50 year old male here. You’re in for the ride of your life. Their music is literally life changing. Recently took my daughter to see them in concert for our 6th time. Probably the best show yet. Anyway, looking forward for more TØP reactions. Keep up the great work
its ridiculous how talented Tyler is... the rapping, singing, screaming, writing, guitar, bass, uke, piano, producing, etc... and the duo isn't complete without Josh being the best drummer ever. I really don't think anyone compares and they were this unique for what 15 years now?
I am 56 and my son took me to my first TOP concert in Chicago. Since then, I researched all the lore. I get it! They saved my son! His depression was deep when he found their music. I am glad i have this new connection with my son. Thanks for actually listening, not just hearing the music!
*in my opinion - one of the best bands in history of music. And ive been to listening a lot of music for many years, just the way he creates music, impressive*
If you're an artist you will love and appreciate these guys - they write and produce all of their own music still - they are the best live performers ive ever seen - they merge a bunch of different genres together and there's a complex storyline behind their music that ties all their albums together You're in for quite the ride
Welcome to the best music experience you'll ever have. They don't have one bad song and you truly need to do every one they've made. Then the sessions. Then their live stuff... it's all original. His live performances are insane and he is constantly changing them, the way their sung, the way they're presented, the way there meshed... Absorb it all. They are amazing and put such attention to detail into every single thing they do.
Much of Tyler’s lyrics are based in mental health. The video is an extension of the lyrics. When Tyler is alone and “just Tyler” he battles with his depression. But when he goes on stage he becomes a performer, someone different than he actually is (shaved head is a different person). On stage he pretends everything is good (wears a mask). And while performing he is happy and his fans give him a lot of energy. But when the show is over and he takes off the mask. He’s just Tyler again who struggles with his mental health. The genius part of the song is that he is able to take sad and depressing music (when he’s not performing) and combine it with a crazy upbeat section (when he’s performing) and it all feels so natural What you will find with top is their ability to mix genres and dynamics within their songs
@@TociReacts I think you need to start off slow. There is a huge storyline/lore to explore that spans 4 albums. So I would suggest doing some easy songs not tied to the lore to start with. I suggest “Lane Boy” next.
@@TociReacts great song. It would make sense to do that one next. Going through each album tells a story and you can see a clear progression in their production.
The hair is back to show that after the mask comes off and the distraction of the loud music is gone he's still the same nervous person from before - it also shows that it's a cycle going through these things
I genuinely think one of my favorite things is seeing other people discover tøp and how incredible they are. this song is my all time favorite and your reaction is great. i can’t wait to see the rest of your journey with these boys!!
This song- as well as the whole band- has strong symbolism around cycles. You will notice a trend of them in basically everything they do- mostly this is to show the struggle of addiction and fighting against it and then eventually relapsing back into it. The hair symbolism is showing that progress made- and then when you relapse all of that progress is gone (thus the hair being gone) many of their songs have this same theme but it isn’t despairing- it is hopeful. Tyler describes how you can fight against these things and that you get stronger. Breaking the cycle is the goal in his music. But he is very vulnerable with his audience telling about how often he has been sucked back into his own cycle and lost all of his progress. His songs also prove themselves just like the epic loud noisy drop of this song- you instantly forget about what he’s been telling you and get lost in the music- which makes the cycle back hit even harder at the end of the song when the chorus comes back and reminds you what he was trying to convey- not to get lost in the noise and to keep thinking- being to think is the be alive. Another fun fact to note is that when he is in the crowd with all of the fans at his lowest (his hair is shaved showing his progress is gone, and the mask is on) the crowd lifts him up- showing the importance of friends and others that can help you in those times at your lowest. The contrast of that is at the end of the video when he is alone and falls off the stage and nobody is there to support him and keep him up. Amazing song, amazing band. And amazing topics to explore and learn about! Can’t wait to see more
You are in for a TREAT, my friend! These guys are so in a league of their own, they've basically invented their own sports. There's no one like them, and I doubt there ever will be. I am so excited for you to discover more of their amazing catalog! If I could suggest where to go next, I would HIGHLY recommend "Ode To Sleep" (which is kind of a mini-documentary about them), Migraine, and Holding On To You. They're all from the same album as this song, and they're all fabulous!
subbed for the twenty one pilots adventure. 42 year old here who has been following them since almost their beginning and have loved every moment. There are no bad songs. Their catalog is EXTENSIVE and Tyler (the singer) is a lyrical genius who speaks in beautiful metaphors. Most of their songs revolve around depression, anxiety, mental health etc as both Tyler and the drummer Josh suffer from their own mental health issues. Hope you continue, each song is worth listening to and paying attention to the lyrics. I recommend Ode to Sleep like many others, Migraine, Holding on to You, Lane Boy, My Blood (cinematic mater piece), really any song lol.Happy to be here!
