ALLAH / GOD almighty bless you people amen. MASHALLAH Mary your son is sweet, loving and caring. I can feel that he loves and respect you a lot. Amazing gentleman.
Your story about your son is very similar to my son. My son was born in 1989. Back then it was difficult to obtain a diagnosis of his problems. He was diagnosed in the 6th grade with ADHD and dyslexia. He also spent time in Occupational Therapy where we learned various techniques to help him. He also went to tutoring for reading. I wish that I could have homeschooled him but working 1 full-time job and a part-time job just didn't work for me. I did have all 3 of my children in sports and music lessons. What a juggling act that was! With that said, you are fortunate Mary to have the ability and opportunity to help Ben become a fantastic young man. God bless you and your family.

I love hearing your story. I homeschooled my children as well. They are now 31 and 27. I can relate to so much you are saying. I used a classical Catholic curriculum. Mary, Benjamin looks and smiles like you. In my opinion, I love that you did this video and that he is engaged too. One of my favorite vegetables is Brussel sprouts as well. I,too, remember the steel box outside on the back porch for the milk bottles - the cream on the top! That egg man was so nice. Keep up your good job. You are awesome 🤗❤️

Your detailing of teaching Ben and finding him the support and teachers he needed to help with his dyslexia and dysgraphia are a powerful testament to your love and courage. He is absolutely delightful! All children can learn and a committed teacher will find the ways that fit their student(s). You two talking through your experiences meant a lot to me. I know there were times of frustration along the way; yet you two kept your story focused and objective. Ben is very blessed to have such loving parents!
Mary your son is just so personable. All he has been through it hasn't hindered his personality. You are very Blessed and you have done a awesome job raising him. Have a Blessed Day.
I was a homeschool mom too. My kids were special ed but they didn't know it. We had a blast. We used Alpha Omega curriculum and did lots of activities. I miss those days. Plus we did activities with other homeschool families too. They also went to brick and mortar high school. Then my daughter went on to college. My son was gifted with mechanics. Thanks Mary it was a pleasure to meet your son Ben. He's a Precious soul! Cute!
I love the rapport you have with your son, it's so refreshing to see a child that truly enjoys being with their parent. He's a delight just like his mother.
We are homeschool family. My son and daughter are now 30 and 33 years old. My son is also dyslexic. We did use some of Charlotte Mason's philosophy. I have also worked with Dr Mary Hood and you maybe familiar with her in the homeschooling circles. Your son is an extremely handsome young man and charming!
The personality of a home schooled child is totally different - that oozes with confidence backed with genuinety. Just can't beat that combination of the best education coming from their parents...called love.
True! I’ve been with my 2.5 years young daughter from the start (and hope/pray to able to continue to do so). Most kids in our area start nursery at a young age. My daughter differs so much from the other children personality wise: she’s super confident and even talks to grown ups w/o issues, is very communicative and has great social skills. It’s a day and night difference. Unfortunately I feel that most people brush it off to genetics or chance when I feel that it’s my love and dedication to her that make the difference.
It’s clear that you and your son have a great relationship and that you truly love each other. That is so awesome! I enjoyed listening to y’all chat. Btw, he’s a handsome young man.
You two bought tears to my eyes!! What beautiful people you are. Your relationship with your son reminds me of me and my son.....who also has no cavities at 28 years of age!! 😉
Wow! I thought I was the only one that went through the same exact thing with my son Cody. He was 10 when I was finally able to get the counciler to test him. I am a native of Texas. He has dysgraphia. My son was enrolled in welding at the trade school in the 10th grade and had all of his certifications by the time he graduated from high school. My son loves to read about all types of History.
Oh my, i cried at the end when Ben said “you always put me first” ❤️❤️. My son has special needs too and i and his educators give him what he needs to have a “normal” education. I’m very lucky to live downstate NY where school districts are excellent and provisions are made to accommodate his needs but i also stay on top of his schoolwork. Yes, Ben is so right. Parents have to advocate for their kids but so does the student. Don’t be afraid to speak up, tell them what you need and bust chops until you get it. This was a lovely heart to heart between Mary and her precious son ❤️
Mary Ben has so many of your features. He does smile just like you. I had to laugh at his jokes. He’s a precious young man. God bless y’all Mary. I hope y’all have a blessed New Year.
