    Thank you for the invitation to check out your Oregon section of the PCT videos. I am now watching these. Do you remember the approximate date you entered into Oregon? Thank you, Tanya

      You’re welcome Tanya. I crossed the California/Oregon border on August 2, 2020. I took a double zero in Ashland, August 3 & 4. 😁

    Another really fine video. It is relaxing with the music and the video footage---I just lean back in my chair--it is NICE! Looking forward to your future videos as well.

    Beautifully done, Rev. Nice editing. I especially like how you (somehow) include yourself hiking , tenting from a distance. The nature shots add a lot, especially the hummingbird. I am more for having met you and am spending the weekend sharing Trail Magic. "After a day’s walk, everything has twice its usual value."

      Thank you Annette. It takes some time to edit the videos but I love doing it for those who are interested.

      Hi Karen. Not bad but I would still bring a mosquito head net and perhaps some Deet. 😀

    I feel lucky that I’ve not gotten hit by poison oak on my 1787 miles on the PCT so far

      It was a loooooong state. I was filming the flower and the humming bird just came right into the shot.

    Nothing to it, but to do it. I like that motto and encouragement. Wow! A humming bird. Well done on hiking the length of California and 1700 miles. Doug and Sue great trail angels. On the PCT you see so much kindness shown to strangers. Blessings.

      The kindness of strangers on the PCT was overwhelming. I still stay in touch with many fellow hikers and Trail Angel to this day.

    Another awesome video. Great shot of the Ana Hummingbird. We don’t have those here, just the Ruby Throated. They’re beautiful! Is there a spot up the trail where I could send you a small package, and if so, what sort of things could I contribute to your hike in it? I know weight is important, because you have to carry it, but would love to send a care package! ❤️❤️

      Rhonda Brumitt Rhonda... let me get back with you on that and figure out where would be the best place to send a package. Thanks for being so thoughtful.

      I’ll be on the lookout for things I think might work, but you should know that I will NEVER look at a tortilla and peanut butter the same again. 😂😂

    What kind of pot do you use to cook with? I am trying to determine if something like the Toaks 750 mL would be a good size?

    • @TheHikingRev
      @TheHikingRev  4 года назад

      Currently I am not using a stove or carrying a pot. I was “cold soaking” but now I am just doing “no cook.” But I would highly recommend the Toaks 750L pot. Anything larger is overkill.

      @@TheHikingRev I've cold soaked before but I have not heard the term no cook, what's the difference?

    • @TheHikingRev
      @TheHikingRev  4 года назад +2

      Scott... I just eat stuff like summer sausage, cheese, dry cereal, beef sticks, energy bars, anything that you don’t have to add water to.