I know all my other HUGE TOP fans can relate, but watching somebody fall in love with them; is so exciting! These guys are truly musical legends and don’t get nearly enough credit in the music industry, but they don’t need it; because us fans will always praise them. Welcome to the journey and for your life to change. ❤🖤
55 male here. Just a casual (radio hits) fan for years, but recently dove deeper thanks to my 14 yo son. Took him and younger bro to their first concert this summer and loved it! You're right that it's a lot to try to parse the lyrics, the music production, and the videos (and the lore) all at once. You could almost justify separate reaction videos for each. I've become obsessed with their music without watching the videos intently (will do that soon). Keep up the reaction. Subscribed!
Fun fact: Tyler's Car Radio was actually stolen once. You should check out more from the Vessel Album, then get ready for the ride with Blurryface, Trench, Scaled and Icy and their latest Album, Clancy.
Fantastic reaction. Will definitely need to get those ears ready for some super deep lyrics. You're about to get flooded with recommendations, I'm sure. But my personal favorites are Migraine, Goner, and Neon gravestones.
Tyler’s crowd control is unmatched. I was in the room when he did another music video for RITN on Clancy tour and it’s just amazing how he can control an entire audience like that.
‘Car Radio‘ was also my first introduction to TØP and they got me with it. Really enjoyed your reaction! ✨ I suggest ’Holding on to you‘ next. Or ’Heavydirtysoul’. Something special are the live performances. Check out ‘Migraine - captured in the live room‘.
Any Twenty One Pilots reactions I am here for. AVOID the last x3 albums (Trench, Scaled and Icy, and Clancy), until you are ready to deep dive into the lore. I think you are going to love this journey!
Great reaction! They have a lot of songs with powerfull and deep messages like “neon gravestones”, but i think that the next song should be “holding on to you” its just amazing!
Just subscribed for more TOP reactions. Maybe start with more songs from Vessel to get familiar with them. But none of their albums will disappoint, it just got more lore related lately.
Yes to everything everybody is saying... and you've said it 6.35: "Deepness"... TOP is exactly that: layers and layers of sound, vocals, melodies, beats, visuals, simbolism, words, feelings, emotions, meanings... it's a journey, my friend... Brace yourself!!! these two are so talented!!! If you want to pay attention to every detail and feel at tne same time...you will get exhausted almost with everysong!! 😁...but well, that's why they are so great!! Welcome!!!👽💀💖🟦⬜🟦
@@TociReacts If you want to do kind of a deep dive into their music, they have a short playlist on their channel called "the story" consisting of music videos that follow the story they have been telling throughout the decade through their music. The songs work very well on their own too, and even if you don't want to dive deeper into the narrative i think those songs are a good representation of the band, since they are a blend of so many genres. One thing that is consistent is the lyricism, so if that's what you're into buckle up because their art is truly amazing.
@@TociReactsAnd of course, songs from the album "vessel", which this song was on. They are all amazing so you can't go wrong with twenty one pilots whatever direction you choose
@@TociReacts Also, I love when i see genuine reactions from people who actually listen to the lyrics and try to understand them. Keep it up, I'm sure more poeple will tune in!
And that's exactly how I got hooked by them like 8 years ago, with this exact song. They're amazing, and even more live, saw them a couple of times and they put an insane show. I'm here for the journey 🙌
Enjoyed your reaction! You are definitely in for a RIDE! My hubs and I are 50 and we’ve been to 5 concerts! Hands down best concerts we’ve EVER been to and we go to a lot! Tyler and Josh are extremely talented and you are about to be addicted to a new band Twenty One Pilots! subscribing in hopes to see more of your reactions to them. They just dropped a new album Clancy and there is a TON of lore going back to Blurryface album that tell a crazy story. Wow! I’ll just let other fans tell you where to start on this journey. Enjoy!
You will absolutely experience life change if you start exploring their music. I just saw them in Indy last week. The best concert I've ever been to hands down! I would suggest holding on to you and trees. Do both live at the Fox theater.