What a wonderful natural no holds bar conversation! Ben, you are a unique fella , so well mannered, very interesting. Not many like you in the world, (in my 59 yr old opinion). Mary, well done, sweet lady. Hope to see many more. Love from Birmingham, AL
My goodness!! What a charming young man Ben is. He is a great mix of you and your husband. His smile is just like yours, and he has his father’s polite speech and mannerisms. He’s complimentary of both your efforts to raise him, which is unheard of these days. So much entitlement, it seems. You two have turned out one great guy!! Such an interesting video. Love you guys! 🌺🌼🌹
Mary, you have such a have such a handsome, sweet and well rounded son. You and his dad have done a magnificent job raising him. This video will help so many out there that are searching for answers and encouragement. The mother son love between you is so obvious. I wish every parent had the kind of connection that you and Ben have. Thank you both for sharing your personal journey with all of us. Ben will go far in life because he has such a compassion to excel. You have been such a blessing to me and I know others too. Bless you and your sweet family always!
I totally agree with you nurseg12 and Wendy. Mary and her son are a delight. It feels so good when you see such a respectful, kind, empathetic, loving, caring and decent young man. Good morning Mary, just to let you know From my perspective you have a very lovely family your son is adorable, I understand about dyslexia because I experience it to even as a senior citizen,Let me rephrase that as a bald black platinum Senior citizen🤣😅😂 I like doing it it makes me laugh ! Your son is a very lovely person and you could tell how much you love his mom and dad and have nothing but the deepest respect and admiration towards his parents, and you can see how you raised him with dignity and respect ✊🏾 We do the best that we can we’re not perfect , Well we do our best takes patience commitment love and respect and once again a whole lot of patients and self love and unselfishness to raise a family. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us we love you.👩🏾🦲🥰😘👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Ben, you are such a rare gem! Mom and Dad have done such a wonderful job with you 😊. All that the three of you have accomplished is amazing, Ben, you are a son to be proud of on every level. I think that the confidence Ben displays to us all in this video proves the point that everything is possible if you have two loving, caring, nurturing parents to smooth the way for their child. Ben, when you call your mother a saint, and thank her for all she has done to help you, all I see is the love you share for each other! P. S. You are the spitting image of mom and dad together. Mom, he has your smile! Happy New Year, God Bless the three of you! Thank you for sharing your story 😊.
Hi Mary. Just wanted to let you know that you have raised such a brilliant sweet young man! You and your husband did such a great job being there for him and all the values that you instilled on him will be carried on to everyone around him. He will make a young lady a great husband some day and wherever he decides to take his life down the road will be fulfilled with hard earned pride in anything he does. God Bless!
You look so proud of your son. And rightfully so! Thank you for sharing his experiences on here. It's so interesting to see how a child raised on traditional food can turn out. Blessings to both of you :)
Wow. When I heard you say you were going to interview your husband and son I thought "no way could they be as nice as Mary".. well I watched your husband's video first, and then thought "well ok..but I bet the son isn't nearly as nice as his parents.". Now after watching this, I must say it's possible you have the nicest family on earth. I'm really impressed by this mature, respectful young man. You've done good Mary! ❤
So sweet.... he looks so bright and shiny and intelligent and kind. You did a great service to the planet Mary by raising such a conscious son. Good for you! I love you even more than I did before!
What a wonderful man you’ve raised! 2 of my sons have dyslexia and we have found a tutor who raised 3 dyslexic sons of her own and she’s so wonderful! A bonus gift from the Lord is that she’s a part time adoption social worker and my sons happen to be adopted, so she’s compassionate in all the right ways. You’re absolutely right that it makes a world of difference when you find the right helper!
So cute that he doesn't have a "vendetta" against yogurt. That would be kind of harsh. .....what a sweet interview. Love how the two you are clearly fond of each other dearly.
I homeschool 2 of our 4 kids and my better half is an injured vet. We listen to audiobooks together because of his TBI. He is very slow at reading and the only way he can enjoy a book is on audio. They're great tools for kids and adults
I have had the blessing to run into your videos while looking for ways to make Kefir. As I got stuck on your thoughtful, explanatory and helpful cooking videos, I also got to watch your interviews with wonderful son and husband! What truly inspirational and loving people you all are. I was brought to tears several times from the grief I feel for not having such a blessed and loving home and life like your family does. Many people on this earth do not have what you have in a loving family and home. I just wanted you to know that it is so good to see that real loving family and community still exist. Thanks for sharing both, your great traditional cooking, and you great loving examples! Bless you all!
