad that Jiraiya died saving Naruto just like Sirius Black.
I don't believe jiraya could die in the 2nd fight with pain. He has intel on pain's abilities and sage mode on top of it. He should do as good as naruto in the fight, and even if he can't, he is definetly powerful enough to drag the battle until naruto arrived.
What if jiraiya accepted the offer as hokage (After konoha crush) What if naruto was a prodigy and sasuke was dumber (Personalities stay the same) I think jiraiya woulda taught boruto while sasuke was away and boruto would be with sasuke when he was here. Maybe teaching him the rasengan earlier on.

Jiraiya would not become hokage instead of Kakashi. He had already turned down the position 3 times and did not want the job. But he and Tsunade would finally be able to admit their true feelings towards each other and would end up getting married.
Jiraya death was necessary from Story Perspective. By killing Jiraya Kishimoto showed just how powerful Akastuki leader was. Without the death of Jiraya Naruto's growth would have been difficult to imagine. Without Jiraya we wouldn't have got iconic Naruto's entry scene.
I am still dreaming up ways for Jiraiya to return. Don't believe he would have need to look for inspiration...Tsunade would provide all the inspiration Jiraiya would need for his books. And also they accept Naruto and Hinata's children as their grandchildren - their life together ...awesome.