If going to sleep is the time when your thoughts take over, you’ll identify with Routines in the Night from their Clancy album too. Where ever you go next with your TØP journey, you’re in for some amazing moments.
As everyone else said, you're in for a treat. It's so fun to see people discover TØP and basically fall in love with them as they go through the journey.
Subbed not just because you’re reacting to TOP but because you’re clearly thinking about the lyrics and it was cool to see you start playing the piano along with it, versus just using TOP for likes. Great work and I can’t wait to see more.
I know we’re here to react to a person react to a band that we love. But you speak with your true processings of this music video and song that I love with such care. Visually showing the understanding, relating and awe that I once had when I first watched and heard this song. I greatly appreciate you for being the being that you are. This band and the music they create is my most favorite thing on this planet. Though their current style is not at all like this; I know you will but I hope you do enjoy the journey.
Tyler has said before that he tends to shave his head when he’s been in a bad place and he’s ready for a fresh start. The themes of mental health with them are 🤌🏼 He started rapping because he writes poetry and felt like it didn’t lend itself to being sung as well as rap. Tyler does the majority of everything. Josh is an amazing drummer to watch. They have worked with Paul Meany from Mute Math in recent productions. Get ready for an amazing ride! I discovered TØP through someone’s reaction earlier this year and I’ve jumped in head first. I’ve ingested all the music, the lore, old interviews, and I went to see them in September. They are the best I’ve ever seen live. Their entire catalog is amazing. The lore. Dude. Buckle up. 😂
You got yourself a subscriber my friend. Always super fun for musicians to discover these guys as they can peel back the extra layers just beyind how tight and versatile their sounds are. And they're super fun with youtube streams and interaction with fans and lore on albums, etc. haven't checked out reactions yet but the songs Stressed Out (which is the song that really made them big and got them a Grammy), Heathens (which was a massive song for an unmassive movie and on the heels of the Stressed out success) and Jumpsuit (which was the lead single off the follow up album to Blurryface which had Stressed out on it) are likely all songs you may have encountered with casual viewing. That's the tip of the iceberg. There's a glacier under the surface of amazing music, videos, lore, etc. Clancy is the latest album release and there's a video for every single track. Have fun!
This was so fun to watch! Thanks for checking them out. Everything is intentional and extremely well thought out with Tyler. His lyrics are so poetic and full of metaphors. I'd recommend spending some more time on the Vessel album before moving into their later albums. Ode to Sleep, Migraine or Holding on to You videos would all be great for your next one!
Just subbed for more TØP. These guys are something different, and their catalog is just fire. Zero misses. I would say try either Migraine or Ode to Sleep next.
Love the video! You could do other songs from Vessel (ode to sleep, migraine, holding on to you). And than go to next album, Blurryface. In Blurryface they start a decade of narrative albuns that is finishing this very year with last album Clancy!
OMG did I just found new channel with fresh top reactions?! I loved the video, please go down the rabbit hole! From my recommendations it would be: metaphorical lyrics: addict with a pen, migraine, redecorate emotional rollercoaster: cover of cancer, friend please vibes and exceptional music: fall away (live version with dr. Blum), heavydirtysoul (music video AND live from fox theatre) I also love whole Trench album, but it's best to do it later, when you first get introduced to their older stuff. The Trench album has a complicated stroryline with lots of symbolism, but besides that, the songs are just SOOOOOO damn good They truly invented their own genre that is a mix of everything:)) PS. I love that you try to understand the lyrics as well as technical side of music and overall vibes
I'm a self proclaimed twenty one pilots pro so here my suggestion. Fall away. It has a great beat amazing rap in great lyrics it shines with the beat Also Trapdoor a very philosophical type song and I feel you love it the lyrics are some of my favorite also songs like migrian cover the idea of self unaliveing if you want more suggestions I am at your service
Oh honey, you got a big storm coming. Dude, this is awesome. I literally only just discovered you and i really enjoyed seeing you strip down the elements and trying to get a grasp on everything. I warn you: this is a big rabbit hole, and i would LOVE to see you catch up on this life changing band. Subbed! Looking forward to your reactions to all their growth and most of all of the albums Trench (my favorite) and Clancy (latest). CANT WAITTT
I’d just like to point out the difference between the car radio music video and the routines in the night music video. In car radio everyone is doing their part and paying attention. In routines in the night music video, everyone has their phone in front of their face recording, and when some people put their phones down their eyes widened to see Tyler right there in real life, not in their phones. Listen I get it, you want to look back on these moments, but you should experience them too.