Informative and precious. Your a sweet lady. You helped him grow knowing the reason he couldnt read wasnt his fault. The way he talks easily about his Dyslexia shows your a great Mom. Please when he is available continue these videos.
OMG Iove you even more Mary! The interaction between you both is so heartwarming and genuine. You're a wonderful mother, Ben is an awesome young man! 💖
I can’t thank you enough. I have been using your recipes making bread and sourdough pancakes. However this afternoon I spent my time enjoying you and your family. You all are wonderful people. So kind and loving. Thank you again for everything and GOD BLESS YOU ALL. 💕🙏🏼
I cued this up while I chopping veggies -- lots and lots of veggies for pizza toppings. Meanwhile my only came into the kitchen to feed the sourdough -- enough to make 4 pizzas tomorrow. I will have to listen to Mary and Ben later. My son is chatting away relating to Ben's adventures in homeschooling. Tried as he may he could not grasp reading until almost 13. We did loads and loads of audio books and educational videos. He has ADHD. He spent a lot time riding a stationary bike or jumping on a rebounder while watching an educational video in 20 minute increments. This is fun trip down memory lane.
It might of been such a wonderful time to have you as a mom Mary! Ben is soooo sweet and it's easy to see he's grown with love and strength from mom and dad 💖💐
Your son is so blessed to have you as a mother. I aspire to be like you! I homeschooled for two years and it was SO HARD! When I first started watching the video, I thought "oh yeah well she homeschooled one neurotypical child" and as soon as you said he was dyslexic, I saluted you, because my twins are special needs (ADHD and Autism) and it makes homeschooling that much harder! You are truly amazing and the interaction between you two speaks volumes of your amazing relationship you nourished with homeschooling (and good food!) pardon the pun lol
Loved watching this interaction between you two. I homeschooled 5 boys who are in their 20’s and early 30’s, and 4 of them can’t spare me 1 sentence most of the time. I wish we had the loving relationship you have. I failed at my mothering job but kudos to you sweet Mary. ❤️
You two ❤️ I can’t cope! I’m crying laughing at your stories and I wasn’t even there. Mary you did a GREAT JOB with this terrific young man. It was lovely meeting Ben again, he is a treasure 😇

I homeschooled two of my three children then they went to college and received bachelor's and one got a master's degree. We love Jesus.
Ben is very handsome and sure resembles you!!
Hi Alicia, Thank you so much!! You made his day!! Love, Mary
Wow!!! Mary!!! What a blessing your son is! You can see what an outstanding young man he is and you can see the tremendous love he has for his mama! Your husband and you did a fabulous job!
Thank you so much!
He smiles just like you. I homeschooled my boys too. Have a wonderful holiday season. Hi Ben.
Thank you! Happy New Year!! Love, Mary
@@plant-basedguy1900 that's so sweet but I'm not Mary dearheart. I hope she sees your message. Happy New Year.
@@aneshiadixon8762 Awe, thank you Aneshia. I, guess, I posted at the wrong place. Lol. There's a learning curve to all this technology for this older guy. Lol. Take care. ( I'll try to repost it.)
@@plant-basedguy1900 no worries. I'm not so young myself I get it. Lol
Thank you SO much for the kind words!! Love, Mary
Cute!
Thank you SO much!! And thank you for sharing your journey too! Love, Mary
We used Alpha Omega also. My kids even liked the Bible curriculum.
Growing up, I was that kid 😂 who never ate white bread , I had plain yoghurt, oatmeal 🧀 Brie cheese 😆 which was very unusual for my school in the 90s
I love the rapport you have with your son, it's so refreshing to see a child that truly enjoys being with their parent. He's a delight just like his mother.
This makes me emotional that u both are so sweet
We are homeschool family. My son and daughter are now 30 and 33 years old. My son is also dyslexic. We did use some of Charlotte Mason's philosophy. I have also worked with Dr Mary Hood and you maybe familiar with her in the homeschooling circles. Your son is an extremely handsome young man and charming!
Thank you so much for the kind words!! Love, Mary
OMG...HE LOOKS LIKE YOU MOM. HOW SWEET. HE HAS YOUR SWEET SMILE!!!! HI BEN!!!! WE LOVE MOMMA~~~~
Oh my Gosh!!! She glows....in the presence of her son....just beautiful
It’s obvious that this incredible young man was raised in a very loving and nurturing environment that all kids deserve.
