As a retired chef of many years standing, good food like good wine is always a matter of taste.If you pay for it,then have it your way ! Burnt,raw,cooked in ditch water it's your choice and nobody should stick their nose in.Folk like wot they like and that's an end to it !!!
i remember the Berni Inn in Leicester...i used to have a prawn cocktail starter then Steak, chips, peas & mushrooms....it was a treat eating there back in the day 🙂

The only time you need to worry about bacteria is on minced meat as the bacteria on the outside of a piece of meat is then minced and mixed up. That’s why you don’t get rare burgers (in the uk at least)

As a member of the Norfolk Calamari Angling Club, I would just say that Calamari is out of season at the moment. Instead I go hunting for Saveloys in the Thetford Forest, this time of year !!!! 😆😆😆😆
I live not far from Norwich and my father in law said he used to get paid for killing Coypu when he was a child before they became extinct, he said they also used to do frogs on sticks where they would see how many frogs they could impale, they had some strange hobbies in Norfolk years ago so Calamari fishing on the Broads wouldn't surprise me at all, I think our local council are looking into stopping Witch burning in our village from the next year so tonight will probably be our last chance. I suppose all good things come to an end eventually.

On mobile phones the first one came out in the uk in 1985, that's 38 years ago, over 85 million phones are in use in the uk and we still haven't got a single network provider which covers the uk, whatever network you are on within a few miles of leaving any town or city the signal starts cutting in and out, sometimes you still can't get a signal in a city or town it's pathetic.
We have got HS2, our flagship project to the world which is a total fuck up massively over budget.
Now they are pushing us into having electric heat pumps and EV's, anyone who thinks our infrastructure will ever be good enough to make it work properly are living in a dream world.
Heat pumps and EV's will end up being a half arsed unfinished project where some people will get very rich while the majority of people buying them will be stuck with worthless pieces of junk not fit for purpose.

Oooh *JAPANESE TATAKI BEEF* which is a piece of (preferably) prime eye fillet but still really good with slightly lesser cuts, JUST seared on all the outside surfaces to kill off any nasties, thinly sliced against the grain, drizzled with A LITTLE ginger/green onion/soy sauce mix which gets patted (hence the 'TATAKI') into the splayed eye fillet - SO delicious and another twist on all the contentious issues raised by these two! If you like rare beef and Japanese food, try it - it's so easy, really delicious and a good way to really appreciate (and stretch) a fine bit of beef! Cheers from Oz!
had Squid caught in Croatia in 1986 and it was lovely on our plates at that time in the resort of Pula, beautiful place and people

Have been past that Beefeater a few times as we go to the Warner Leisure Hotels further up the road, there's a nudist beach nearby as well, don't know if there any charging points though. Listening to Geoff talking about seafood origins reminds me of a couple of years ago when the lorries were held up in Dover just before Christmas due to paperwork issues and the B word. The drivers/owners were worried the Scottish seafood they were carrying to export to Europe for their Christmas food would not get there in time.

As an avid sea angling participant and fan thats something i havnt heard about squid. I know alot of people who catch them some keep them personaly but only the odd one and some thorw them bavk. Beautiful creatures and great feeding too. Happy new year Lee and company.

I was told Beefeater chef wasn’t allowed to cook rare steak because they need to take them out of the fridge for a while beforehand which is verboten.
We stayed at the Premier Inn/Beefeater at Whitley Bay and the staff there were super also.

I caught calamari with a spear gun in the Norfolk Broads and served it with freshly pulled samfer lol.

I've not been to the Fox Borrow for a while but I was born and brought up in Lowestoft and spent half my life there. Now living in nearby Norwich!
All the fish in Lowestoft is locally caught and as fresh as you can get. Lowestoft still has a fishing industry but much of it was killed by the EU's Common Fisheries Policy. Now we've left the eu its starting to recover.
Good thing about the fries compared to the chunky chips is that there is a higher percentage that will be crispy. With chunky chips, a lot of it will be soft potato inside.
You Two look really happy that's the best part, you bounce off each other so well, its Magic, you've both had a good year here on You Tube, Congrats.

Loved this video mate. We have a Beefeater not far from us (The Plough, Stratford Rd, Shirley, Solihull) Geoff will know it as he's local to me. The best steak I've ever had is at Miller & Carter at Resorts World Birmingham which is basically at the back of my house. Absolutely beautiful. But my 2nd best I've had is actually at the Beeefeater I've mentioned above. Honestly mate, you need to come and try it. Their food is amazing amd steak always cooked to perfection.

I cut my food small so it gives the impression there is more on the plate. When I have a steak even when there is a one centimetre cube left to eat, I will cut it in half again.

🤣 As a Wooler lass born & raised, the word "fadge" has another meaning too among women of a certain age and the immature little boys who had yet to get just past the letter T in the alphabet! Oh how we giggled when our mams sent us to the bakery to pick up a fresh, warm fadge.
The best fadges were warm and moist on the inside, with a crusty outer surface that was always hard to chew on.😮
The best sausage sandwiches are the ones that come in a crusty fadge.
We use Beefeaters with our grandchildren and it's good food for the cost and you get plenty of offers where you get 30% off the mains or the kids eat free! Skinny chips are the best by the way!!! Not going to type that lot!!!