So here’s it explained his car radio was stolen in college and he deals with mental disorders including depression so it’s hard to him to be in silence without having violent thoughts and about the end the end of the video was taped before he shaved his hair
I'm late to this party but +1 who is delighted to find a smart reactor just discovering TOP! As a poet once said... Bless your ear holes while you're react-acting gobsmacked!
Honestly, you could go to any song of theirs from here. This band doesn’t miss. 'Ode to Sleep' will introduce you to the band, 'Migraine' and Lane Boy are bangers, and if you really want to go down the rabbit hole, do 'HeavyDirtySoul'. Its the beginning of an entire story told through multiple music videos.
Welcome to the best rabbit hole you’ll ever go down… Everything is lore. It’s amazing. Start with Heavydirtysoul, follow the storyline. ALSO- you HAVE to check out Live at Fox Theatre. Game changer.

Have fun!
Great reaction, can't wait for the next one! Ode to Sleep was a good shout
Ode to sleep reaction will be up tomorrow at 11am est!!!
@@TociReacts let's goooo, I appreciate the quick response to suggestions
Can you even imagine being at that concert?!?
🤣😆🙌
Ode to Sleep is definitely a good next one to do. Enjoy the rabbit hole, they are amazing.
Definately Holding on to you - one of the craziest songs ever: official video first and then concert version (Fox Theater)
I CAN'T WAIT to see you react to more TOP!!! The rabbithole is real :)
How did I miss this one?! I love Car Radio! Enjoy the journey!!
🙏❤️
This was so fun to watch! Thanks for checking them out. Everything is intentional and extremely well thought out with Tyler. His lyrics are so poetic and full of metaphors. I'd recommend spending some more time on the Vessel album before moving into their later albums. Ode to Sleep, Migraine or Holding on to You videos would all be great for your next one!
Thank you for watching !!!
Just subbed for more TØP. These guys are something different, and their catalog is just fire. Zero misses. I would say try either Migraine or Ode to Sleep next.
Tyler the lead singer has been labeled as a master lyricist
Oh yes!! I love these guys!!❤❤❤
so excited to watch this journey! i LOVE watching people fall in love with the bois
This is just the beginning 👍
Love the video! You could do other songs from Vessel (ode to sleep, migraine, holding on to you). And than go to next album, Blurryface. In Blurryface they start a decade of narrative albuns that is finishing this very year with last album Clancy!
Let’s go! Just subscribed, here for this journey!
Welcome aboard!!!
Oh goodness. Love them
OMG did I just found new channel with fresh top reactions?! I loved the video, please go down the rabbit hole! From my recommendations it would be:
metaphorical lyrics: addict with a pen, migraine, redecorate
emotional rollercoaster: cover of cancer, friend please
vibes and exceptional music: fall away (live version with dr. Blum), heavydirtysoul (music video AND live from fox theatre)
I also love whole Trench album, but it's best to do it later, when you first get introduced to their older stuff. The Trench album has a complicated stroryline with lots of symbolism, but besides that, the songs are just SOOOOOO damn good
They truly invented their own genre that is a mix of everything:))
PS. I love that you try to understand the lyrics as well as technical side of music and overall vibes
If you want to stay in Vessel, ode to sleep is a must
Knew you'd love them! great video cant wait for more twenty one pilots!
The cap is so funny because Tyler and Josh hate bananas🤣
Oh wow 😂😂❤️
I'm a self proclaimed twenty one pilots pro so here my suggestion.
Fall away. It has a great beat amazing rap in great lyrics it shines with the beat
Also Trapdoor a very philosophical type song and I feel you love it the lyrics are some of my favorite also songs like migrian cover the idea of self unaliveing if you want more suggestions I am at your service
CANT WAITTT
please continue with them!
Hey Smoky ✌🏻
@@Meow-Meow501 heyyy!
Ahh the video where it started it all🥹
I’d just like to point out the difference between the car radio music video and the routines in the night music video.
“It’s kinda like a scavenger hunt” oh buddy, let me introduce you to Blurryface, Trench, Scaled and Icy, and Clancy
Welcome to the best rabbit hole you’ll ever go down…
Everything is lore. It’s amazing. Start with Heavydirtysoul, follow the storyline.
ALSO- you HAVE to check out Live at Fox Theatre. Game changer.
Well done, and thought out ❤
Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

You didn’t miss anything, he has his hair back. Obviously it wash shot out of sequence, but it makes for a great moment towards the end of the vid