This! ❤
I've fallen in love with this whole family. Someone pinch me. Simply cannot believe they are real. Beautiful!
Wow he's a smiler like his mom!!🦄🦄💖💖🙏🏿🙏🕊 he looks healthy n happy! He is a credit2u!!!
Hands down it is your love @@Golf2foto . And let people think what they want to think. It will take them another 100 years to wake up.
Benjamin is such a gem, a combination of your smile and your husbands mannerisms and voice tone. A lovely family.
😊 Thank you
I have a one year old son and I hope to raise him the same way as you. Ben is such a beautiful soul!
It’s clear that you and your son have a great relationship and that you truly love each other. That is so awesome! I enjoyed listening to y’all chat. Btw, he’s a handsome young man.
Thank you for sharing!! Your son Ben is SMART, SWEET, AND HANDSOME young man! You have blessed beautiful family!!
I missed my son . 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much!
Such an adorable young man! Mom and dad raised him right.
You two bought tears to my eyes!! What beautiful people you are. Your relationship with your son reminds me of me and my son.....who also has no cavities at 28 years of age!! 😉
Thank you! And love hearing about your son too!! Love, Mary
What an exceptional young man! For being in such a tiny percentile, your son has a much better vocabulary and skill in story telling than most people
The mother-son cuteness!
I cannot! 😩
Very well rounded young man 💕💕💕
Thank you SO much!!
How lucky is Ben to have you as his Mother! What a wonderful Teacher you are.
Hi Rachael, Thank you SO much for such kind words!! Love, Mary
You must be so proud, such a personable young man. Happy New Year!
Thank you SO much!! Love, Mary
Mary, This Beautiful Young Man is your spitting image! To grow up in a home of Love is such a Blessing. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!
Thank you so much!
Oh Melissa, thank you so much for sharing this!! Love, Mary❤️🤗❤️

What a perfect blend of fathers' brains and mother's extraverted personality I met this evening. ❤️

I love how you fought the system and got the help your son needs with grace, compassion, and humor. You raised a victor, not a victim!
Such a handsome young man!
Oh Christi! You made his day!!
Aww what a great son! You both seem so sweet. God bless you and keep up the great job! I love watching you
Thank you so much!
God Bless!
This is too cute! He has your winning smile. Handsome son!
You look so proud of your son. And rightfully so! Thank you for sharing his experiences on here. It's so interesting to see how a child raised on traditional food can turn out. Blessings to both of you :)
What a treat! Ben is absolutely lovely and his personality is just delightful!
The world would be a better place if there were more families like yours, thanks for sharing 🙏
He’s telling all your secrets, Mary. He’s awesome! Happy New Year!
Hi Brooke! LOL!! Thank you so much for the kind words. He's going to love hearing that you think he is awesome!! Love, Mary
What a remarkable young man (and parents too)
So sweet.... he looks so bright and shiny and intelligent and kind. You did a great service to the planet Mary by raising such a conscious son. Good for you! I love you even more than I did before!
Thank you so much!
Wow!! Your story is inspirational!! ❤️🤗❤️
This was so sweet as I have a 8 year old. He is just darling. Well done with parenting!
Thank you!
Aw, what a fantastic reward for many years of dedicated work-your son and you have such a wonderful bond....blessings
What a handsome young man Miss Mary❤️ you are a good mom. I home schooled my special needs child. My Son is now a grown man and a father of 2!
Hi Barbara! Wow - that is fantastic. Love, Mary
How true!! We love audio books! Love, Mary
Your son is so articulate and intelligent. Most important, he obviously adores you. What a beautiful relationship you have.
What a joyous personality Ben has. I love how intently he watches you. What a special bond you share.
Oh my goodness! Ben has just put a huge smile on my face and I'm only 30 seconds into the video. He really is wonderful! 😍
I can’t thank you enough. I have been using your recipes making bread and sourdough pancakes. However this afternoon I spent my time enjoying you and your family. You all are wonderful people. So kind and loving. Thank you again for everything and GOD BLESS YOU ALL. 💕🙏🏼
What a sweet guy! You are most blessed among women to have such a wonderful son Mary!
Wow, thank you
I cued this up while I chopping veggies -- lots and lots of veggies for pizza toppings.
You are so kind! Thank you!! Love, Mary
