- Did I just make the world's first waffle lamp?? i hope so. Although there's probably no award for that.
This was such a fun epoxy resin project! It took quite a long time, but I learned a lot and thankful to finally get this idea out of my head. What should I turn into a lamp next?

Next time you can add a touch of yellow polymer clay into the translucent clay to get a better colour.
Or maybe a thin layer of matte yellow nail polish.

You just cover it in resin? you don't use a stabilizing resin that is specifically for bread and food stuffs? Your confidence is awe inspiring! I would love to see these in a year or two. see how they held up! great project!

The end result turned out great, although I'm not sure why you didn't cover the butter with "syrup" as well... I think it would've made the butter look more melty... but I'm not sure why you used such a big stirring stick for the resin... I think a smaller one would've worked much better... LoL

This came out so well, LOL, when you were positing something translucent I was screaming GLASS (a medium I work in 😅) - glad you went your own way and taught me something new!

Hi@@butchrodgers9559 ! I'm a healthcare professional. Most epoxy resins contain volatile organic compounds. While temporary contact may not cause a severe response (often times just contact dermatitis, which is still extremely uncomfortable), prolonged or repeated contact can actually cause an allergic reaction. It's reccomended to use gloves and proper ventilation so you don't develop an allergy since these can cause severe complications that can be life threatening. I suggest reading "Epoxy Resin Systems" from CDPH. Kindness costs nothing! Stay safe.
